    • Obama?

He’s not worthy to be in the same room with ANY soldier, let alone a Medal of Honor winner.

This is why this man is receiving this honor.

“William Swenson, a former captain in the U.S. Army, managed to help fend off an onslaught of insurgents, saved lives, coordinated a rescue, and braved gunfire to retrieve fallen soldiers.”

Honor. Duty. Bravery. Things Obama wouldn’t know if they bit him.

This man made no political calculus, no consideration for his own safety and comfort, made no retreat even after a SEVEN HOUR battle. He just put his head down and did what had to be done, out of his loyalty to his comerades and personal valor and bravery, even to the point of retrieving bodies from the battlefield.

We can’t even get Obama to sit in the Situation Room (without Jay-Z, anyway) when the danger is thousands of miles away and make a flipping decision to have OTHER people rescue brave Americans in dire straits, even though they be the embodiment of our Country in foreign lands, such as Ambassador Stevens. Instead, he hides, has people calculate whether HE is better served by their lives or by their deaths, lies about it, and has not given a credible accouting of his actions to this day.

      Pretty stark contrast.

It’s been wisely said that a drop of wine in a gallon of garbage produces garbage; but a drop of garbage in a gallon of wine STILL produces – garbage.

Obama devaues this award by his very presence, especially in light of recent Spite House decisions to maximize pain ON THE MILITARY – even on the families of those DEAD SOLDIERS Captain Swenson recovered – to meet his selfish, self-aggrandizing political ends. Obama should go cower somewhere with his Hollywood freinds, and quit acting like he gives two sh!ts about the military. It’s far too late to tell that lie now.

      Our military deserves better.

We salute you, Captian Swenson. I am ashamed though that you have to get your justly won decoration from this despicable person you are forced to honor with your presence. YOU deserve better.

It’s just a photo op for Obama, trying to make appear worthy of standing in such company when he clearly is NOT.

      Its just sickening.

  1. So is Captain Swensen going to be forced to stand behind the barry-cades surrounding the WhiteHouse to get his award? What nerve this faux Commander in Chief has to “honor” this brave soldier when he thumbed his nose at all the rest.

    His story:
“Swenson is scheduled to receive the Medal of Honor on 15 October 2013. He was nominated for his actions as an Embedded Trainer in the Battle of Ganjgal near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border on 8 September 2009. He is reported to have repeatedly entered the “kill zone” in order to rescue wounded American and Afghan soldiers, much like his teammate Dakota Meyer who was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2011.

For reasons which remain unclear, the paperwork was lost, causing a significant delay in the nomination process. Some believe that Swenson was being punished for loudly criticizing his senior officers (for not sending fire support) in an after-action investigation into the battle. His case was reopened in 2011 at the urging of Marine Corps General John R. Allen. Dakota Meyer strongly advocated for Swenson’s Medal of Honor in his book, Into the Fire: A Firsthand Account of the Most Extraordinary Battle in the Afghan War, writing that if it weren’t for Swenson, he (Meyer) would not be alive today.”

  2. The manner in which the Coward-in-Chief rushes through these MofH ceremonies is appalling. It’s like he is competing in a speed-reading contest. He finishes and leaves the Medal reci;pients to fend for themselves as he shakes a few hands on his way to the exit door. Can’t bear to watch it anymore.

    • I think he’s ashamed to be in the company of such brave men who have risked it all for the country he (obama) is trying to destroy.
MrObama is a mean, little, spiteful, girly-man that isn’t worthy to shine the boots of the honorees.
      With all due respect.

  3. Seems Michelle is Off shopping. Wasn’t at the soup kitchen Mon. Can’t seem to weed her garden or pick the veggies. How come grandma and the daughters can’t help? Oh forgot! Royalty only goes to concerts-menial labor not allowed

    • It’s amazing how he puts on the charade of “admiration” for our military heroes when, in fact, he loathes everything about our armed forces.

  4. When it comes to the military Obama has no shame. And as for the meeting with the Hagel the best outcome would be a resignation for the death benefits denial.

  5. i bet this idiot is so ready to start traveling and campaigning again since he and the misses are stuck at home. what a home to be stuck in!!!
