      • Moderation is a mystery. I’ve only ever had one comment go to moderation. The site has lots of other quirks, though. I would much prefer Disqus – at least you can follow the thread, instead of having Replies showing up who knows where. A “like” function would be great too. Also a mosquito zapper to get rid of annoying trolls who flit in and out!

    • If Obama is this “busy” can you imagine how “busy” the “WH press corps” must be covering this ‘schedule’…and submitting pre-approved ‘questions’ to the creep Josh Earnest.

  1. Campaigning all week, including next Saturday and Sunday (no golf? boo hoo):

    • LOL, I posted that in the previous thread but I don’t think many saw it because it was in moderation for a long time. Thanks for re-posting it, Mandy. I thought it was interesting to take a look at the tally for fundraisers and campaign rallies to date for Obummer, Biden, and Moochelle.

I also have a post in moderation on this thread. It’s the schedule for this week. He’s flying around fundraising all week, including next Saturday and Sunday.

    • Great post, great. As the President using tax payers dollars to fund his travel etc I should know what he is up to and saying. Its a simple disgrace to spend so much time on this money raising. Imagine you lost both legs in Iraq, are sat awaiting grafts and bone surgery and you see the President swanning round the country as if not a care or worry in the world. He must be held accountable for his allocation of effort and time, its that simple. Its also a very easy and consumable message and information bite to persuade “folks” what he is about

  3. “Meets with his Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Steering Committee”. Oh boy!!! The economy is SAVED!!!! Maybe these are the guys steering the buss everyone ELSE is getting thrown under???

  4. Its 2105 days since Pres Obama took office, has he spent that time as best he could? No matter what events happen or will happen during his office, he does control the single biggest variable/input into his term as President of the U.S.: What he does with his time! 202 times golfing is using my 30+ years of golf a fair estimate of 202 days of his office. Then there are vacation days, DNC fund raisers, working out, having sports teams over to meet him at the WH, having celebrities over to sing and entertain them at the WH, you can see where I’m going with this. I like numbers because they are devoid of emotion or opinion, they are what they are and not influenced by party allegiance. An old boss of mine told me to persuade or prove a fact, do it with facts not opinion. So 202 days golf is approx 10% of his days in office, add in the other stuff and you’ll soon get an arithmetic guide as to the single most important input into his office, what is he doing or not doing with his time. What he says in speeches is just that , what he says. Its what he does thats key and his time/focus/energy and enthusiasm is recorded in what he does with that time. A CEO or head of a family can be held by the same guide. IF a CEO says he wants to improve customer understanding and never meets a customer there is an issue between saying and doing. Just a thought to see if we can come up with a chart or illustration of what he has down with his time in one of the most important jobs in the world.

  5. Well, it looks like Obummer got to Cuomo and he caved.

Drudge headline most of Sunday (NY Time article)

OBAMA PRESSURES STATES TO REVERSE QUARANTINE ORDERS

    And, now this:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2808178/Cuomo-Ebola-quarantine-hard-enforce.html

Ebola quarantine U-turn as New York Governor now says medical workers showing no symptoms of the deadly virus can monitor themselves at home instead of hospital

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has backtracked on some of the strict guidelines he had previously outlined in the treatment of medical workers returning from West Africa, including a mandatory 21-day quarantine.

On Friday, the Governor and his counterpart in New Jersey, Chris Christie, ordered the new rules be enforced.

However, there has been sharp criticism after a nurse returning from Sierrra Leone was forcibly quarantined in a New Jersey hospital isolation unit, even though she had displayed no symptoms and had tested negative for Ebola.

Under the new New York guidelines, medical professionals who have had contact with Ebola patients can now be quarantined at home instead and receive twice-daily monitoring, if they have no symptoms.

Family members will be allowed to stay, and friends may also visit with the approval of health officials.

The state will also pay for any lost compensation, if they are not covered by a volunteer organization.

    • There was a similar article in the NYT which I put on the previous post — haven’t checked these comments yet, but surprisingly on the NYT people were opposed to the fed involvement in state’s decisions and also were pleased that Cuomo and Christie were on the same page. Cuomo bailed fast.

      • Yes, after I posted that I saw that the NY Times link on Drudge went to an updated version of the original article and now included the news if Cuomo’s flip flop.

On Fox & Friends this morning, they discussed it with Brett Baier. The nurse being quarantined in NJ has been complaining, and she has a lawyer now to challenge the quarantine. Cuomo caved after being strong armed by the White House. I doubt Christie will fold so easily.

        • They should have stated that better living arrangements would be given to hard working medical people who come back. Same time should have made it clear that she may have been unaware of the new rule of quarantine, but that was done for the benefit of everyone, including her and her loved ones and family members.

          • She won’t be “private” after. Did anyone see 60 Minutes–those nurses who took care of Duncan were aces, as nurses can be. I bet none of them wold have resented caution–they would have seen it as part of their job. Google the segment–it’s worth it..

          • I saw that Star. Unfortunately special snowflake will draw attention from the real concerns and working conditions of the nurses and other medical personnel here who are working on Ebola patients. One nurse, I believe it was on 60 Minutes — maybe not — had attended both Duncan and I think Nurse Phan (sp?) but at least two.

Those with experience will be overworked, overstressed and over exposed. Those people are perhaps the “heroes” rather than special snowflake as deBlasio annointed her. And if not heroes then at least admirable professionals.

      • The little weasel, Cuomo, also has a little problem with his interference in a corruption investigation. Haven’t kept up with the story…but sounds like Obama has the goods on him. Is that what Obama meant by ‘unintended consequences’?

        • If she was really a caring person, she would quarantine herself. Like Dr. Spencer, she may have the attitude that she was careful enough when treating Ebola victims. Mistakes get made all the time, especially when doing the same things repetitively, ie removing gloves and blood soaked garments. All it takes is one tiny mistake.

  6. Valerie Jarrett and others are doing the heavy-lifting. BO’s job is to raise money and ‘play the part.’ No doubt that is all the hard work he can handle.

  7. Meeting with Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Steering Committee? To steer more jobs away from The U.S.? It’s few and far between times, that I see anything Made in The USA.

  8. What in hell is an “Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Steering Committee? “Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Steering Committee”, Sounds like something out of the Soviet Union communist 5 year Economic plan, or the Great Leap Forward (Mao) propaganda playbook.

No doubt Dictator Obama will reluctantly attend, eyes totally bloodshot from the weekend, lounging back in a padded leather chair, feet propped up on the conference table, jonesin’ real bad for a butt, and bored out of his skull. No doubt once he figures he’s made enough of an appearance he will suddenly bolt upstairs to the White House living quarters for a taste of the “hair of the dog that bit him over the weekend.

I wonder who exactly sits on this “Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Steering Committee.” Sounds suspiciously like a crony capitalism cash exhorting session from fat cat manufacturers.

What a hopelessly corrupt government that now rules us with an iron fist.
