Can anyone think of a reason (OK, a legitimate reason) the President should incur security/travel costs to sign an Agriculture Bill in Michigan? Is there some symbolic significance to this bill that escapes me? Is Michigan State an important university for agricultural studies? Or is this trip just further evidence that the President cannot stand being in the White House doing the day-to-day work of being president? .

He’s probably repaying Debbie Stabenow (Marxist-Michigan) for her loyalty to the regime. No doubt she’ll be a passenger on AF1 with Preezy. Stabenow was the driving force behind the pork-laden trillion dollar farm bill he’s going to sign. She delivered Michigan dairy farmers the taxpayer-funded fatted calf, so to say.

What kind of pork is in this piece of legislation? I find this grand-standing and running-up-and-down-the-road particularly annoying.

Well, 80% of the farm bill is food stamps, but there are lots of other taxpayer gouging goodies in it to include lifting the stay on the Christmas Tree Tax.

I am saddened to see that the Catfish Inspection Program was not taken out of the final bill. It would have saved the taxpayers $14 million dollars. I often have fried catfish when I visit relatives in Tenn, and I would have gladly inspected the catfish for a mere $1 million….

Rather OT but it’s a dark day for those who worship the attire of FLOTUS. Yes the proprietor of the website who monitor Mrs O’s
every article of dubious attire has hung up her pen and called it quits
after years of fawning and adoration. Whatever does this mean what will
we do without the wealth of knowledge of those belts and fabulous frocks? Sad days ahead:-(

Loyal readers of Michelle Obama’s Mirror will still enjoy seeing, and snarking about, Me-Chelle’s fashion faux pas at

Yes but we won’t have the delusional ravings of those commenting
they were funny and scary:-)

His EPA is throwing thousands onto the unemployment lines with its “war on coal” and “we hate carbon” crap but yet he hops on AF1 and spews how many tons of it into the atmosphere for a photo op in Michigan?
Hypocrisy runs strong in this one.

Danceswithtruth February 7, 2014 at 9:19 am

When doesn’t the hypocrisy run strong?

Junius February 7, 2014 at 8:37 am

Well there goes another few hundred thousand of taxpayers money so Dictator Obama can jet off on another ego feeding trip to deliver his usual teleprompter dose of damn lies and more ldamn lies to a carefully selected audience of useful idiots. Then of course it’s back to the Spite House for another weekend of partaying and carefully avoiding being in the same room as his scowling beard wife.

Does anyone ever ask the people standing in the back, how they were contacted to stand there?
Is there an application and a legal document that they sign?
That makes them promise not to show any emotion, expression, etc. that may look as they are shocked, or disagreeing what he may be rambling about?
In other words if Pres (blank) asked me to stand behind him. Yes I may be a supporter. However if he said something that by surprise I disagreed with, I may show an expression of that surprise or an expression showing disagreement.
