  1. This administration sure has a lot of nerve rambling about assisting Ukraine. What happened to Iraq and Afghanistan.
O was behind other Countries in response to what happened last week.
    Rice has no regrets……….
On and On…. This administration is_________________.
    Fill in the blank.

    • This is meant for Lee. Somehow the reply tab is not working for me. Anyway, how true that statement is: he has been an utter failure in foreign policy, and yet he wants to take on another country’s woes? He’s like an ordinary person who has botched up tasks and left them incomplete yet wants to start another project. We all know people like that.

      • I have never had to dwell on how, if, what, who, of any other man in his postion. In other words I was never afraid of what is next.
A lot of things he does or doesn’t do, I feel a child in middle school, knows at least the basics of our Constitution. They know the basics of right and wrong.
Please forgive this repeat comment: I am waiting for the hero. Come on: One person who knows the insides facts to come out with it all.

  2. srdem, reporting here from the back row disquised as a French-speaking correspondent wearing a rubber nose and a small mustache.
The briefing is scheduled to start at 1:15 and is now 15 minutes late as are all Vichy meetings..so French.

First question; the Ukraine. We support the new Parliment, and note that working through the Uke constitution is the best way to proceed.
We stand ready to support the new government as they work their way though financial problems.
Will Russia intervene: Russia and the US have a “shared” interest in de-escalating violence. Violence in the streets should not be seen in Russia’s interest. Blah, blah. Free and fair democratic elections, ………….”our view is that it’s not an issue between the East and the West”. Wait…now “we” believe the Ukes have strong ties to the Russian culture. We “stand ready to assist the Ukraine”.
MrCarney relates that the Pres, Sec of State, Russian ambassador have had “conversations” with Russian officials offering our opinion on what should happen in the Ukraine, but no indication of the Russian position there.
We’re reading to help financially. Billions for education?
We took the action to “ban visas for those we believe involved in the violence there”…who?not mentioned.
(who from the Ukraine would ask the US for a travel visa to here? their missing leader? no follow-up to that statement)
More talk on Russia’s involvement in Syria, and their propping up a dictator there.
Talk about “cold war”, does Putin think we’re in a “cold war”. Fact….more blah blah about the “people of the Ukraine” want something Russia objects. Back to Syria and “humanitarian relief”.

Throws a question of extradition of a criminal from Mexico is thrown on to the DOJ. Congrat to Mexico for capturing the leader of the drug cartel.
Question on “data breaches” and if the WH will give DEMS guidance on how to proceed for a new law. !
SecHagel talking about delivering information to reduce the size of our military. “First time” the DOD and Pentagon will address the reduction in funds and how it will affect our standing military.
“our view”….responsible approach to the Pres’s wishes about the Army. Now we are “transitioning” against a permenant war footing.

Back to the Ukraine (no one cares about Venezula? sic). More blah about what WE want in the Ukraine. WE support an “independent and unified Ukraine”.
Opps, now on to Venezula (sic). Claims false accusations toward the US aren’t helpful. None of our business, but we still think we should tell them how to move forward. sigh.
Military action in Syria? The UN is committed to take action to allow humanitarian relief if Syria keeps refusing access. “free flow”..as if.
Is there a “military option”? More blah to “take action”, not an answer.

Meeting with the governors; Keystone pipeline decision? Still in process with both “parties” ?? Input from other agencies. No timetable for the pipeline.
AZ legislation to allow refusal of business to gays. No official response.
Minimum wage; President trying to create a national economy with 10-10, no raise leaves hard-working Americans in poverty. A living wage…(are they kidding/who could live on 10-10 an hour)
Back to the Ukraine. Same blah, different words.
Anti-gay bills in other countries. Our statement disagrees strongly against the law in Uganda. They took a step backwards. Reflects poorly on human rights, and somehow will slow the response to the HIV crisis.
Repubs claim that money was wasted in the implementation of the ACA. We don’t have anything, except for the “millions and millions who are taking advantage to get affordable health care”. Blah, blah.
Keystone pipeling; what’s going on ….there’s no opposition to the pipeline..so??
Carney answers the minimum wage? totally non-answer to the legitimate question. Aguments wanting and demanding answer to the pipeline….Carney slipping away. He keeps saying “process”.
Repub Govs claim the Pres was dismissive of their concerns about the future of the National Guard…claim Pres said..”you wanted cuts in spending, well you got it”.
Back to anti-gay Uganda. The US will take a “review” of our relationship with the country.
How can the public be assured of protection if the military is reduced.
Answer; defense strategy will determine the answer. Are we going to be vulnerable? answer; go ask the DOD.
A WH plant asked a question that allowed MrC to make campaign speech on how the Pres is working hard to provide quality jobs in Chicago.
Question on wildfire suppession? More talking points with the addition of climate change being responsible.
(how can they sit there as journalists and feed planted questions to the press sec? that’s so dishonest)

