As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

  1. Good morning.

Off to take my daughter to the doctor. Trying to get all of her health issues resolved before Obamacare puts our doctor out of business.

    • I already had one doctor get out of the business. She was already sanctioned because she spent too much time with patients and didn’t write enough prescriptions.

      • During the run up to Obamacare I called my congress-dummy’s office and when someone finally answered the phone I asked: “why isnt my congreeman (Rep.Careny D of Delaware) using Obamacare if it is so wonderful?”
They read off some propaganda talking points but never answered my question and hung up on me.

  2. Trump (on Fox this morning) said Deblas. should explain his actions. He should apologize. His campaign was tough on cops to begin with. As far as resigning, that it is up to him. There is a wonderful police force in N.Y.

    • I’ve been puzzling over the two Sony attacks. The first one released the e-mails. The second one was a DOS attack that shut down PlayStation Network over Christmas, along with Microsoft’s Xbox. The Lizard Squad said the attack on PSN was to show how bad Sony’s (and Xbox’s) security is. Did they get the idea from the first attack which showed that Sony kept passwords out in the open? Will Sony finally get a freakin’ clue and ratchet up security?

    • As of now, I’m calling the whole hacking thing and the threats an elaborate hoax constructed to save a “B” movie from the $5 movie bin at Wallyworld.
What – the N.Koreans did it, China did it, Russia did it, the FBI is lying? Experts-scmecksperts.
The Preezy says ‘show the movie’ because he knows there’s not a credible threat from some foreign power.
      IMO, of course.

        • The disgruntled ex-employee seeking revenge – ?
          Hackers having fun – ?
Hackers showing how much damage they can do – ?
Hackers getting ready to extort from anyone – ?
          Who knows.

          • At first, Lizard Squad said they took down the gaming sites “for the lulz”. Then, they said they did it to show the companies’ vulnerabilities. Lastly, they extorted an unknown amount from the two companies.

          • I just remembered something my son said the other night. He said that Lizard Squad had insulted the dickens out of Anonymous, and that the latter has declared war on the former.

I know which group I’d put my money on.

  3. His Holiness, Pope Francis thinks global warming is a world issue and should be addressed by the UN or something.
Good grief, what happened to the Catholic church that they now get involved in political controversies and iffy science?

His Holiness should be reminded that his purview is sin and redemption, not the emmisions set out by coal furnaces and petrol-driven vehicles.
He might also be reminded to demand the UN do everything they can to protect Christians living in the MiddleEast if he’s going to get involved in anything.
(I’m going to have to go to Confession over this rant)

  4. Natalie Heimel and her fiancé, Edward Mallue Jr., a pair of captains in the Army, were walking from their wedding rehearsal on Saturday at the 16th tee box at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Hawaii when they were informed they’d have to move their wedding, scheduled for the next day.

President Barack Obama wanted to play through. SNIP

  5. As if the American people needed more evidence that the Obama administration’s Justice Department was out of control after six years of non-stop scandals, it was recently revealed that the DOJ was funding a “community” organization linked to a controversial rap music video glorifying the murder of New York City police officers. SNIP

In addition to DOJ funding offered under a program ironically named after a murdered NYPD officer, the organization has also received upwards of $40 million from city taxpayers just in the last two years. SNIPE

  6. Security chiefs have taken the dramatic step of withdrawing Royal Guards from their high profile posts outside palaces amid mounting fears of “lone W,” attacks.
The move to secure is in response to attacks such as the murder of Fusiler Lee Rigby and the killing of a sentry by lone G.man at the Canadian Parliment two months ago.

  7. Hmm, apparently getting murdered while sitting in a patrol car guarding the public and violence and destruction of property is healthy. Who knew?

President Barack Obama said he believes the issue of race relations is surfacing “in a way that probably is healthy.”

  8. Barack Obama is going to roll right over this Republican Congress. For all intents and purposes it will be a Democrat agenda. As if the elections never happened. We are on the fast track to one man one party rule.

    • I have stated this once before, What are these people in office telling their relatives?
If my dad was kissing up to someone like o. As a child and or as and adult, I would have said: Why Dad? How can you be apart of tearing apart this Country?

