As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Saturday Open Thread || November 26, 2016

As you are probably aware, Fidel Castro is finally dead. Haven’t heard from the White House yet, but I’ll let you know what President Obama says when I have the statement.

I’m not going to eat breakfast, because if he praises the Cuban health care system or something, I won’t be able to hold it down.

  1. De cluttering for the New Year.

    Hillary Clinton will never be President. Fidel Castro will never draw another breath or cause another death.

    Good start.

    • Gracepc, “decluttering” what a great way to put it. When Paul (my husband) told me this morning that Castro had died and Florida is dancing in the streets, my first thought was “what a year of dreams come true!”

      • This means so much to so many Cuban Americans who fled Cuba. I copied this comment.

        I’m almost 42 years old. I just made the best and most emotional call I’ve ever made to my parents. To tell them Fidel Castro is dead.

        Live in Cuba, have your family destroyed get back to me. My mother never got to bury her mother because of that man. He can rot in hell.

        Picture the devil. Now picture him dying. That’s how Cuban-Americans feel right now.

        • Wow. That is powerful. thank you very much for sharing it with us.

          I am so grateful that President Trump was willing to tell the truth about Castro. The media & elites who are eulogizing him are showing their loyalties, and it isn’t to liberty.

  2. When Barry reads about the death of The Butcher of Havana in the newspaper when he wakes up at about noontime, he’ll most likely declare a national day of mourning, order all government employees to wear a black armband, order US flags to be at half staff.

  3. Worried about the recounts. Might be pressure from MSM if Trumps numbers slip. One elector from Oregon already said will not follow states results!
