As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Trump May be Closing in on a Healthcare Deal with Freedom Caucus

This is a big scoop. President Trump is potentially homing in on a deal with conservatives. Obamacare repeal and replace could be back on the map by week’s end.

House Freedom Caucus members and White House officials are hopeful they can reach an agreement in negotiations over the resurrected plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, despite President Trump’s threats to ditch the conservative voting bloc and strike a healthcare deal with Democrats instead.

“I’m cautiously optimistic that we may be able to reach a path forward by week’s end,” a Freedom Caucus source told the Washington Examiner. “Despite the administration saying a week or so back they’d no longer pursue healthcare reform at this time, that has changed and we continue to be in active communication with the White House.”

The administration’s initial attempt to shepherd a Republican healthcare bill through the House ended on March 24 in a bitter defeat when, amid flagging GOP support for the legislation, Speaker Paul Ryan canceled a planned floor vote and signaled negotiations would conclude for the foreseeable future.

  1. For pete’s sake – cut the crap, quit agonizing over sentences in the worst legislation ever enacted ( following prohibition. Take a stand and put a sell-by, end-date, find your own insurance day, and let the market take over what it does best.

Children don’t have to be on their parent’s health insurance when they’re 19 years old and old enough to buy their own. We don’t need to be told what doctor we are allowed to visit, nor should our doctor be told what he/she can or cannot do for us.
Kill the thing. Cut off it’s head!.
    Repeal the whole stinking mess.

  2. I guess all it took was a golf game for rand paul to cave, I was starting to be a fan-should have known better

if this doesn’t lower my premiums or deductibles what’s the point-i am sure it won’t

Thanks for nothing freedom caucus (and dt)

  3. Where in the Constitution does it say that the government shall control health insurance/ health care? It doesn’t. Repeal Obamacare and reject RINOcare.

    • Just do a simple REPEAL of ObamaCare (aka: HillaryCare), with a set date for the repeal to take effect (e.g. “December 31st, 2017).

This will FORCE everyone back to the table for further discussions, which (hopefully) will not include *ME* paying the healthcare costs for someone *ELSE* (through taxes, fines, fees, etc.). The “Gravy Train” had to stop sometime, and that time is now. People are going to have to learn to take care of themselves, and stop living on “Free Stuff” (which isn’t free).
