  1. And not included in this edition of “The Obama Morning News” but:
I have never been a Duke fan and now, I certainly will never-ever-ever be a Duke fan.
I want to hear The Lord’s Prayer broadcast at 11am on Sunday.

    Go Wildcats.

  2. The inaction in Yemen. 9/10 o explained his strategy to defeat ISIS, that Yemen was an example of a place where the U.S. had successfully, pursued a counter terroriest stategy that combines air power with FRIENDLY local forces on the ground.
I think the little (friendly) word needs to be thown out of the next speech.
Four months later the stategy is on PAUSE and success in DOUBT.
Since Sept. the U.S. has conducted just 3 Drone strikes in Yemen, down from 19 last year, and 56 in 2012.
    UGH!

  3. Trying to not sound like a doomsday fanatic…butt, God help us. 0’s actions freeing Gitmo Islamic terrorists, and not acknowledging that all these ‘workplace’ or ‘terror acts’ are because of Islamic terrorists, and getting away with this PC bs, is a very frightening picture for our USA.

  4. If Obama forces all employers to pay sick leave, the businesses not currently offering it will surely decrease wages to compensate. He’s not content to leave things well enough alone, he has to stir chaos in every segment of our lives.

    • Yep! From the article:

“The National Federation of Independent Business, which represents small businesses, opposes the president’s effort.

Spokesman Jack Mozloom said that, while big corporations can shuffle employees around to fill gaps when a colleague is out sick, the thousands of businesses his association represents — most with fewer than 25 employees — do not have the same flexibility.

Mandated paid leave, he said, would force harmful cuts to employees, including in pay and benefits, and reduced hiring.

“It ripples through the economy in ways the advocates and the president, I think, sometimes don’t see,” Mozloom said.

    • Or in my wife’s case… She works for a great company that doesn’t give “sick leave” or “vacation days” for that matter.

They give “personal days”. About 24 per year to be exact. Use ’em for what you want.

She is rarely sick and I can’t recall the last time that she has missed a day of work due to sickness.

If this plan proceeds, it is entirely conceivable that her employer will simply take 7 of the “personal days” relabel them “sick days” and at the end of the year when she hasn’t used them, take them away.

Thank you Mr. Obama for the 33% reduction in that perk.

  5. Conan , Fallon, Kimmel — no longer comics. The evil butt of their “jokes” always Republicans. All this creepy mind MSM messaging — comics, shows (the Good Wife is an excellent example of creepiness) — commercials, pbs ads, so tedious.

    • Yes and yes…we are subject to “brainwashing” or “thought control” or whatever you want to call it.
I am so thankful others are beginning to realize this!
Pay attention to the spoken words…they are used to influence our thoughts and our behaviors.

      • In a small Slovak village and throughout the former USSR and its satellites — in the most remote of places — there remains telephone pole like structures with loud speakers affixed to them. The on and off controls totally by the state.

We still have on and off buttons and some choices but not many and certainly not enough.

  6. OT . At the end of a long blog comment elsewhere I saw this.

What do borders mean if not to keep out those who would conquer you if you’re stupid enough to allow them in?

    Works for me.
