Trump Wins Week One: All Nominees on the Road to Confirmation

This was supposed to be the week President-elect Trump’s nominees endured tough grilling and determined opposition in Senate confirmation hearings. “Trump Cabinet picks face extreme vetting ahead of confirmation,” USA Today reported last month, predicting that several Trump picks could face a very difficult time on Capitol Hill, according to Byron York of the Washington Examiner.

Now Week One is ending, and the tough grilling mostly didn’t materialize. And all of Trump’s first week of nominees seem headed toward confirmation.

Seven Trump picks — Attorney General-designate Jeff Sessions, Homeland Security Secretary-designate John Kelly, Secretary of State-designate Rex Tillerson, Transportation Secretary-designate Elaine Chao, Defense Secretary-designate James Mattis, Housing and Urban Development Secretary-designate Ben Carson, and CIA Director-designate Mike Pompeo — faced Senate committees this week. The number included three of the so-called Big Four Cabinet positions — attorney general, secretary of state, and secretary of defense.

  1. All good men. No reason for it not to have gone well. Despite Marco Rubio and Kamala Harris.

OT Heard a clip on the radio Steve Harvey going to meet with Trump. He said he “was ordered to” and just “following orders”, referencing Obama’s long farewell and encouragement of people to get up and into the community. That was an “order’? Obama a Field Marshall now? Interesting choice of words by Harvey.

    • Following orders just like he is Hitler’s ghost!
“Orders” like in the BUN Nazi Germany? Sounds like it! Field Marshall Obama, “sprecken ze Deutsche anyone?” Who cares this Hitler’s reign is over! We know he’ll still be doing his evil behind the scenes as he has the mentality of a high school boy and The Devil himself. Obama, the sick puppy, we see it all come out now, he’s been outed, right Barry? You can say and write and order all the evil things you want to against Trump, but you will never succeed with Trump. He’s got your number and as they say in your Hollywood ad to the stars, “HE WILL SURVIVE”! Do yourself a favor Barry, go to a shrink and get over yourself.
