Obama to Plot with Dems on Ways to Maintain Obamacare

Republicans will have to take no prisoners. This is Obama’s legacy, and Dems will fight to preserve it. From the Washington Examiner:

President Obama will meet with congressional Democrats next week to discuss efforts to preserve portions of his signature healthcare law despite the incoming administration’s promise to repeal it.

House and Senate Democrats will huddle with the president at 9 a.m. Wednesday in what is likely to be the last opportunity many will have to speak with Obama before he leaves office on Jan. 20.

Obama will discuss the “dangers posed by congressional Republicans’ stated strategy to repeal the [Affordable Care Act] before proposing any replacement, creating chaos in the health system in the short run – and holding hostage Americans’ health care – while Republicans develop their plan,” a White House official said.

  1. Scare tactics again. The insurance companies are not going to refuse payment for existing plans while the Repubs put together something newer or better or throw the whole thing back to the market place.
What will cease is the penalty for not buying insurance, the massive subsidies that make Obamacare a sneaky “Medicaid” and cost taxpayers billions. Other measures that make our lives miserable in Obamacare will disappear, too.
So, yeah, go ahead Dems – defend the indefensible. The voters already voiced their hatred of the law.

  2. 2 days at work doing ridiculous date entry reporting for 150 employees if they had stupid Obamacare offer/coverage was sooooo annoying, not even logical the parameters that were required. But it’s done just like little barry!!! CHEERS!