      • I prefer your view of course. I do not see McConnell and Boehner being dethroned in time for anything of significance to happen. Social justice, and other perversions of the legal system will continue, the rule of law will be weakened as will the separation of powers, amnesty is quite frankly full bore ahead, and Obamacare might be tweaked but nothing substantial. Schools and institutions will continue to charge left, unless parents and the community stands up, and on the foreign policy arena — the best we can hope for is that Iran is not given MFN, Cuba does not receive foreign aid, and the Syrian rebels do not cost us more in treasure and blood.

        • Both chambers hold elections in January for the leaders.
I will be keeping a close eye on the proceedings, not that I can do much about it, but we should all be watching.
Boehner is from Ohio, and McConnell is from Kentucky.
Both are ‘good ‘ol boys’ in the congress.

I would like to see both of them replaced.
We need fresh ideas and fresh faces to confront Obama.
Otherwise,…we are looking at another two years of the same collusion that we have seen before.

  9. Ready for this one?
o blames the media for his tanking approval ratings…
On his collapsed foreign policy approval ratings:
“One of the things I’ve learned over six years, and it doesn’t always suit the news cycle, is having some strategic patience. You’ll recall that three or four months ago, everybody in Washington was convinced that President Putin was a genius.”

  10. Update on President George H.W. Bush – he will hopefully be returning home tomorrow, after a full week in the hospital:

    http://www.njherald.com/story/27724041/spokesman-george-hw-bush-nearing-return-home

Spokesman: George H.W. Bush nearing return home
    Posted: Dec 29, 2014 4:17 PM EST Updated: Dec 29, 2014 4:18 PM EST

HOUSTON (AP) – A spokesman for George H.W. Bush says the former president’s breathing has “returned to normal” but he will remain in a hospital for at least another night pending approval from doctors for him to return to his Houston home.

Tuesday will mark one week since the 90-year-old Bush, the nation’s oldest living former president, was taken by ambulance to Houston’s Methodist Hospital to address shortness of breath. Family spokesman Jim McGrath has described the hospitalization as a precaution.

In a statement Monday, he said Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush wanted to “thank everyone for their good wishes and prayers.”

Two years ago, Bush spent nearly two months at the same hospital for treatment of a bronchitis-related cough and other issues. He also has a form of Parkinson’s disease.

  11. I saw over at AOS that there has been an oppo dump about Steve Scalise speaking at a David Duke event in 2002. Now I am no fan of Scalise’s since he is tight with the leadership and establishment.

Most likely the Republicans will rise to the bait and eat their own. What they will not do is speak up and denounce Al Sharpton — something this shiny object is no doubt meant to detract from.

At this point I don’t know if the Republicans are even educable.

    • Scalise is gonna pay the price for his disgusting suck-up to Duke in 2002.

Duke is one of the most evil fucks alive. A pox on him and anyone else who sucked up to him in the past two centuries. He’s a Holocaust Denier extraordinaire, and he is a welcome guest in Iran.

      Suck it, GOP.

      • Yes about Duke. About Scalise it was 2002 — he probably had a “staff” of one and might have spoken anywhere. I am not defending — Dems dug deep for this and struck gold.

Just once I would like someone in the Republican Party to stand up — describe the situation — apologize for the ignorance — and then go immediately back on point — Sharpton.

But that just ain’t goin’ happen — Dems win again.

          • A description of Scalise with which I agree. If Scalise gets bounced from leadership maybe we can get a real conservative in there.
            **********************

Boehner’s bitch who helped purge the House GOP of conservative committee members and chairs and insulated House GOP leadership from conservative criticism when he was head of the Republican Study Committee.

          • I’m still here. I’ll look around. Although truth be known I don’t understand Kwanza and it is kind of scary. Is it something the Reverend Al celebrates?

          • It’s a B.S. made-up holiday. Here’s my earlier comment:

In Kwanzaa news, I saw an article at American Thinker the other day and have to share it. But, first let’s recall the O’s Kwanzaa statement on Friday 12/26:

            http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/20141226_Obama_sends_prayers_best_wishes_on_Kwanzaa.html?id=286880201

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are sending their prayers and best wishes to those celebrating Kwanzaa.

