  1. what is the point of carney walking in if he’s just going to walk out before it’s over?

what is the point of the press if they don’t care that someone treats them like peons?

    • 46 minutes late. And he starts out by reminding me that I have lost the freedom to choose insurance policies that control premium costs by imposing lifetime coverage limits or ones that don’t cover breast exams.

      • Does anyone in the “WH press corps” have the guts to ask Propaganda Sec. Carney why he is late…?

-I just answered my own question; its the “WH press corp” and they have no guts to ask REAL QUESTIONS about the Obama regime.

  2. “beginning shortly

    12:00 PM ET

    Press Brefing by Press Secretary
    Jay Carney

    THE WHITE HOUSE”

    And this at 12:48…

    Gotta love the arrogance!

Not that I’m going to pay Jay-Zero the least bit of attention, seeing as how it will just be a spin, petulance, and evasion festival again…If they’re going to lie anyway, they should AT LEAST make it entertaining…you know, like headlines out of the supermarket tabloids, stuff from daytime TV, maybe throw a chair or two? ANYTHING’S better than watching The Mouth of Sauron bloviate on his Master’s behalf AGAIN.

Although I CAN sympathize with Carney not wanting to come back out any sooner than necessary – the lies are getting away from him, and becoming so obvious that even the press is having difficulty concealing them – I don’t really have any pity for him. He knowingly, willingly, even gladly sold his soul to this dictator, and if he can’t nut up enough to quit, he pretty much deserves being Hopey’s whipping boy…

Maybe the Mouth of Sauron isn’t the right Lord of the Rings anology. He’s more like Wormtounge, following the master he THOUGHT would lead him to glory into oblivion instead as his spiteful master Saurman goes to wreak what petty havoc he can after his dreams of treachorous domination collapse in his face, hating his Master, and yet bound to him by having both sold out to him and having done things FOR him from which there is no redemption…

    Saruman;
“Oh yes, Saruman’s home could be all wrecked and he could be turned out but no one could touch yours. ‘Well,’ thought I, ‘if they’re such fools, I will get ahead of them and teach them a lesson.’ One ill turn deserves another. It would have been a sharper lesson if only you had given me a little more time and more men. Still, I have already done much that you will find it indeed quite hard to mend or undo in your lives. And it will be pleasant to think of that and set it against my injuries.”

“No evil? Did I hear someone ask where Lotho was hiding? You know, don’t you, Worm? Will you tell them?”

” He whimpered a tortured “no, no!”. I looked up from him to the crowd. “Then I will. Worm killed your ‘chief’, didn’t you, Worm? Stabbed him in his sleep I believe. Burned him, I hope; though Worm had been hungry lately. No, Worm is not really nice. You had better leave him to me.”
Hatred entered the wretch’s eyes. “You made me do it!” he hissed.
“You do what I say. Well now I say: follow!” – JRR Tolkien, “The Return of the King”

Yeah. That’s a better fit. Although I don’t know how Obama would feel about being referred to as a “White Wizard”…

        • Well, “Yertle the Turtle” IS rather descriptive of Obama as well…

“They were… until Yertle, the king of them all,
Decided the kingdom he ruled was too small.
“I’m ruler”, said Yertle, “of all that I see.
But I don’t see enough. That’s the trouble with me.
With this stone for a throne, I look down on my pond
But I cannot look down on the places beyond.
This throne that I sit on is too, too low down.
It ought to be higher!” he said with a frown.
“If I could sit high, how much greater I’d be!
What a king! I’d be ruler of all that I see!”

So Yertle the Turtle King, lifted his hand
And Yertle, the Turtle King, gave a command.
He ordered nine turtles to swim to his stone
And, using these turtles, he built a new throne.
He made each turtle stand on another one’s back
And he piled them all up in a nine-turtle stack.
And then Yertle climbed up. He sat down on the pile.
What a wonderful view! He could see ‘most a mile!

