  1. The schedule is very light this week:

Schedule for the Week of November 3, 2014

On Monday, the President will meet with Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen to discuss the long-term outlook for the American economy and the global recovery.

On Tuesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

In the evening, as part of the “In Performance at the White House” series and the Joining Forces initiative, the President and First Lady will invite music legends, members of the U.S. military, military veterans, and their families to the White House for a celebration of the men and women who serve the United States. The program will be held on the South Lawn.

On Sunday, the President will travel to Beijing, China.

  2. Article about Obummer’s campaign appearances this weekend – on Saturday in CT, a very small crowd of about 1,900 when in the 2010 midterms he got about 9,000 to show up there. And, on Sunday in Philly, about 5,500. As I posted in the previous thread, Ed Henry on Fox noted that they put a black curtain closing off half of the stadium at Temple U on so it wouldn’t look so empty on camera:

    http://news.yahoo.com/obama-push-dems-conn-pa-gov-races-102946011–politics.html

    Excerpt (such lies by Obummer):

Seeking to mobilize his election coalition of young people, African-Americans, women and Latinos, Obama on Sunday made a last-minute push in Connecticut seeking to save Democratic Gov. Dannel Malloy from defeat in a neck-and-neck contest two days before the election.

Obama also made a case at the Bridgeport rally that many Americans are better off today than when he came into office and they shouldn’t let critics deter them from voting.

“Despite all the cynicism, America is making progress,” Obama told the crowd of about 1,900. “Despite unyielding opposition, there are workers who have jobs today that didn’t have it before. There are families who have health insurance today that didn’t have it before. There are kids going to college today that didn’t have the opportunity to go to college before. There are troops in Afghanistan now here with their families because of your vote.”

Obama relied on the old rallying cries of hope, of being of fired up and ready to go, that branded his 2008 and 2012 contests. By his own wistful account, Sunday’s was probably his last ramble down the campaign trail for an election affecting his presidency.

But on the weekend it was clear some things had changed. When Obama campaigned for Malloy in the closing days of the 2010 campaign, he filled Bridgeport’s Arena at Harbor Yard with 9,000, nearly five times more than his crowd on Sunday.

He closed out the day in Philadelphia, rallying votes for businessman Tom Wolf, the Democrat who appears to have the edge over GOP Gov. Tom Corbett, at a rally that drew about 5,500.

“There’s almost no economic measure where we’re not doing better,” he told that crowd. But “we’ve got so much more work to do.” Obama swiped at Corbett as a governor who has presided over lagging job growth, won’t stand up for pay equity for women and opposes an increase in the minimum wage. “We need leaders who understand the 21st century,” he said.

Obama switched planes in Philadelphia for his return trip to Washington because of a mechanical problem with a flap in his earlier aircraft, the White House said. The White House described the problem as minor.

Obama’s plane arrived back near Washington after 9 p.m.

In Connecticut, Malloy and Foley are in a rematch of the 2010 race that Malloy narrowly won.

Demonstrators, right, hold up signs as they interrupt President Barack Obama’s, left, speech dur …

Obama’s Bridgeport speech was interrupted at least four times by protesters seeking changes to the nation’s immigration laws.

“I am sympathetic to those who are concerned about immigration,” Obama said. “It’s the other party that’s blocked it. Unfortunately, folks get frustrated and they want to yell at everybody.”

    • Philly: 5,500 showed up? Hard to believe, it was really horribly chilly, windy and down right cold here too. The local ABC news channel barely covered it – only a quick mention as the plane was on the tarmac. The Liacouras Center at Temple U. holds 10,000 seats. Had to chuckle about the black curtain hiding the “empty chair/s” remembering back to the Clint Eastwood meme.

    • Obama switched planes in Philadelphia for his return trip to Washington because of a mechanical problem with a flap in his earlier aircraft, the

I presume this is the flap on the aircraft, not the humorous method of descent down the plane steps.

    • Julie, I read that too. Agree, he sounds like a silly child. I am sure he enjoys these gatherings with likeminded , rich and generous people who will give him applauds and money whatever plattitudes he delivers. Like an untalented little boy plodding on with “Für Elise” on the piano, surrounded by beaming uncles and aunts and grannies.
By the way, I read about your Serbian relatives. Interesting. Maybe you understand Russia better because of it ? I am also interested in your “wag the dog” comment. Would you like to explain ?

