    • I think Buchanan’s solution about the House sending over the CR bit by bit, starting with the Pentagon, won’t work. It would take too much time and too many parts of the government would shutdown by the time their place in line is addressed. If the House sends back the CR with the provision that the individual mandate be postponed for a year, I will consider it a victory. They could not achieve even that without the Mike Lee/Ted Cruz fight. It appears as the ‘compromise”. If Obama doesn’t accept that, then the government shutdown will be all on him. One thing encouraging, Susan, is the percentage of the population which will not accept no action or even an increase on spending. 79% according to the fishwrap NYT.

  1. If Congress, the Administration and Supreme Court — all the Yahoos responsible for Obamacare – including all of HHS and the IRS are subject to the “law ” without subsidies this thing would shut down and pack up in a heartbeat.

  2. Completely unrelated, but worth passing along…

Noticed a headline on Drudge that thieves were stealing walnuts because the price had gotten so high.

So I went and did some sniffing around. Indexmundi.com had some decent commodity charts, not just the instant quotes, but historical numbers, as well. Turns out there are a LOT of commodities I looked at that have gone up over the past five years, and a few that have hit 30-year highs in the past five years.

Incomes are falling, prices for essentials are rising, and to historic highs in some cases. This…is not good.

  3. Obama said there is no evidence of the new health care hurting jobs? There is a list of many, many big employers like Walmart, etc., etc., who are having to have THOUSANDS, MILLIONS, of jobs in these companies changed to part-time jobs? This Obama keeps on telling lies to the American public day! He is truly a pathological liar and he’s the President?

  4. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the
page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?