The Obamas say in a statement that the Kwanzaa celebration highlights the rich heritage of African Americans. They say families come together on Kwanzaa to reflect on the past year’s blessing and look forward to the promises that lie ahead next year. The Obamas are vacationing in Hawaii.

They’re calling attention to Kwanzaa’s seven principles, which include creativity, self-determination, purpose and unity, responsibility, cooperative economics and faith.

The Obama say they remain committed to building a nation that provides opportunity for everyone. They say there’s much to be thankful for as families light the Kinara, a candle holder used to celebrate Kwanzaa.

The seven-day African-American holiday starts Friday.

And now, the American Thinker article:

            http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2014/12/kwanzaa__a_madeup_holiday_.html

            Kwanzaa — A Made-up Holiday

Did you know that “Kwanzaa,” that made-up holiday celebrated from December 26 through January 1, was invented by Ron N. Everett, known today as Dr. Maulana (Swahili for “master teacher”) Karenga? About Kwanzaa, Karenga said:

“People think it’s African. But it’s not. I wanted to give black people a holiday of their own. So I came up with Kwanzaa. I said it was African because you know black people in this country wouldn’t celebrate it if they knew it was American. Also, I put it around Christmas because I knew that’s when a lot of bloods [blacks] would be partying!”

Did you know that Karenga was a founder of “United Slaves”, a group that was quite similar in philosophy to the Black Panthers? The two groups had different tactics, but often competed for the same potential recruits. So an altercation was inevitable. On January 17, 1969, at a Black Student Union meeting at UCLA, Black Panther Alprentice “Bunchy” Carter was heard making derogatory comments about Karenga. Carter was shot to death. The Black Panthers swear it was preplanned.

Or that Karenga was convicted in 1971 for torturing two women? He pressed a hot soldering iron against their faces and put their fingers in a vise in an effort to get them to offer up some nonexistent “crystals” of poison. It seems that the paranoid Karenga thought he was being poisoned. Nice guy, this Kwanzaa founder.

Or that in his book The Quotable Karenga, Karenga wrote “The sevenfold path of blackness is think black, talk black, act black, create black, buy black, vote black, and live black”? Is this the source of “seven,” a number seen often in Kwanzaa? It certainly explains why he wanted a black holiday.

            (snip)

As William J. Bennett says, “Karenga has concocted some bits of lore, lingo, and mumbo-jumbo that are intended to make Kwanzaa look like something out of Africa instead of something from Los Angeles County, but his efforts have been feeble.”

            (snip)

  12. Obummer news – Monday, 12/29:

After skipping only Sunday, today was the fourth day out of five since Christmas Day that the O’s have shut down and taken over their new favorite beach at the Air Force base. Of course, Obummer can’t handle a full day with the wife and kids, so he ditched them again and went off to play golf with the Choom Gang again:

    http://news.yahoo.com/president-obamas-hawaii-vacation-day-10-184938846.html

President Obama’s Hawaii vacation: Day 10

KANEOHE BAY, Hawaii (AP) — How President Barack Obama spent the 10th day of his family’s holiday vacation in Hawaii on Monday:

    — BACK TO THE GYM: After taking the weekend off, Obama returned to the gym at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay on a cloudy morning. As the presidential motorcade returned to the family’s rental home in Kailua, a man standing on a street held two signs. The first read: “Happy Holidays President Obama, Mrs. Obama, Malia, Sasha, Bo & Sunny!” The second read: “All I want for Christmas is your autograph please.”

    — HIT THE BEACH: Later in the morning, the Obama family went to the beach with friends, the White House said. The beach at Bellows Air Force Station in Waimanalo has been the family’s preferred beach during this vacation. As the motorcade left Bellows, about 40 beachgoers waved and took cellphone videos.

ON THE GREEN: From the beach, the president split from his family for a round of golf at Mid-Pacific Country Club in Kailua. His golfing partners were the familiar trio of Bobby Titcomb, Greg Orme and Mike Ramos.

