  1. I knew he would be taking Monday off, because he had to “work” on Sunday for all of three hours door to door:

On Sunday, the President will travel to Emmitsburg, Maryland to deliver remarks at the 34th National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service. The President will honor 84 heroic firefighters who have died in the line of duty in 2014 and three firefighters who died in previous years. The President looks forward to thanking our nation’s firefighters for the extraordinary courage they display every day, particularly during these challenging times as communities across the Western United States combat the recent wildfires.

  2. Hang in there Barry, you get to travel to the West Coast (Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles!) on Friday and Saturday. And, you even get to have a Friday night and Saturday away from the Mooch!

Hmm, I wonder if he’s returning to DC on Saturday night or staying out there to meet the Choom Gang for some golf on Sunday?

Also, WTH is this event on Thursday: “the Summit on Worker Voice will look to energize a new generation of Americans to come together and recognize the potential power of their voice at work.”

Really? Okay, I hear your “voice”, now please shut up, do your job, and be happy that I’m giving you a paycheck (and benefits) on Friday. There, now you can skip the bullcrap “Summit”. You’re welcome.

Schedule for the Week of October 5, 2015

On Monday and Tuesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Wednesday, the President will host President Joachim Gauck of Germany for a meeting in the Oval Office. President Gauck’s visit will mark the 25th anniversary of German reunification and underscore the abiding friendship and partnership between the United States and Germany. The President looks forward to discussing ways to build on this partnership in the pursuit of common values and shared strategic and economic goals.

In the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks and participate in a town hall at the White House Summit on Worker Voice. The Summit will focus on how workers can make their voices heard in the workplace in ways that are good for workers and businesses. As we work to continue to address economic inequality, and as we adapt to the challenges and opportunities presented by our changing workforce, the Summit on Worker Voice will look to energize a new generation of Americans to come together and recognize the potential power of their voice at work.

On Thursday, the President will deliver remarks at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s (CHCI) 38th Anniversary Awards Gala at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

On Friday, the President will travel to the Seattle, WA area to attend an event for Senator Patty Murray and the Washington State Democratic Party and a DNC event. Later in the day, the President will travel to the San Francisco, CA area for a DNC event. The President will remain overnight in San Francisco.

On Saturday, October 9, the President will attend a DNC event and travel to the Los Angeles area for DNC and DSCC events. Further details about the President’s travel to Washington and California will be made available in the coming days.

  3. Hmmmm. Yesterday (Oct. 3) was the O’s 23rd wedding anniversary. He tweeted on his personal account: “23 years and still going strong.”
    She did not tweet back.

No mention of any celebration – nada, nil, nothing.
This will be the couple’s last wedding anniversary in the WH, according to this article. Does that mean they will be gone next Oct.? Or divorced?
    Hmmmm.

    • Interesting that Mooch didn’t tweet about their anniversary.

And, yes, it’s odd the article says this is their last anniversary in the WH. They’ll be there next October, obviously. All I can say is I’m glad that next year is their 24th and not 25th, or there would likely be some huge party with all their friends on our dime.

As far as my comment up above with the weekly schedule, I just realized that next Monday, October 12th, is Columbus Day. So, I’m going on record as betting that after his two days of West Coast fundraising ends up in LA next Saturday, Barry will indeed meet the Choom Gang out at Sunnylands, as per usual, for yet another boys’ golf weekend and he’ll return late Monday.

      • He’s always out of town on holidays, including Father’s Day. He seems to gravitate to the Palm Springs area – the international playground for gays. It’s a 30 minute plane ride from L.A. to PS. Can we connecct the dots???

The ‘season’ is just beginning – beautiful weather for golf.

    • I couldn’t care less about their anniversary, but they do deserve each other. Thanks to him and his policies, most Americans can’t afford their own anniversary celebrations.

  4. After speaking at the Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on Sunday, Barry just had to squeeze in some golf:

    Mark Knoller ‏@markknoller
Marine One flew Pres Obama from Emmitsburg to @AndrewsAirForce for a round of golf. It’s 58° and cloudy. Only 15% chance of rain.
    1:56 PM – 4 Oct 2015

    Mark Knoller ‏@markknoller
After 3½ hours on at the golf course. Pres Obama back at the WH. Tomorrow: no events on his schedule at this writing.
    6:18 PM – 4 Oct 2015

  5. I am dumbfounded why NO ONE on FOXNews ever mentions his “daily schedule” and how empty/pathetic it is…?
Not even some of the stronger ‘conservative’ talking heads (the few I pay attention too nowadays).
~Is there some rule in the “media” they are not allowed to report/cover what Dear Leader Obama does not do all day…???

  6. I am surprised by his schedule once again. To read that there was no mention of him taking the time review what is going on with Russia.
It would be a comfort to see any sitting Pres. doing so. Daily Briefing. That does not bring much comfort. However that is typical.
