  1. Good morning everyone. I made a Fresh pot of coffee, on the last site. I will make another for this site as well. I hope everyone who is planning a barbacue, etc. for the game with friends, relatives, self have a good time watching the game.

  2. Well, it has come to my attention that there is an outbreak of weasels in the California/Arizona area.
Now I live in southern Ohio, not far from Kentucky and West Virginia, and with a few phone calls I can come up with plenty of redneck good ‘ol boys and gals that can fix that problem for you.
We will come out there and take them weasels out no charge.
This time of year we like target practice and those varmints will multiply like rabbits if you don’t eradicate them.

    Wait,….what’s that,…..measles ?
    Oh hell,….nevermind.

    • :) I mentioned the other day, that you can have your blood tested to see if your measle vacination is still up to par. If not you can get another vacination. As far as the weasels, never came across one down here, but could give advise on an alligator.

    • Unbelieveable – a disease almost eradicated in the US is now a scourge traveling across the country. Measles are dangerous, it’s not just some spots on the skin.

We don’t have any weasels running amok among the flora here, but we have our share sitting in the Capital buildings. I don’t think we’re allowed to , um, take them out, but the offer is recieved gratefully.

      • The issue and reminder that all those people came in without having the time or recourses to check their health. They were sent though out America ASAP. I read this past week the that the travel for them was worked on earlier in the year. This is unfair to the people who maybe at risk of getting them again, even though they were vacinated a long time ago.

      • Heard on One America News this morning the the authorities now believe this latest outbreak of measles came from outside the U.S. Most probably, THEY say, from an American returning from overseas, or MAYBE a foreign “tourist”. Intimation being, of course, that it couldn’t POSSIBLY have come from any person here illegally. Oops, sorry! I meant “Dreamer”!!

    • AFVet I have had trouble with my computer. This past week have had the hardest time signing on to votingamerican and samiam. That goes for caldwellcorner as well.

    • Brown, Boxer, Feinstein, Villaraigosa, Newsome, Harris, Padilla, Yee, Chiang, Jones. California’s Statewide elected officials or a wide variety of weasels? I Report, you decide!!

      • Oh, sorry. The weasel genus “Villaraigosa” is not YET an Statewide elected official. But he will be! I sit here on a stunningly beautiful day in Califrnia. Brilliiant blue sky. Temp currently 67, forecast of 77. We have Sandy Beaches, Snowy mountains. Lakes, rivers, deserts and many more natural wonders. Why do we have to have Liberals too???? AAARRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Tomorrow’s Groundhog Day, isn’t it?

Not to be Ebeneezer Scrooge or anything, but SHOOT THE DAMN GROUNDHOG! This winter sucks!

And everyone wants to know…will February march? No, but April may.

  4. My choice for the 2016 GOP is a Walker-Fiorina ticket. Walker is a winner and has a fresh face. As Keith had wrote earlier Florina can do a better job than a man when going after Hillary. I assume it will be Hillary. Who else do the Democrats have? Florina has business experience which is a big plus.

    • Walker’s been through the fire with the Dems several times, so he’s vetted and can handle it. As for Fiorina, there are some issues with her tenure at Hewlett-Packard that the Dems will no doubt pounce on, and the MSM will eat it up. We all know how they treated Palin…there’s an extra-big bullseye on Republican women.

      • Love Scott Walker. Also think Walker/Carson would be good. There are no skeletons in Carson’s closet. He might be able to make some rational sense out of health care otherwise known as health insurance/single payer system.

  5. The sight of vast graves opening and the undead clawing out should unnerve us all. But we haven’t even noticed. As more blood flows than any horror film offers, it’s brought the hope of eternal life to bygone empires we all thought dead and buried.
Blinded by the flash of headline events, we fail to see the strategic arcs of our era: the agonized collapse of Europe’s empires-climaxing in the Soviet Union’s demise- and now, amid the chaos and fanaticism, the belief on the part of once-mighty powers that they can rebuild fallen empires.
History is vengeful toward the ignorant. And we’re historically illiterate.
A Turkish attempt to establish a non Ottoman Empire failed (none of their neighbors wanted the Turks back), but three other imperia have gotten at least one foot out of the grave: the Persian Empire, the Arab Caliphate and the Russian Empire. Not one means us well.