    • Btw, I’ve seen no mention of his Chicago pal Eric Whitaker during this vacation. He goes on every Hawaii and Martha’s Vineyard vacation, and is usually part of the Obummer golf group. Is he keeping his distance this time due to the recent scandal and court case? ( http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2014/12/09/obama-pal-whitaker-charges-racism-testimony/ )

Also, I think Moochelle’s brother is usually with them in Hawaii and I see no mention of him either. He just landed a gig covering college basketball for ESPN, so boo hoo, I guess he’s too busy for a change to take off to Hawaii with Mooch and Barry.

Plus, Sam Kass doesn’t appear to be with them on this vacation. He recently resigned and is off the payroll as of December 31st. But, I thought for sure he would take one last freebie Hawaii vacation on the taxpayers’ dime.

      • Keith’s follow-up article to the one linked in my last comment:

        http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2014/12/15/holder-rejects-whitaker-racism-charge/

In an uncomfortable turn of events, outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder, a close Obama friend, rejected a charge by Chicagoan Eric Whitaker, a close Obama friend, that a federal corruption case involving former Whitaker associates was tinged by racism.

        ==============

Could this explain Whitaker’s absence from the Hawaii vacation from what I think is the first year ever??

        • No, Obama could give a hoot about what people think. His kneejerk would be to parade Whitaker around — nothing Barack Obama likes better than stirring up the racism charge. Makes him feel at home.

          • Oh, yes, I don’t think Obummer cares about appearances. That’s not it. But, I was thinking more along the lines that maybe Whitaker’s ticked off that his buddy Obummer let Holder publicly slam him like that. I’d have to check, but I believe this is the very first out of seven Hawaiian vacations that Whitaker hasn’t joined them.

  13. Barack Obama declared the War in Afghanistan over today. Troops are still there.

He also declared the War in Iraq over. That didn’t work out too well.

When Barack Obama declares a war is over, it simply means he got bored, left and took “his” toys and men with them. Well, in this case, some of them he left behind to ……

Anybody know if those guys have bullets? Will they get breakfast?

    Asshat.

  14. Back to the Sony hacking story – I think it was Julie who posted about the Daily Beast story the other night, and them I linked to it. The article laid out a good case pointing to the fact that the hacker is a disgruntled employee or former employee:

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/12/24/no-north-korea-didn-t-hack-sony.html

    So, now Drudge’s top headline:

    SONY HACK WAS ‘LAID-OFF STAFF’

    http://www.politico.com/story/2014/12/fbi-briefed-on-alternate-sony-hack-theory-113866.html

FBI briefed on alternate Sony hack theory

FBI agents investigating the Sony Pictures hack were briefed Monday by a security firm that says its research points to laid-off Sony staff, not North Korea, as the perpetrator — another example of the continuing whodunit blame game around the devastating attack.

Even the unprecedented decision to release details of an ongoing FBI investigation and President Barack Obama publicly blaming the hermit authoritarian regime hasn’t quieted a chorus of well-qualified skeptics who say the evidence just doesn’t add up.

Researchers from the cyber intelligence company Norse have said their own investigation into the data on the Sony attack doesn’t point to North Korea at all and instead indicates some combination of a disgruntled employee and hackers for piracy groups is at fault.

The FBI says it is standing by its conclusions, but the security community says they’ve been open and receptive to help from the private sector throughout the Sony investigation.

Norse, one of the world’s leading cyber intelligence firms, has been researching the hack since it was made public just before Thanksgiving.

Norse’s senior vice president of market development said that just the quickness of the FBI’s conclusion that North Korea was responsible was a red flag.

“When the FBI made the announcement so soon after the initial hack was unveiled, everyone in the [cyber] intelligence community kind of raised their eyebrows at it, because it’s really hard to pin this on anyone within days of the attack,” Kurt Stammberger said in an interview as his company briefed FBI investigators Monday afternoon.

    (snip)

  15. Not sure if this story is correct, but apparently a couple of Army Captains on leave in HI wanted to get married on the 16th hole of the course that Barry has taken over.

The Barry team has refused the couple from interfering with the normal golf rounds, as if they own the course.
