As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

  1. It must have been the original 800# people found offensive and too close to the truth, so they’re going to change it first thing Monday morning to:

    1-800-879-6877 (1-800-UP-YOURS).

  2. It’s too early in the morning for my head to throb, but I just heard on Fox that the DoJ has declared the Amerber Alert system to be “nonessential”. Let’s hope perverts and vengeful non-custodial parents don’t know about this.

    • I saw that they shut down the Amber Alert website yet leaving up MO’s Let’s Move and Drink More Water “essential” sites. It also started the #SpiteHouse tag on twitter. :D

      • “yet leaving up MO’s Let’s Move and Drink More Water “essential” sites”

Oooooh. Why did you have to write that? My left eye is twitching.

  3. Two Americans and one German, all of them doing their research at American Universities, got their Nobel Prizes in physiology, or medicine, this morning. Still no question about it, American Universities are the best in the world in leading, groundbreaking research.
I am always interested in the Literature prize. I would be glad if the American writer Joyce Carol Oates got it , I like her books. She is very popular over here, especially among female readers. I don´t know how you regard her books over there. But popularity is really nothing that the Swedish Academy pay attention to , on the contrary. Most often a rather unknown author wins and hopefully gets a lot of readers. Last year a Chinese male writer was rewarded so why not an American lady this time ? I really hope so.