      • Did you mean that because I am half Serb, I tend to view the Russians as big brother? I don’t think so. I’m pretty thoroughly American unlike the Mexicans who come here but whose loyalties stay behind with Mexico. I do admire Putin for being a good leader in his people’s eyes, and of all western leaders, he is the one who will take a stand against radical Islam and will gain popularity outside of his country for it.

Wag the dog war implies that it was a distraction from President Clinton’s other woes, namely, his moral issues. The wars in Bosnia and Kosovo are two examples of conflicts which had nothing to do with American national interest or security and which the US should have stayed out of. Instead they started the whole US as the world’s policeman idea. Just my own opinion.

          • Julie, I think I agree with you all the way here. I too find Russia an intriguing, fascinating country with a great culture. After so much blood sweat and tears they now have Putin as their leader and I think the provocations and sanctions have been very hurtful for Russia, Europe, peace and economy ( but not for Obama and his friends ).
I suspected that this was what you meant with your wag the dog comment and I agree with you here as well , one more of these conflicts that NATO should have stayed out of.

          • Interesting SL. The read I am getting on your take on America. We and NATO should stay out of Europe. Even when there is genocide occurring?

    • Julie, when I read that comment in the Politico article all I could think of was how much he sounds like Chauncey Gardner of the movie “Being There”!! He IS Chancey!!

  3. Wednesday should be high entertainment, as Obama will no doubt blame everyone but himself for the ass-kicking that will be administered by the Republicans.

You don’t really think that he’ll get the message that Americans are overwhelmingly rejecting his policies and so-called leadership, do you?

  4. Am I the only one waiting for Obama to order the Marines to detain Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi for going AWOL?

We certainly live in a Dark Mirror Universe these days. All I can figure out is Obama must have watched the episode of Seinfeld where George did the complete opposite of the decision he normally would make and it turned out his luck changed, LOL. Unfortunately, Obama did not have the same results.

  5. I was just listening to the podcast of Mark Levin’s show from last Friday. In the first half hour, he read from this article:

Obama’s triple punch hits America in the gut after midterms

    By Ernest Istook – – Monday, October 20, 2014

No matter who wins or loses on Election Day, President Obama is ready with a big new push of his radical agenda the very next day. It includes a triple punch on immigration amnesty, higher health insurance costs and putting thousands of convicts back on the streets early.

Mr. Obama says his policies are on the ballot but there’s nothing democratic about his agenda. All of these are executive actions that would require heroic efforts by Congress to reverse. Every candidate and incumbent should reveal how they’ll fight against Mr. Obama’s triple whammy that will hit America in the gut between Nov. 5th and the end of this year.

The only thing holding Mr. Obama back has been his desire to avoid backlash at the polls against his fellow Democrats. So he has used his typical tactics of deception and propaganda, plus friendly media, to suppress public awareness.

    ======

It’s a good read. Well, a nightmare, really. From immigration, to Obamacare, to massive prison releases.

It gets worse. After that, Mark read from this article from last week:

    http://nypost.com/2014/10/26/obamas-plans-for-a-secret-radical-agenda-after-the-elections/

The article lays it all out: immigration, nominations, war on terror, environment, oil, Obamacare, Iranian nukes, and housing. Among the parts read by Mark on his show:

    Environment
The Environmental Protection Agency is expected to release new power-plant restrictions that will cost the industry some $366 billion, but the onerous rules won’t be finalized until later this year.

This looks to be just the beginning of more regulations and fines Obama will pursue without congressional approval to pursue his environmental visions.

    Also:

    Iranian nukes
Obama is expected to hand even more concessions to Iran in pursuit of a nuclear deal — but not until after Election Day. As part of the pact, set for Nov. 24, Obama is reportedly prepared to suspend economic sanctions against Tehran and allow it to triple the number of centrifuges in operation — an outrageous deal no Democrat would want to defend in televised debates.

And, perhaps worst of all, this issue which we’ve read about and discussed before – the final step in the fundamental transformation of America is coming in December:

    Housing
After a delay, the administration’s final “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” regulation is now expected to be announced in December. Originally scheduled for finalization in October, the new Housing and Urban Development Department rules will force all cities and suburbs to accept subsidized housing in the name of racial diversity, superceding all local zoning ordinances.

The Orwellian-sounding regulation would force some 1,200 municipalities to redraw zoning maps to racially diversify suburban neighborhoods.

