How Much Porn Do You Need to Watch at Work to Get Fired?

In the private sector, not much. But at the EPA, it seems you can fight pollution while polluting your desktop.

CBS – yes CBS!! – did a great report today on how hard it is to fire government workers, even if they spend years surfing the web for pornography.

Under President Obama, of course, the federal workforce has grown a full ten percent, by about 158,000 employees. His latest budget calls for hiring another 34,000.

That’s a lot of porn.

  1. I’m not a fan, nor an expert of porn, but can we assume that the porn addicts are men? And can we assume that as they watch the porn they might become, uh, inspired?
If so, then what do they do… no.wait, don’t tell me.

  2. A 12/13 young man gets knocked off of Facebook. It was mentioned on a different thread, that their is an age limit. Fine let him hand out flyers. At the same time I read about this brave young man. I am reminded of this foolishness of employees having a free reign.

  3. My company just fired an employee for looking at porn on the company (govt) computer. Of course, the process takes a lot longer than in the private sector.
My issue is the guy was A) Stupid enough to do it, even though our new employee orientation specifically states no pornography. B) He was in full view of one of the many cameras placed in all our departments. Porn watching is bad enough, but to be stupid enough to do it while observed is the proverbial icing on the cake.

  4. I work in HR and they just blocked everybody from everything non work related on the company Wifi. Pretty simple, STUPID!
