As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Koffler on TV Set Discussing Trump

I was on the Newsmax’s The Hard Line with Ed Berliner show Wednesday evening talking about Donald Trump. I mention his massive PR triumph Thursday in heading to the Texas border – none of the other candidates will be able to get any coverage.

So just before the interview starts, I’m sitting at home in my suit and tie in front of my computer waiting for the Skype to get rolling when they inform me there’s problems with the hookup and we’ll have to do it by phone.

So instead of video they used this photo of me I put on the Internets because I looked like a jerk and I thought it was funny . . . At least I was seven years younger and had less gray hair!

“The Hard Line” with Emmy award-winning host Ed Berliner can be seen weeknights 9pm ET on NewsmaxTV, which is found on DirecTV at channel 349, DISH 223, Verizon FiOS 115.

  1. I watched/listened, whatever to the broadcast.
I differ from the common question of “why” does MrTrump resonate with the public to “why” it isn’t obvious to all the pundits.

The messenger, MrTrump, isn’t as important as the message – we are mad as Hell and tired of being silenced by our betters who decided what we should want.
No. No, we’re not OK with ‘undocumented immigrants’ – they’re criminal/illegal aliens who have invaded our country. We want our government to form a program to send them back to their homelands.
No. No, we’re not OK with our betters calling us derogatory names for expressing our personal views on anything.
No. No, we’re not at all satisfied that the Repubs we sent to DC are doing what they promised to do.
No No, we’re not happy with the racist/racial WhiteHouse and government agencies.

Why is that so hard for anyone to say out loud?
SenRubio says the POTUS has “no class” – what other sitting President has ever been described thusly – none.
Some here call MrsObama the “mooch” – what other FLOTUS

    • oops. ….FLOTUS has been so despised for her constant use of public monies for her personal gain?
We’re mad, fed up, and disgusted by the political elites and the MSM that protects them.

      • Thank you SRDEM!! There, now it is said!

Olmstead v US – Page 277 US 485 (1928) Associate Justice Brandeis dissenting opinion: “Decency, security and liberty alike demand that government officials shall be subjected to the same rules of conduct that are commands to the citizen. In a government of laws, existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our Government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the Government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.”

      • Thank you Srdem65!

Trump is NOT part of the political machine, that’s why he scares the crap out of the GOP. His decisions are not bought and sold by the tangled political webs. He is practiced up enough to NOT be bullied by the liberal pc MSM monster.

    • I agree. I was thinking, sadly, as I watched this — what is going on here is that the Left and Obama’s campaign against America beginning with the IRS beatdown of the Tea Party has been effective. Increasingly, especially with the MSM supporting the Naked Emperor, Americans have lost their freedom of speech. We are afraid to speak out. Public shaming, the fear of the IRS and the DOJ — pretty formidable weapons used by Obama very effectively –all of that.

Donald Trump is not afraid of that. He can afford not to be. And while I am grateful that he is speaking out and loudly I find it profoundly sad when I consider what it has taken from us as a country. Free Speech.

  2. Here is what we are mad about!

” According to the analysis conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, foreign aliens committed 611,234 unique crimes in Texas from 2008 to 2014, including thousands of homicides and sexual assaults.

The report describes an alien crime wave of staggering proportions exacerbated by federal officials unwilling to enforce immigration laws.”

  3. As seen on Drudge this morning!

  4. Nice Keith. Thanks. I don’t get Kasich, but …. I also thought it was ironic when Obama started talking about polarizing as you go up the ladder. Duh? Like from the top?

  5. Great interview ! I am thrilled to see you get the national exposure. You certainly deserve it being the “only” independent website at the White House.

I agree with Mr Christie regarding Kasich as a dark horse in the race. Him and Walker certainly have the experience in turning states around. I still think it will be a Jeb/Kasich ticket. I would be happy to see FLA and OH turn red……

One thing I believe the Republican Leaders don’t get about Trump and his success so far is their own party members don’t believe what the normal Republican candidates say anymore. They put McConnell and Boehner in leadership positions and they don’t pass legislation that was promised on the campaign trail such as Obamacare and this Trade Pacific Act………they walked hand in hand with the President. The Republicans are treating Obama just like Obama is treating Iran. They are expecting the President to work with them and the President is screaming Death to Republicans the next day just like the Iranians are screaming death to America.

In essence the 2014 elections were to stop Obama not work with him.

  6. Wonderful commentary, Keith – agreed with your every word. Especially liked your comment that people feel as though their country is being pulled out from under them (I think that’s pretty close to what you said).

It’s really too bad that Donald Trump is capturing all of the attention away from the other candidates but it really is their fault – if they addressed the issues that concern people as strongly and as boldly as Donald Trump has, they, too, could garner public attention. Where are they? Why aren’t they descending, en masse, on the Texas border, too?

People have been hungering for some non-politically-correct responses to the left’s bizarre proposals and actions. And the more that they haven’t met resistance, the more audacious the left have become. Mr. Trump has held up his hand and stopped them temporarily but he can’t continue to do it all by himself – the other candidates (other than just Carly Fiorina – who is great by the way) have to show that they are willing to resist just as strongly.

P.S. – Am sorry that the Skype connection failed but you look pretty adorable in the picture that was posted.
