  1. Wow, a whole hour (maybe) of “work” today, and then lunch? Tough life.

This week brings yet ANOTHER party with celebs and Obummer pals on Wednesday night. I’m really sick of this BS “In Performance at the White House series” they’ve been doing for seven long years now. Party, party, party…

Also, Friday is mysteriously being kept open with “schedule will be released in the coming days.” Usually they just say Obummer “will attend meetings at the White House” when they want to keep it open or not have some event or trip on the schedule too far in advance. Friday’s schedule being “released in the coming days” might mean a trip somewhere, possibly a fundraiser.

I won’t even ask what the heck Thursday is about. I flipping give up.

SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 22, 2016

On Monday, the President will deliver remarks and take questions from the National Governors Association at the White House.

On Tuesday, the President will attend a DNC Roundtable in Washington, DC.

On Wednesday, the President will host His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan at the White House. The United States greatly values its enduring and strategic partnership with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as our shared initiatives on a broad range of diplomatic and security challenges. During their meeting, the President and King Abdullah will discuss efforts to counter ISIL, resolve the Syrian conflict, address the needs of Syrian and Iraqi refugees in Jordan and how the U.S. can continue to support the Kingdom’s generosity in hosting these refugees, and assist Jordan as it continues its political and economic reform initiatives. They will also discuss how best to advance prospects for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and other issues of mutual interest.

In the evening, the President and First Lady will invite top contemporary artists to the White House as part of its “In Performance at the White House” series. The event celebrates the iconic singer, songwriter, composer and musician Ray Charles. The program will include performances by Yolanda Adams, Leon Bridges, Andra Day, Anthony Hamilton, Brittany Howard, Demi Lovato, Sam Moore, Jussie Smollett, The Band Perry and Usher with Rickey Minor as executive music director.

On Thursday, the President will deliver remarks at an event on precision medicine at the White House.

Further details about Friday’s schedule will be released in the coming days.

    • And to add the chaos and mayhem Obama is committed to deliver to the nation, we have this:

“Almost 90,000 dangerous illegal immigrants go free”

“Nearly 60 percent of illegal immigrants identified by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as criminal threats are not deported and are eventually released, the latest example of the Obama administration’s failed immigration policy.”

      http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/almost-90000-dangerous-illegal-immigrants-go-free/article/2583597

    • Given this crap from the absolutely corrupt and criminal DOJ, and Marco Rubio’s spin on immigration –http://patterico.com/2016/02/22/refuting-the-lies-about-cruz-told-by-rubio-and-his-supporters/ –the RINO, Stupid Party cannot understand why something like this –http://www.westernjournalism.com/watch-father-of-teen-murdered-by-illegal-just-said-3-words-about-trump-that-are-turning-heads/–is so appealing to the American voter . We are overwhelmed with illegals and foreigners — stuffed to the gills with them. We provide for them, allow them to commit crimes with little punishment, have a revolving deportation door, and now we are going to provide an avenue for them to vote. Why in the heck the majority of this Administration and the Democrat machine is not in jail is beyond me.

    • I have a friend of 40 yrs who loves that clunky woodcut artist guy or whatever he is–my friend even went to a show of his works…See what I am dealing with? You guys only have to put up with me–I have worse issues…

      • You’re fine, don’t worry. Speaking of woodcuts and such, I have a friend who “sculpts” with a chainsaw. You’ve probably seen that sort of thing in TV. It’s a loud, smoky art form, but he can take a block of wood, even hardwood, and create a bear, a princess, a dog, anything you want. For the kids, he takes a little block of wood, one inch square, and with his penknife, whittles out little rabbits. Takes him about a minute to do it. Kids just love it.

        • Kewl. Back in my reporting days I did a story for Washingtonian on ice sculpture and I remember watching a chef with a chainsaw scream into a 300lb block in the alley behind the Hyatt on the Hill. I was impressed. The cross-hatched basket with handle he made was sort of scraped and cloudy…I said, do you polish it? He said nope, Mother Nature does..of course–melting…

          • You have to wonder where they get this sort of talent, and the skill to pull it off. Who was the first one to decide, “I’m going to use my chainsaw to do some ice carving”? I do woodcarvings (small ones) and do a lot of landscape sketching (pencil only), but am mediocre, skill-wise. My finished work is OK, but not great, ya know? You can more or less tell if it’s a mountain or a tree. Or maybe it’s a moose. ;+} They’ll never ask me to do a showing at the Metropolitan Museum of Great Art. ;+} but I find it relaxing, and the process seems to tap into a peaceful, quiet part of my life. Right now, I’m working on a pencil sketch of my granddaughter in her ballerina get up. She’s 13 and at the age where she’s very sensitive about how she looks. I better get it right!

          • Who was the first one to decide, “I’m going to use my chainsaw to do some ice carving”? Probably the exec chef–who told this guy not to lollygag around and just get sometime that looked a little like a swan and not a runover chicken and get back on the line.

  2. OT, but interesting in this election year, and reveals the distribution of voters.

The electorate is 41% Democratic and 42% Republican, after the November 2014 elections. However, an earlier 2013 Gallup survey found that 42% of Americans identified as political independents, a record high.

So, it looks like we are pretty evenly distributed among D’s, R’s, and I’s. The I’s have to be are a key target, one would think, for the current candidates. It’ll be interesting to see how the votes get distributed election day.

  3. I’m always facsinated by the lunch with Biden…my brother and I loved fried bologna….gotta have wonder bread…..something tells me old Joe might request that too
