As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Trump Predicts Vote on Obamacare Repeal as Early as Next Week

Not sure what new formula they have.

I know everyone is saying that you need a healthcare bill to raise money for tax reform, that Trump knows he needs to please his base, and so forth. But if there’s one thing that will put this over the top, it’s that Trump doesn’t like to lose.

From the Washington Examiner:

President Trump predicted Thursday that he would get a vote on a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare as early as next week, but held open the idea that it might take longer.

He also said Congress would vote on some measure to extend funding for the federal government next week.

“I wanna get both,” Trump said at a press conference at the White House with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni. “Are you shocked to hear that?”

Trump said Republicans were doing “very well” on a healthcare bill, “and we’ll see what happens.” He gave those answers just hours after Republicans were considering a new compromise that they hoped would bring centrist and conservative Republicans together.

Trump is pressuring Republicans to act as early as next week, in part to help deliver Trump a win on healthcare in his first 100 days in office.

Yeah, he needs a win. Gorsuch isn’t as much Trump’s victory as it is McConnell’s.
