As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

White House Dossier Will Not Publish This Week

White House Dossier will be on hiatus for a week while I do some work behind the scenes and take care of some personal matters. Everything’s fine, but I need to take the week.

As usual when I’m not around, I will post an open thread each day, so you will be in charge of the place. The bar is fully stocked with booze, beer and wine, and there’s several gallons of guacamole in the fridge, but if I have to change the carpet again there’s gonna be trouble. I’m just saying.

I hope you all have a great week. Thanks for your patience. I’ll be back Tuesday, May 26. I can’t rule out writing before then if something pops up that I can’t resist.

This note will stay atop the website for the week while Open Threads will appear below.

  1. We’ll miss you this week, Keith. I hope all is well.

Here’s the Community Agitator’s schedule for the week:

Schedule for the Week of May 18, 2015

On Monday, the President will travel to Camden, New Jersey to visit with local law enforcement and meet with young people in the Camden community. The President will hear directly about the efforts of the Camden County Police Department to build trust between their Department and the community they serve. Camden was recently designated as a “Promise Zone,” which leverages federal grants to increase economic opportunity, reduce crime and improve public health, among other priorities identified by the community. The President will discuss how these kinds of partnerships and community investments are a crucial part of creating ladders of opportunity for all Americans.

On Tuesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Wednesday, the President will travel to New London, Connecticut to deliver the commencement address at the United States Coast Guard Academy. While in Connecticut, the President will also attend a DNC event. Further details about the President’s travel to Connecticut will be available in the coming days.

On Thursday, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with President Beji Caid Essebsi of Tunisia at the White House. The visit will underscore the United States’ longstanding friendship with Tunisia, our commitment to strengthening and expanding our strategic partnership with Tunisia’s new government, and our support for the Tunisian people following their historic 2014 democratic elections. President Obama looks forward to discussing with President Caid Essebsi a range of issues pertaining to the continued consolidation of Tunisia’s democracy, U.S.-Tunisian security cooperation, and Tunisia’s efforts to advance important economic reforms.

In the afternoon, the President will hold a Cabinet meeting.

On Friday, the President will travel to Congregation Adas Israel, one of the largest congregations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, to deliver remarks in celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month, which recognizes the contributions of Jewish Americans to American society and culture. The President’s visit also coincides with Solidarity Shabbat, when government officials in Europe and North America take part in synagogue visits and other events to highlight their commitment to combating anti-Semitism.

In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will host the Diplomatic Corps Reception for the foreign diplomatic corps at the White House.

    • I just read on http://www.foxnews.com that o plans restrictions of m-style equipment to police.
He will ban the Federal Government from providing some military equipment to local departments and putting stricter controls on other weapons and gear.
      He said:
“I’ll highlight steps all cities can take to maintain trust between the brave law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line, and the communities they’re sworn to serve and protect”.
In addition, a longer list of equipment will come under tighter control, including wheeled armored vehicles like humvees, manned aircraft, drones, spealized firearms, explosives, battering arms, and riot batons, helmets and shields.
Starting in October they will have to get approval from city council, mayor or some other local governing body to obtain it.

  2. Hope you have a productive week. I think we could have a great thread speculating what juicy news tidbit would draw you back.

  3. Have a good week Keith.

Just saw a snippet about backlog of legal immigrants as illegals are processed first. What I saw was some kind of swearing in ceremony — largely Hispanic — dressed casually in jeans and tee shirts

Once upon a time people dressed respectfully and celebrated.

If you get something for free you don’t appreciate it.

I have long held that Jeh Johnson should be fired for failure to enforce the law. The law — another rapidly disappearing “feature ” of America under the rule of Obama.

    • Don’t know the significance exactly, but Giuliana Rancic–in her memoirs–says all they asked her was how long she had been here–since you were a kid, OK, you’re in! She had actually studied–not something she was prone to do–and wanted more questions.

    • Wishing you the best, Keith. Since this is Memorial Day weekend coming up, you can almost bet some bombshell will be dropped on Friday. Be prepared………….

  4. you’d tell us if there was something wrong, wouldn’t you, Keith? you know we love you!

don’t worry about missing anything on the political scene. there will be plenty of grift and mendacity waiting for your return.

  5. Keith, I believe that you are still working on some very special ‘behind the scenes’ info. My ‘frienimies’ think that FOX News coverage of HRC is giving her too much ‘free press’ and in some ways making her a ‘victim’ instead of a ‘criminal’! Liberals and Dems are doing their best ‘spins’ that makes them more dizzy with fuzzy thinking ~ nothing new ~! If that doesn’t work, a somewhat important Dem is going to stop following her parade!

Take care and WE need more chips! jb

  6. Blumenthal repeatedly lied about his service in Viet Nam when he was running for the Senate in CT. He was, in fact, in the Marine Reserves and received no less than FIVE deferments even with his low draft number of 152.
He squeamishly apologized for his exaggerations by saying he meant to say he ‘served DURING Viet Nam – not IN Viet Nam. What a guy!

**Regardless of Benghazi et al, the Clinton criminal enterprise, IMO, is going to walk away with the next election. Obama has already set the table with racism and immigration. Sad.