    • srdem: BRAVO, top notch.
Obviously, there’s no clown shortage – they’re disguised in street clothing. I guess Syria is not a Syrious concern. Last I read 10% of the chemicals have been removed, I guess the MSM is snorting the other 90%.

      • Thanks, @Sadie
The official position now is to let the UN handle Syria and all the chemicals, the fighting, whatevers. Let’s face it, Russia has more friends at the UN than we do, and Russia rules there.
The WhiteHouse is relieved to hand over that hot-potato after they got their fingers burned with the redline foolishness.
MrCarney had a dozen escape lines ready for any question that concerned military action.
My guess; we’ll just let that inferno burn itself out in Syria and let Russia do the rebuilding.

    • There were two points of interest that should have been given some follow-up by the chair-sitters:
      1. The President, the Sec of State, and our Russian ambassador talked to the Russian president and other leaders there. We know what they said to the Russians, but no one asked what the response was to our calls, or the Russian position on the Ukraine turmoil.
      2. Certain visas were denied to one/some from the Ukraine and were denied by our State Dept.because of their involvement in the violence. Who asked for visas to travel to America from the Ukraine?
Both of these tidbits were offered by MrCarney and not in response to a question from the floor.
Everyone there completely ignored the curious comments and no one asked any questions.

(ot: I amaze myself that I can write as fast as they talk and make so few mistakes, I’m getting good at this..)

      • You’re beyond good, srdem – you’ve reached court stenographer status! I was dismayed that no one called Carney out on Susan Rice’s repeated lies on the Sunday yak and yank your chain chats.

The press is as feckless as Obama.

    • Srdem, I agree with Sadie. I hope just a few of the Journalists, take the time to read what you provided for us.
I mentioned on another Thread, I am waiting for a Hero, to come out with some inside info, I don’t care if it is Rep. or Dem. Rep.
I always respected the Journalist who went, goes in terrible situations, such as war zones, etc.
It would be nice if these Journalist stood up and asked the questions/topics that we discuss here.
However they maybe afraid, due to the journalist that was arrested, (forgive me, I can’t think of her name at the moment.)

    • Thanks. Great job.

Russia and the US have a “shared” interest in de-escalating violence. Violence in the streets should not be seen in Russia’s interest. Blah, blah. Obama green lights Putin to act as he will in Ukraine.

And as an aside, Chuck Hagel should hang in his in shame as a former member of the military as he stands by and watches this President strip America’s defense and purge its community.

    • More standing “O’s”, srdem!!!
Your valuable time could be shortened greatly if the briefing discontinued all Q & A’s on foreign policy. Since we have no foreign policy.
After his near-death experience with his red-lines in Syria, Mr. O has abdicated his position as leader of the Free World and has declared the U.S. is now officially subject to any and all threats from foreign factions.
Sec. Hagel has been instructed to follow in turn by reducing troop levels to those not seen since 1940.

BTW, loved the little French moustache!

  3. I am outraged. Not only does Obama deny vets access to memorials the government shutdown, now he not only reduces our forces in a challenging and dangerous time, but he hits the military in their pensions, their healthcare and their commissary.

We are not talking about military ineffiencies — it is to reduce military spending to give to the FSA. And it is bullshit. As is the Republican response — crickets,

  4. Thanks for the link Sadie.
“…that when a once great power is governed by a paper rat – Obama doesn’t rise even to the level of a paper tiger – the bad actors of the world no longer have anything to fear…”
I don’t believe the bad actors have feared America for quite a while, but more so under Obama’s administration.
