  1. From Sylvia Burwell’s HHS.gov page:

The “Healthy Self” campaign is about connecting people to the care they need and empowering them to take a more active role in their health.

So, it should come as no surprise that a dozen plus children were delivered into the hands of traffickers, who had the same children working twelve-hour days on a chicken farm 6-7 days a week, living in filth, no heat, no hot water and no beds.

  2. Well, January is over so now we have just eleven months and three weeks to go. Barry still has 51 weeks left to continue destroying the country.

Tuesday is not going to be a good day. McConnell and Ryan will work with Obummer to keep screwing us all over.

Schedule for the Week of February 1, 2016

On Monday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Tuesday, the President will meet with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan to discuss legislative priorities for the coming months. Building on the bipartisan budget agreement the President signed into law last year, they will discuss areas of cooperation for the year ahead, and opportunities for Congress to work together to deliver for the American people.

On Wednesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Thursday, the President will deliver remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast. In the afternoon, the President will welcome the 2015 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors to the White House to honor the team on winning their Championship title. This visit will continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to their communities. Later in the afternoon, the President will welcome President Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia to the White House for an official working visit. The leaders will hold a bilateral meeting and a commemoration of 15 years of bipartisan cooperation through Plan Colombia, the joint effort to create a safer, more prosperous future for Colombians.

On Friday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

    • May I add to your Wednesday schedule for Obama?

      > The Baltimore mosque President Obama has chosen as the first U.S.-based mosque to visit during his presidency has deep ties to extremist elements, including to the Muslim Brotherhood.

The White House announced on Saturday that Obama will visit the Islamic Society of Baltimore (ISB) on Wednesday. He has visited several mosques overseas as president but has resisted visiting one in the homeland. The purpose of the trip, according to the White House, is to “celebrate the contributions Muslim Americans make to our nation and reaffirm the importance of religious freedom to our way of life.”

      http://dailycaller.com/2016/01/30/the-us-mosque-obama-has-chosen-for-his-first-presidential-visit-has-deep-extremist-ties/

      • AZ Granny, so he will “celebrate the contributions Muslim Americans make to the nation ” ? Really ? I certainly hope he will tell us about it.
I do not mean to say that there are not any good, decent, hardworking people among them as well as among other groups because of course there are, but I would really like to hear about the benefits and contributions of Islam to a western society.

        • One thing for sure, a speech about the so-called “contributions Muslim Americans make to the nation” will be a very, very short speech.

          • Nope. Didn’t invent medical doctors–stole from the Greeks. Didn’t invent “zero” which, as we know it, that comes from 7th century India–though the “idea” of zero goes back to Sumerians, 4000 BC. Didn’t invent poetry (obviously). Didn’t even invent algebra (which some claim they did. They did make contributions, as did many others. That goes back to ancient Babylonians, with huge advances by the Greeks.

Muslims did “invent” (hate the word) the concept of cameras (projecting images on a screen), military marching bands, degree granting universities, the compass, carpets, wheel barrows, chess, water clocks, the three course meal, coffee as a drink, soap, the guitar, how the eye works and eyeglasses, hospitals, treatments for the esophagus and the ear. Bunch of other stuff.

So, when they weren’t killing each other and everyone else in sight, they did some neat stuff.

      • If there is any more proof that this POTUS doesn’t have a clue of what America is or how she was founded it’s in his delusion of the “contributions” Muslims made to America.
What notes/memos/diaries/letters of the Founding Fathers has he read that I haven’t? Because I have yet to EVER find the Founders referencing their Muslim brothers and how without Islam the revolution could have never succeeded. And remember folks, it’s only in past few years that America has been letting 100,000 of thousands in, many from those very same countries that want to destroy us.
I personally could care less what your personal religious beliefs are but I do stand on my statement that “Islam is more a form of government than a religion.” And when you get down to it, except for geographic location and date how is Muhammad any different than Joseph Smith? Islam found a willing populace in the Middle East and then tried to conquer Europe. Same is happening today yet the Middle Ages didn’t have to fight liberalism AND the caliphate.