“All mine!” Yertle cried. “Oh, the things I now rule!
I’m the king of a cow! And I’m the king of a mule!
I’m the king of a house! And, what’s more, beyond that
I’m the king of a blueberry bush and a cat!
I’m Yertle the Turtle! Oh, marvelous me!
For I am the ruler of all that I see!” – Dr. Seuss

Would have been a better choice for the fillibuster, IMO. Can you IMAGINE Hopey’s face if he heard THAT?

  3. I’m just a tad bit suspicious of another comprehensive bill on anything.

Carney said that immigration legislation must be comprehensive and that he doesn’t care how it happens as long as i meets the requirements and aspirations of the President.

Put another way, Obama will insist that it’s his way or the highway and he will not compromise or negotiate.

    • No more ‘comprehensive’ bills which no one reads before voting on it. Let them choke on it. He’s not in a position to dictate anymore.

      • Agree Julie, they cooked the bad soup, let them eat it up and may it be a lengthy meal. It´s delightful to watch them squirm. Maybe they will lose the appetite for yet another soup.

  4. BLAH! BLAH! BLAH!

    Talking Point.

    BLAH! BLAH! BLAH!

    Talking Point.

This was one of the most disgusting briefings I have ever seen or heard!

If someone asks a difficult question, he sometimes answers with the wrong talking point.

I’m embarrased for the US this Administration and Jay Carney. We look like complete clowns to the rest of the world.

  5. One has to wonder if Carney is going to write a tell-all once this is all over. You know–this is what I was told, this is what I asked about but was stiffed for deniability, blah blah blah.

It won’t be a bestseller, but it may be the only way for him to ever get an honest job again.

  6. So we have the answer to the question who was lying: Durbin or Carney? Since I can see through this admin’s BS pretty well by now (this admin gives us all a lot of practice), Carney basically said the WH made that comment up and now they regret it (of course, I assume they made it up to stir up the democrats outrage and they only regret getting caught).

I hope the democrats that were in that meeting that were told that lie wake up and realize they are being used just like the rest of us. They need to smarten up and realize this admin can not be trusted and they should just work around this admin. This applies to both parties. Just ignore the POTUS and his admin. Deal directly with each other.

  7. Sparky might as well just read the phone book as he just lies and smirks.
The ‘press corpse’ should be ashamed but they’ve sold their souls to the
devil so why bother to waste the time with the charade of a WH briefing?

  8. OT: took one for the team
    C-Span hearings

CGI reveals they were paid @$260, 000,000 for this mess.
Another computer firm rep reveals they were paid @$60,000,000.

None of the witnesses know who MrO was referring to when he claimed that he had brought in the “best and brightest” to fix the broken system. Not the person or the company name.

CGI claims they’re working “around the clock” to fix the system.
CGI claims that up until two weeks before Oct 1, a consumer browsing program was up and running where one could log-on and check out different insurance policies, but someone, they couldn’t or wouldn’t name, made them add the up front information logs that screwed up the rest of the system.
The witnesses were cold as cucumbers, never broke a sweat. They know something they’re not telling, and know that they won’t be held responsible for the disaster.
One of the Congressmen asked if any of them would like to apologize to the American public and there were no takers.

The Dems did their best to blame the Repubs for this mess, but the Repubs struck back, claimed they never defunded or delayed the ACA.
It’s all on the Dems now and they’re stewing.

    • I thought they said they were bringing in Verizon to mop up the mess. I’d like to know, is it possible we just return the web site to everyone involved and get a refund? LOL

    • Great job of reporting, srdem. Betcha I can guess why they removed the browsing option. This evil regime knew they had a turkey on their hands so they want to trap people into giving up their personal data before looking at policies. Once people get a peek at the outrageous prices the leviathan is charging for health insurance coverage, they’ll run for the hills, but not before Uncle Sam logs every detail of their personal lives. Never knew statists could be so devious and deceitful.