Under the scheme, HUD plans to map every US neighborhood by race and publish “geospatial data” pinpointing racial imbalances. Areas deemed overly segregated will be forced to change their zoning laws to allow construction of subsidized and other affordable housing to bring more low-income minorities into “white suburbs.” HUD’s maps will be used to select affordable housing sites.

It’s part of the administration’s ambitious agenda to eliminate “racial segregation,” ZIP code by ZIP code, block by block, through the systematic dismantling of allegedly “exclusionary” building ordinances. In effect, federal bureaucrats will have the power to rezone your neighborhood.

Of course, Obama and Democrats are loath to inject this decidedly radical issue into the elections, so they’ll keep it out of the headlines until after voters go to the polls.

I totally agree with Mark’s conclusion that Obummer is violating the Constitution as he continues to fundamentally transform the nation that he despises, that he very obviously hates.

Mark added one more thing that he thinks Obummer is planning to do right after the election. They’re going to rush through federal judgeship as fast as they possibly can while it only takes a majority of the Senate to do it. They’re piled up waiting to be pushed through, but they haven’t told us that yet, these radicals who despise the rule of law and the Constitution.

Ugh, Mark says we’ve already been fundamentally transformed, we’re already past the tipping point, we’re already lost many aspects of our republic, and they’re trying to seal this as our fate (in the next two years).

How depressing. No matter the outcome of the midterm elections, Obummer will spend the next two years destroying this country and no one is willing to even try to stop him.

    • That HUD thing was announced a while back. I have been waiting for it and occasionally commenting on it. Why do you think the LaRaza commie Castro twin is now Secretary of HUD.

This Administration is sick with people who want to undermine the United States.

    • If people get behind Jeff Sessions on Amnesty and illegal immigration that would be a start. But I suspect a big fail on his from the Republicans.

Every corporate entity in the US — from a lawn service of two — to Monsanto should be scrutinized for E-verify. And for sure every member if the COC. Fines and penalties should be severe. Workers should be deported.

    • Areas deemed overly segregated will be forced to change their zoning laws to allow construction of subsidized and other affordable housing to bring more low-income minorities into “white suburbs.” HUD’s maps will be used to select affordable housing sites. SNIP

What if there is no room to build that HUD housing? Will the administration yet again illegally extend its reach to condemn houses in order to free up room?

  6. This is way OT. But it’s late and it made me laugh. It is a “description” of the evolution of Gov. Jerry Brown. I ‘borrowed it” verbatim from a partial comment on another blog.

    ****************
There was a lot to admire about the Pontiac-driving, apartment-living, Linda Ronstadt-boinking, Jerry Brown 1.0 — but the clapped-out, dredged from the drunk-tank, Governor-to-Oakland-Mayor-hack, living off proggy fumes, Jerry Brown 6.66 is the kiss-of-death for any political question.

    • Grace, thanks for the interesting link you gave me earlier. I left Keiths site so I didn´t see it until this morning. Cameron is desperate, he will say anything to stop the Ukip-party. And Frau Merkel, she will do anything to defend the EU. I am a bit disappointed in her nowadays. I made the grave mistake many years ago to vote for Swedish membership in the EU but now I am changing my mind about the whole thing. The EU is transforming and I don´t want a federation, a United States of Europe.
Well, right now we have more acutely interesting issues at hand, the upcoming US election. I read the Politico article on Drudge with great joy. Mr Obamas “bully pulpet is gone, maybe forever”. Happy smile over here.

      • Glad you enjoyed the link. Fingers crossed for here. Maybe if we can get something done over here it will signal change in Europe as well. From my perspective I was never a supporter of the EU, but if and when change comes to Europe to deal with it I hope that it is peaceful and positive.

        Merkel — disappointed as well.

  7. Oh, oh, judging from that crushing work schedule it appears that Dictator Obama is once again making one of his vaunted pivots to the economy. In anticipation of possible adverse election results, Dictator Obolaobama is, no doubt, plotting to further destroy the economy as punishment to all the ignorant voters who will have dared to have openly defied his Imperial Majesty. Nothing more scary than a malignant communist, narcissist hell bent on revenge.

  8. When I originally commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox
and now every time a comment is added I recieve four emails with the exact same comment.

Is there an easy method you can remove me from that service?
    Thanks a lot!