        • Boy, have you nailed it. Obama absolutely never references the Founders, the US Constitution, US History, the nature of our government, our historic role in the world, our contributions, etc. Not for eight years. This is beyond weird.

He’s just not well grounded in the American experience, not at ease or proud of who we are as a nation, our culture, our values, our principles. Obama is like Valentine Michael Smith, the character in Robert Heinlein’s science fiction work, “Stranger in a Strange Land”. Smith was a human who comes to Earth in early adulthood after being born on the planet Mars and raised by Martians. That’s Obama.

He has this extraordinarily peculiar view of us as a people, and it’s beyond embarrassing and insulting when he delivers speeches around the world apologizing for the United States and its “mistakes” .

What a sad state the Presidency has become under Obama. We’re about to change that. Yes, we are.

          • Star, that’s always the gamble we take every election, isn’t it? It’s like betting on a favorite horse. The owner of the horse can brag all all day about what a great horse it is. But who knows until the horse actually begins the race? The challenge is that we never really know how a POTUS will act until the person is sitting down for the first time in the Oval Room. That’s where and when the tire meets the road (or the hoof meets the dirt) and who knows where a POTUS will drive the machine? Sometimes we’ve been lucky, and sometimes, not. Hold your breath! It’s gonna be a wild ride!

      • Wasn’t there a boy and a clock?

And if “Obama is so convinced the Muzzies have made contributions to America why doesn’t he parade all of his administrative Muslims in front of the american people so we can see exactly how finely they have infiltrated the American government. And there is a heck of a difference between infiltrating and contributing.

        • Today on Drudge Report: “Minnesota groups seek money to help keep youth from extremism” ( AP ) The youngsters are American-Somalian Muslims. And my own country contributes with hundreds of Muslims ( with foreign backgrounds and Swedish citizenships ) who are more than delighted to join ISIS. Two of them were arrested in Greece today on their way to Syria. I do hope that this scum will serve their sentences in the Greek prisons, not here.

        • Yes, we’d particularly want to meet the members of the Muslim Brotherhood (mothership of radical jihadists) he’s placed in sensitive positions (Homeland Security, e.g.) in his administration. You’ d think Obama would be proud of them. Can’t imagine why he never brags about them. Maybe he forgot about them?

      • Absolutely no surprise Obama cozies up to these people. Because…….

Obama: “Muslim Call to Prayer One of the Prettiest Sounds on Earth”

That’s who he is, for crying out loud. We’ve all figured it out. Would we expect him to say that Gregorian Chant is one of the prettiest sounds on earth?

    • Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are no thing more than power hungry politicians willing to work with anybody to keep themselves in power.

I never believed the reluctant Paul Ryan as Speaker meme. He and McConnell are the reason we have Donald Trump.

      • Well, I respect Ryan and know people who wish he had run again for president this time. I assume you base your scathing comments on the Omnibus bill–well, just in office, he saved us Reps (if that is what many of us are anymore) from trying to explain another shutdown. Let’s see how this plays.

        • I see Paul Ryan as a deceptive, power hungry politician. I never believed his feigned reluctance to be Speaker. He and McConnell are not cooperating with Obama, Pelosi et al, they are colluding. McConnell waves a white flag every time Obama says he is going to oppose the Republicans or veto a bill. He gave money to and supported Democrat candidate against Republican in Mississippi. Ryan is not Boehner, he is worse. He is more like McConnell, Reid and Pelosi.

  3. The best minds, the most dedicated of medical researchers have yet to even determine why some are doomed with cancer, while others are not.
100 years of research, trial and error treatments, untold millions of dollars spent and the scourge of humans still takes it’s toll.

That this arrogant, ignorant President thinks he can form a “task force” to eliminate cancer from humanity is insulting to all of us who have had to deal with the disease or watch as loved ones struggle to overcome it.

    • And I posted today on how 63% of those with major medical bills are headed to the poor house even with insurance (Kaiser). Or foregoing care. Our going out of network to the tune of umpty bucks. Of can’t nego a price or if they do, the provider turns it down.

      • Correction–one in five with major issues have trouble paying even with insurance and for 63% of THOSE, it requires cutbacks in housing food or other necessities or other medical care.

