As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Carly Manhandles Hillary

Carly Fiorina left blood on the floor Saturday during her remarks to Iowa conservatives at this weekend’s GOP presidential cattle call.

Like Hillary Clinton, I have traveled around the globe. Unlike her, I have accomplished something. You see, Mrs. Clinton, flying is not an accomplishment. It is an activity.

Not saying Fiorina would be the best candidate, or the worst. But there’s no question a woman can go after Mrs. Clinton in a way that a man can’t without risking looking like a bully.

Have a look.

  1. She was named one of the worst CEOs of all-time. Is that considered an accomplishment?

    19. Carly Fiorina
A consummate self-promoter, Fiorina was busy pontificating on the lecture circuit and posing for magazine covers while her company floundered. She paid herself handsome bonuses and perks while laying off thousands of employees to cut costs. The merger Fiorina orchestrated with Compaq in 2002 was widely seen as a failure. She was ousted in 2005.

THE STAT: HP stock lost half its value during Fiorina’s tenure.

    • I agree. I am still scratching my head over her out there touting conservatism. Heck, I’m as conservative as they come and if SHE were the definition of it I’d strongly have to consider becoming a liberal.
In my book she’s no different than Hillary. Taking credit where credit is not due, glossing over her own failures.
Only thing I see different at this point is at least Carly didn’t get four Americans killed.

      • @G.C – she can spout all the conservative phrases she wants, and she can trash any Dem she finds ‘trashable’, but no one outside California is going to vote for her – for anything.

There is no such thing as a California conservative – they are just right-leaning liberal Dems in many eyes.

    • But for a republican that actually counts as an “accomplishment” worthy of the Presidency. So does being a surgeon, the CEO of a pizza restaurant or a half term governor from a sparsely populated state. No wonder why every potential candidate they have is being beaten to a pulp by Hillary in all the 2016 national polls!

  2. Where’s our other Lady GOP rising stars ? Susanna Martinez and Nikki Halley ?

I like Carly and would have given her more credibility had she beat Barbara Boxer in California for the Senate.

    • Let’s see – Hillary is a Yale law graduate, twice named one of the most influential lawyers in the US, won two landslide elections to the US Senate, received more primary votes (18 million) that any other candidate of either party in the history of presidential primaries, served as Secretary of State and maintained a 60%+ approval rating for her performance in that job and has been named the Most Admired Woman in the US for 19 of the last 22 years per Gallup.

Meantime Carly was forced to step down as the CEO of HP after a disastrous tenure and was handily defeated by Barbara Boxer in her run for the US senate.

I guess Carly has her own definition of “accomplishments”

  3. KK, It’s foolish to argue w/ your last “a woman can go after Ms. Clinton” line because today it’s true but I can’t help but recall last night’s 60Minutes interview of a black police officer who asked (rhetorically) if only black policemen can police black people. It won’t be in my lifetime but, we have GOT to get beyond that.

    • It seems that those who claim the (White) police are biased against Black men are more hateful in their disgust at Black policemen who they think are traitors or worse. So, no, a Black policeman will not be forgiven or given a pass if he happens to be in a situation where he must arrest, or even shoot at a Black criminal.
No matter how much certain self-interest groups wish to be free of any policing, or to do as they wish, society demands that laws be obeyed, that certain events will result in harm from the appointed authorities, and no whining, complaining, or accusations will change that.
We are a nation of laws, and a law is nothing if it’s not enforced.

  4. I tend to agree with Keith.
Carly has been many things and it appears that she is unafraid of taking on one of the powerful women in the Country.
It’s about time that somebody took Hillary down more than a few notches,….how about a few feet.

    • Agree that Hillary needs to be hammered day in and day out on the difference between her talking points and her actual accomplishments, but Carly is the absolute worst one to do it.
The absolute failure that was her tenure at HP only opens the door for the media and the lemmings.
She can still do a lot of good for the conservative cause but not as a public face of the party. Between Boehner and McConnell the messaging is already beyond bad and like it or not, messaging is critical with the current state of media and politics.

      • If she wants to be a sacrificial lamb, so be it.
At least more of the dark history of the Clintons may be brought to the surface to many people that may then question if she should be POTUS.
She may be the wrong messenger, but she is a messenger.

  5. Evidently Scott Walker brought the house down in Iowa, along with Dr. Carson.
Yet, all we hear about is Christy, Bush, Romney from the GOP.
Watch out folks,….they’re going to do it to us again.
Taking the rug out from under true conservatives while funding RINOs and denying us a true choice at the polls.
I don’t send any money to the RNC, nor have I ever because they support people that I don’t trust.
Walker has proven his ability to defeat the libs and the unions in Wisconsin, one of the bluest states in the union.
So far,….that is an indication to me that he is the real deal.
Carson should be at the very least a cabinet member.

  6. Carly’s not a serious candidate for the GOP nom–that is to say, she isn’t gonna get it–so it doesn’t really matter what kind of CEO she was. but she can be very helpful reminding people how lame Hillary is. point isn’t what Carly has done, point is what Hillary has NOT done.
