As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Biden Has Other, Very Important Work To Do

Okay, I get it. Vice President Biden failed to attend the march in Paris because he has very important things to do. A man like Biden cannot possibly have time to get his ass over to Paris on a moment’s notice.

This from the White House today:

Vice President Biden will host the first ever Caribbean Energy Security Summit in Washington, DC on January 26, 2015.  The Vice President looks forward to welcoming Caribbean leaders and representatives of the international community to promote a cleaner and more sustainable energy future in the Caribbean through improved energy governance, greater access to finance, and donor coordination.

I mean, we’re talking cleaner and sustainable energy in the Caribbean, okay? I don’t know what you think the priorities of the United States government should be, but this is first on my list.

Hopefully, Cuba will be involved too. Because I know the Castros are not just  becoming friendly, they’re becoming environmentally friendly as well. Not to mention getting “access to finance.”

Besides, Biden vacations in Virgin Islands. A dirty Caribbean could ruin the snorkeling.

  1. I live in the VI for several years in the 70-80’s. It was as amazing then as now. TONS of Fed cash for studies that went…for studies. No results. Perhaps I am behind the times? /snark. Political cash is political cash. And MOST, on a FedLevel comes from taxpayers. If only they knew. So sad the Admin WOULDN’T ALLOW representation. JeSuisCharlie!

  2. FCMABBHO will be in India on 1/26 for India’s Republic Day. As I posted earlier today, one reason Kerry was in India today to prepare the way for FCMABBHO’s trip.

The other reason was to participate in a trade summit thingy but, not just any kind of trade but, SUSTAINABLE trade. At the heart of it all is the fight against the dreaded *cue scary music* climate change.