        • Most of the republicans say they will stop the ACA in it’s tracks.
None of them have stated what they will replace it with, at least not that I have heard.
Trump has said that he wants to open it up across state lines, which I agree with.

There is no reason why someone in Ohio can’t buy insurance from a company based in Iowa for example.

          • The state line thing is not sufficient fiscally to make a go. I still think they could dial back all the frills like free birth control, massages, etc and keep the ban on not letting people buy bec of pre-exstings and the ban on cancelling if people get really sick. Don’t let the kids stay on until 26–that was ridic and pandering. They could also cut all the federally controlled pilot programs in the bill, the dementia testing, the wellness stuff, etc and maybe give back the money they took from Medicare. Trump, by the way, wants it for all–which means all will pay in taxes–universal. HSAs etc will not cut it, Reps.

    • Do you think an avowed socialist (Bernie)
or a crook like Clinton is going to fix this mess ?
Obama has 11 months to go yet.
He is going to ride this Country into the ground, or try to.

      • That’s why this election is probably the most critical in Americas history.
Imo, the very future and survival of this country is dependent on the outcome this election.
Wasn’t it reported that an estimated 10 million voters didn’t vote for Rommney because he was a Mormon?
I might be wrong on this but I remember reading it.
Now, I don’t mean to insult anyone or their convictions, but not to vote at all is a failure of responsible citizenship.
Hold your nose, carry a vomit bag, carry some smelling salts, but vote.
It may be the last free vote in America.
OK, I’m ready for the flack.

        • Nope Cisco, I held my nose and voted against Obama in both elections.
          This one is critical.
However there is a long time to go yet.
Keep your powder dry and watch and listen.

        • I never understood people who don’t vote. It is our civic duty, and our proud privilege. Our ancestors died fighting for the right to vote. Even now, people in other countries are fighting and giving their lives for the freedom to vote, a freedom we enjoy. Not voting because your candidate isn’t the favourite is a selfish and self indulgent act. If you don’t vote, you cannot complain. If you don’t vote, don’t bitch and moan when the Democrats win.

      • This Country is already down the drain economically as it is.
It’s going to take a major effort to get us back on track.
Our debt is outrageous, and it has been exacerbated under Obama.

  4. Just pulled up http://www.weaselzippers.us
German Mayor advises girls harassed by Mu/lim refugees: “Just don’t provoke them”…
179,000 are coming here. I have not read anything in the news since that was announced of Congress working on stopping this from happening. Our US citizens girls, boys, woman, men do not deserve to be attacked by these maniacs.

    • I’ll tell you what Lee, if any of the islamist invaders pull that s**t on American women, I guarantee there will be some serious ass-kicking.
I’m no sociologist, but American women are a different breed.
They know how to resist and have the “tools” to defend themselves.
There of course there are men and women who are passive to the point of victimhood.
But try grabbing or molesting a women here, and when your stitches heal, give me a call.

      • There is a comedian, I forget his name, who does a bit on a black woman married to a Muslim…He tells her to walk five paces behind and she bristles. “You did UNT just say that, who you talkin’ to?” It went on in that vein.

        • True that Star.
Many a ” disturbance on the street ” assignment and arriving find a women giving a beat down to a male.
” He called me a bitch, yes mam’, he disrespected me, yes mam’, you know Officer I don’t take that s**t from ANY man, yes mam’.
Here’s the date and time he’ll be in court.
A different breed I tell ya’.

    • I went to a local store yesterday. Somewhat like a TJ Maxx or a Marshall’s. A man was walking across the parking lot as I pulled in to park. He sauntered along in front of me – oblivious to the fact there was a vehicle behind him?
A little later I saw the same guy in the store. Two 20 something women were looking at purses and I watched him as he walked up and down the closest aisles to these young women. Over and over he walked those aisles…looking at those women and occasionally trying to catch their eye as he grinned.
They were either oblivious to him or they were deliberately ignoring him. He was a short man of Mexican descent I would guess. Probably late 20s to early 30s. Finally, I watched him give up his pursuit and leave the store. Really and truly – had he tried any funny business, I would have cold cocked him. Frankly, pissed me off big time.

