As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

– White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest

  1. I hope everyone in Congress reads this. I missed the whole statement this afternoon on Fox. I heard it from the other room. Backbone!
    Congress needs a backbone!

  2. Slightly off topic; As I was typing my cynical comments I was listening to “Oh Happy Day” by the Edwin Hawkins Singers and I swear I, an extremely NON spiritual person, was UPLIFTED!! Made it seem as though all thing were possible. Find it and give it a listen!!!! I got it from my local library.

  3. “The president believes Congress has a role to play in the Iran negotiations. And that role is to roll over.”

    Can I have a roll with that?

  4. So as the story goes, we have this lion standing over a fresh kill. Up saunters Kerry to negotiate over who should get to eat first. End of story, end of Kerry.

  5. In the case of the Obama administration, the complete quote is probably “roll over and take it”, and is meant in the prison sense of the phrase.

    Interesting how the Democrats in the House and Senate don’t have a lot of probems with Presidential usurpation of Congressional power, since it’s their power too. Puttin’ a LOT of faith in that whole “permanant Democrat majority” thing, aren’t they? And here I didn’t think they BELIEVED in faith…

    Although there ARE signs they are coming around, a little;

    This is wayyy off topic, but I thought this would be an intresting read for everyone about how unhinged our public schools have become in the name of PC…

    • The Dems have several years of playing catch up.
      Schools: I mention discipline quite a bit, and as I read by your article, Dicipline is now out the window.

  6. Reminded me of the song “Roll Me Over” –

    We’ve tried it once or twice
    And found it rather nice

    Chorus:
    Roll me over lay me down and do it again
    Roll me over in the clover, roll me over lay me down and do it again ..