  6. My husband and I just spent the day at the Yorktown Battlefield in Virginia, the site of Cornwallis’s surrender, effecting ending the American Revolution.

To say it was humbling is just not enough. And we owe a debt of gratitude to the French for their aid in helping the Patriots win the war.

How I wish 0 was a true American. He just would not or could not understand.

  7. Just received a forwarded e-mail from one of my loyal band of Usual Suspects. It’s kinda long but if, as my friend said, if true, YAY Canadians!!! Here’s the text!!

A Canadian female liberal wrote a lot of letters to the Canadian government, complaining about the treatment of captive insurgents (terrorists) being held in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities. She demanded a response to her letter.

She received back the following reply:

    National Defense Headquarters
M Gen George R. Pearkes Bldg., 15 NT
    101 Colonel By Drive
    Ottawa , ON K1A 0K2, Canada

    Dear Concerned Citizen,

Thank you for your recent letter expressing your profound concern of treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists captured by Canadian Forces, who were subsequently transferred to the Afghanistan Government and are currently being held by Afghan officials in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities

Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinions were heard loud and clear here in Ottawa. You will be pleased to learn, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself, we are creating a new department here at the Department of National Defense, to be called ‘Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers’ program, or L.A.R.K. for short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided, on a trial basis, to divert several terrorists and place them in homes of concerned citizens such as yourself, around the country, under those citizens personal care. Your personal detainee has been selected and is scheduled for transportation under heavily armed guard to your residence in Toronto next Monday.

Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud is your detainee, and is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint. You will be pleased to know that we will conduct weekly
inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with your recommendations.

Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his ‘attitudinal problem’ will help him overcome those character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand that you plan to offer counselling and home schooling, however, we strongly recommend that you hire some assistant caretakers.

Please advise any Jewish friends, neighbours or relatives about your house guest, as he might get agitated or even violent, but we are sure you can reason with him. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless in your opinion, this might offend him. Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills either in your home or wherever you choose to take him while helping him adjust to life in our country.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters except sexually, since he views females as a form of property, thereby having no rights, including refusal of his sexual demands. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him.

You also should know that he has shown violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire. I’m sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka over time. Just remember that it is all part of respecting his culture and religious beliefs’ as described in your letter.

You take good care of Ahmed and remember that we will try to have a counsellor available to help you over any difficulties you encounter while Ahmed is adjusting to Canadian culture.

Thanks again for your concern. We truly appreciate it when folks like you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job and care for our fellow man. Good luck and God bless you.

    Cordially,

    Gordon O’Connor
    Minister of National Defense

    • Yay! Good one.
I had the same thoughts when one of our Libby city council ladies wanted to make exceptions for The OWS bunch who were camping on our streets. I figured if she cared so much she could open her house & lawn area to them. Butt, if spoken aloud I would be chose for an IRS audit, or my city water bill would jump to $10,000/month, or something.

        • Ummm, Lee. PLEASE don’t hold your breath!! That will happen on the very same day Obama tells the truth, for the first time since he pledged to “fundamentally transform America”!

    • Canada’s current Minister of National Defense is The Honourable Robert Nicholson. Gordon O’Connor held the position until 2007. I’m 99.9 percent sure this “letter” is a fake. Too bad!

  8. Two items:

February 1, 2002 – Daniel Pearl is remembered.

CALLING JOHN KERRY, BARRY 0 – COMMENTS? QUESTIONS? NEWS MEDIA COVERING THIS?
Christopher Cramer, an Elbit military subcontractor from the US died mysteriously in Saudi Arabia after texting terrified messages to friends that he thinks he is in immediate danger and to call the State Department.

Apparently not knowing he sent the messages, the Saudis claim he committed suicide. They also aren’t releasing his body after weeks of holding on to it.

    • I liked that very much. I enlisted in 1968. Although I was never spat upon, I felt the animosity toward my uniform (and thereby me) from some in this country.

On a lighter note, wonder what I’d get if i walked into a Starbucks and ordered a “Guillermo Grande”?