      • Excellent Aileen.
        It’s called situational awareness.
I see people, male and female alike talking on cell phones, texting or worse, listening on headphones.
        Easy pickings for the predators.
It’s not paranoia, simply knowing who’s around you and what are they doing.
Trust your instincts its your body and mind saying ” something ain’t right “

    • Just imagine what will happen in the summer, when women wear (gasp!) shorts and halter tops, when the beaches and pools are full of tempting young things in bikinis…

  5. So what’s a “Ceremonial Office”? Is that for when Dear Leader invites Biden to the WH? Is it some storeroom they convert for those infamous lunches. And am I correct to assume that Dear Leader and Joe plan to cure cancer before 1/20/17? Has he finished healing the seas like he promised? What about all the crumbling roads and bridges? It’s hard to keep up.

    • It’s all part of the Obama mythology we’ve been awash in since his handlers pushed him onto the public stage. It’s all pre-planned, of course. Remember the photos of him with Greek columns, a halo around his head, etc. Just wait until he leaves office and his people start rewriting his history, biography, White House “accomplishments”, etc. It’s going to get so heavy and deep we’ll all need wellies and raincoats to move around outside the house.

Feel bad for the future high school and college students of the not too distant future.

  6. He was serious about that whole cancer thing?!? I guess the lefties are right: Bumbles could cure cancer and we’d still think he was a worthless POS!

    • Gracepc,I started to read that Cosmo Chelsea article before I went to work today and it just made me ill. All those categories of people, half I could not even identify what they may be. How did this happen?? gag

  7. Incredible gpmc, the same spiel, Republicans, right wing, bla, bla, f’king blah.
Poor Chelsa, mother a pathological liar and father a sexual abuser of women.
Of course she has the ClintonFoundation millions to ease her suffering. JEEZ!

  8. Oh no, I am crushed. Cruz won ! How is it possible ? How can the voters trust this man ? He radiates and emits deceit and falseness in my opinion. And then Hillary…. What a sad, sad morning.

    • I’m good with Cruz and Trump as #1 and #2. Now someone needs to tell Fox News that No, Rubio did not win. He came in #3.

And Hillary with 6 coin tosses. If I were Sanders I would present some sort of challenge. Hillary can cheat without batting one little scrawny eyelash.

      • Megyn Kelly: “The big story may be tonight Marco Rubios 3rd place finish”

So, third place, not winning, is the big news for Princess Megyn.

        • Fox’s biases, political preferences and leanings are as obvious as the mouse poops on the barn floor, aren’t they? What a pathetic operation they’ve become, with Kelly as the Queen of Creepiness.

        • Rubio is the GOP establishment backup if and when Jeb finally bows out. That’s been the set up from the beginning. He’s in the inner circle. If he had come in last in the caucus, Fox et al would have headlined it as “Rubio Wins Last Place, Beats All Others To Prestigious Loss!”

          • HA. Fox last one in the MSM to fine tune the “art” of propaganda . Someone should tell them that propaganda delivered by attractive people is propaganda nonetheless.

            MSNBC — Demokrats

            FOX — GOPe

    • SL…Trump and Cruz are popular among many R voters for quite different reasons. Trump is brash, on the attack, publicly insulting the GOP establishment and the media, loud, funny at times, awkward at times, declares what many already believe about the backroom political arrangements, etc. I personally believe Trump is apolitical–not quite a Republican, not quite a Democrat, in any traditional sense.

Cruz is popular because he’s a strong conservative, centered, extremely bright, articulate, confident, courageous, strong supporter of the Constitution. He knows what he’s all about. The media has been trying to paint Cruz as unlikable, difficult, etc. Who cares if he’s likable as defined by the media? No one. That’s not why we hire a President, or shouldn’t be the only reason, at least. That’s not why those who support him, support him. Like Trump, Cruz calls it as he sees it. Both do it very differently, but people like that trait in them.

Neither Trump nor Cruz is the perfect candidate, not even close. There are no perfect candidates.
