As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Video || Obama, Larry Wilmore at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Here are the main speeches from the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last night – the comments by President Obama, where were fairly funny, and by comedian Larry Wilmore. Wilmore was good but didn’t kill it like some comedians have in the past.

Obama’s speech is preceded by a video, compiled by a couple of White House journalists, which includes some of the most significant, and least significant, moments of the Obama presidency.

  1. I didn’t watch it (actually the mere thought of watching it nauseated me) so I am amused by some of the comments in the article posted on this subject in the WSJ. The three top reader recommended comments! :-) Couldn’t have said it better myself. Happy, albeit very rainy, Sunday.

    1. Has there ever been a president so narcissistic and so bereft of accomplishments?

    2. Just proves that Obama’s a jerk even at a dinner party.

    3. Too bad Obama doesn’t realize he’s the joke!

  2. I read about Wilmore’s stuff in the Wash Post. Seemed more appropriate for a roast…Sort of out of synch with the tenor. His jokes also were dated–the Zodiac killer? How about BTK? And of course, the obligatory swipe at Fox…wonder if he ever watched it…didn’t seem like it. I guess since he is light-skinned, he feels he must drag out the black material…It’s all been said before if you watch a lot of comedians, which I do.

  3. Did Dictator Obama toss out handfuls of Milk Bone Dog Biscuits to his drooling lapdogs of the media in the audience before or after his I, I, I, me, me, me, I hate America, blah, blah, blah, teleprompter speech?
