As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Video || RNC Mocks Obama’s Obamacare Rollout

Seems like a pretty effective and amusing ad by the RNC. Thought you might want to have a look.

    • ROTFLMAO. You can’t make this up. The other pro-Obama guy was shocked that he’d have to cough up $10,000 of disposable income to insure his family of four.

    • Back in 2008, I took a road trip to the Smokey Mountains. Aside from the scenic views and vistas, I was stunned by the number of Obama signs that dotted every hill, valley, village and hamlet along the way. A visitor from another planet would have thought that they were announcing the coming of the messiah and were hell bent to alert anyone with a pair of eyes to ready themselves. Well..well… they got half a messiah – a ‘mess’ and a 430% increase in premiums.

      From the Charlotte Observer:

George Schwab of Charlotte, who pays $228 a month for his family’s $10,000 deductible plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
In a Sept. 23 letter, Blue Cross notified him that his current plan doesn’t meet benefit requirements outlined in the Affordable Care Act and suggested a comparable plan for $1,208 a month – $980 more than he now pays.

  1. That is one really dumb political ad. People who are aware of the messy rollout don’t need a reminder, those who aren’t aware that they must buy insurance won’t watch it to the end.
The Dems will see their dear leader trying to be positive and will blame the screwup on anonymous government drones.
If 60% of Americans don’t want this and 25% have no intention of buying healh insurance , then the point of making this ad must bethan “look, the Repubs screwed up the ACA”.

      • @Susan, you made me smile, thanks.

The point is that the Repubs don’t have to waste a dime on negative ads, or even spend a lot of time bashing the ACA.
The Dems are doing a good job of making this fiasco something that anyone with a brain cell wouldn’t wish on anyone.

If the WhiteHouse sends out MrsSebelius to sell the ACA on JonStewart’s funfest thinking they’ll reach the young&fit, but he says he thinks she’s lying, then the act and MrsSebelius, et all, are doomed to failure.
The Repubs need ads that say ‘elect our guy/gal in the next election and we will fix this mess. we’ll keep the good stuff and trash the rest’.

        • @srdem65, you are right.

The Republicans are idiots. Because its not about the glitches. The website couldve worked perfectly.

          The issue is ACA itself.
When Sebelius went on JonStewart and said that people could opt out by paying a penalty, I would make an ad about that…and then say, “While Secty Sebelius says this is a penalty, that is false. The Supreme Court says it is not a penalty. IT IS A TAX. What the Secty is saying is that you can pay the TAX and get nothing for it, or pay a lot more money and get some healthcare. Those are the choices you are given! This is just a ruse to raise taxes on the young ,the old, the poor and the middle class.”

      • Karl Rove’s (and the Bushes’) time has come and gone, but they don’t want to give up power. It is they who are harming the GOP’s chances, not the Tea Party or llibertarians.

    • But it has such pleasant background music, which is much needed when you get a new quote in the mail that’s enough to make your heart stop. Skip the healthcare and pay for the funeral.

  2. This website stuff will be worked out (who thought more than 50,000 tirekickers could come on at once?)–but the rest of it will remain along with the sticker shock people are beginning to detect.

  3. 25% of those eligible are not going to sign up. This is not insignificant as there won’t be any money coming in from the business mandate. If most of the 25% don’t pay taxes, how is the government going to penalize them? My guess is that it may adopt Hillary Clinton’s idea and attach wages. I’d say Obamacare is going to face a money crunch.

    • remember, alot of these young people don’t have to sign up because they are now allowed to be on their parent’s healthcare until they are 26. For most of these people they would have been paying at either 18 or 22 (graduating from high school or college). Now, the gov’t instead of getting their taxed money, is getting nothing.

The Obama people don’t even know how to work the system even when they have rigged it. MORONS.

  4. I want to hear from those people behind BO. Tell us how you got through the morass to sign up—-and how much is it costing You?

And, more importantly, I don’t believe them. If they are really thrilled with their new insurance , why look so dour. Maybe because he just keeps talking and talking and talking and tal……
