Psaki: Two Hypocrisies in One!

Nice.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki came armed to a briefing this week with a most pathetic dodge to a question that must have been expected about Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak having his charges dropped. More opacity from the openness administration.

Meanwhile, as one reporter notes, the democratically elected leader, Mohamed Morsi, rots in jail.

Now, I’m certainly not advocating releasing Morsi, a man who would immediately go to work stirring Islamist revolution. What I will note is the double hypocrisy this response reveals about the Obama administration.

It runs around proclaiming itself transparent, and is nothing of the sort. And it lectures other countries on democracy and freedom, while refusing to back up its words with even the slightest condemnation of Mubarak’s get-out-of-jail-free card.

Even Psaki, as you’ll hear, was ashamed of the response.

  1. Embarrassed? No. Referring to others, and nothing further on this case.

Odd that at State they are now talking about having faith in the justice system and throughout America the justice system is being torn to shreds by Obama and Holder and their foot soldiers.

Surely in this age of automation there are robots or old time blow up dolls who can do as good a job if not better than Psaki and the blonde bimbo.

Typical Obama –stir up crap in the Middle East and walk away with nary a look back.

  2. To the Journalist. Keep doing what you did during this briefing!!!!
    Nothing!
That is the word of the day!
At least she did not slam that book!
She will be sent to refreshing school, to be strong as a rock, the next time a journalist ask her a question, than a follow up question. As well be strong as a rock when the next journalist continues with questions of the one that she just blew off answering.
That is what I have been suggesting for months.

  3. Don’t be so hard on ol’ Jen.

It’ just the latest installment of The Amateur Hour at the Obama/Kerry State Department.

Now its Valley Girl Marie Harf’s turn to take the mic.
