  1. To a worldwide audience, Obama provides a singular display of America’s leadership void.

    I . . . I . . . I . . . me . . . me . . . me . . . This is what the rest of you need to do . . . (because I certainly am not willing to do it myself) . . .I . . . I . . . I . . . me . . . me . . .

    • I am reading that he said that the world is much safer now than five years ago. When he just happened to become President, hah! Even when he’s not using the personal pronoun, he still manages to make it all about himself.

      • I love the way he said it too Julie.
He said, because of the NSA surveillance techniques we are safer now than 5 years ago.
BUT, because of the backlash we are going to look into changing it.

        SO WAIT>>>>
It’s working so we are going to fix it so it doesn’t work?
Is that what you are saying?

No. what he’s saying is…I didn’t know anyone would be upset, because who could be mad at me…so why don’t I say something that will appease you for the time being because frankly I have no idea what is right or wrong about this spying stuff. I just say whatever will get you to agree with me. Because you love me.

    • Dear UN and your honorable leaders,

I’m like you. We are the supreme leaders of our nations except my nation is wicked. Bush was wicked. The American people don’t work hard enough to be liked by the rest of the world. America is at fault for most of it, though Israel is to be blamed as well. Thank goodness that I am here. You can believe in me. Trust me. I know I do. Now, who wants to go for a round of golf.

  2. I wish you would have had Dilma Rouseff’s speech to the UN immediately before Obama’s. Now that’s a speech I would have clicked on to, not Obama’s usual teleprompter bromides. I would have loved to see the reaction on the faces of Kerry and Power.

    • Darn it, I missed her speech. To her credit, she cancelled the Oct. State dinner – the only one Obama had scheduled for the entire year. A real slap in the face to Obama – one he tried desperately to avoid – begging her twice to put aside her differences about the NSA spying on her personal phone calls and Brazil’s Petrobras ‘for the sake of bilateral relationships’.

      • We can assume that a lot of preparation has already been done for this state dinner. No sense wasting all that money and time..
I propose that MrO can invite his BFF Vlad and his new squeeze to be the honorees. No doubt, Vlad would be thrilled to be honored by the US

  3. Typical and predictable Obama. Just insert America in lieu of Israel.

There’s a growing recognition that *his* occupation of the WH is tearing at the democratic fabric of America.

“The state of Israel is here to stay.”
    [Translation: Not all of it].

“there is a growing recognition within Israel that the occupation of the West Bank is tearing at the democratic fabric of the Jewish state”
[Translation: Return to 1967 borders and surrender your security].

Footnote: President Chutzpah spoke to a select group of “lefty” university students in March 2013.

AND from the Kerry State Department (only the name has changed, it still stinks like the Clinton State Dept).

The United States condemns the killings of two Israeli soldiers in separate incidents in the West Bank in the last two days. Such violence and terror are unacceptable, and undermine efforts to establish the positive atmosphere the parties need to progress in peace negotiations. We call on all parties to join in condemning these attacks.

    “unacceptable”? How about explicitly declaring
that they constitute a violation of Palestinian commitments and that the PA/PLO is expected to immediately acknowledge this?

    • ““there is a growing recognition within Israel that the occupation of the West Bank is tearing at the democratic fabric of the Jewish state”
[Translation: Return to 1967 borders and surrender your security].” – Sadie

Don’t forget, he told Israel that he doesn’t recognize their capital, either…

“SUBJECT: Suspension of Limitations Under the Jerusalem Embassy Act

“Pursuant to the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 7(a) of the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 (Public Law 104-45) (the “Act”), I hereby determine that it is necessary, in order to protect the national security interests of the United States, to suspend for a period of 6 months the limitations set forth in sections 3(b) and 7(b) of the Act.” – Caliph Soetoro

In other words, Obama does not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

    • I love Cruz…though let’s not get gushy gushy.
Maybe I’m too cynical because Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan have broken my heart all too recently.

        • Good question.
I think Ryan retreated when he was partnered with Romney.
On immigration, on Obamacare I think Rubio retreated because he was feeling it from the Florida folks in the center.

It’s possible they were hoping to come across as diplomatic and aisle-crossers by working with the Democrats. Problem is the Dems aren’t aisle-crossers…they are double-crossers.

    • So, it’s started. I forgot to mention earlier when I responded to you about McConnell that McConnell and Reid must be good buddies. He bailed Reid out the last time Reid was up for reelection and torpedoed Sharon Angle.

  4. I may have bad info or inadequate, but it appears as if Iran scorned Obama’s “outreach”.

    Mon Dieu, said Jean Kerry.

And go Cruz and Lee! Lots of cheap shots at them, but so be it. They are doing what they were elected to do. I applaud them.

Waiting for perfect — rarely a good idea.

  5. On FBN Noelle ______, major GOP fundraiser says Cruz et al damaging fund raising efforts. I have heard her say this before. We lose RINO $ with this public airing of dirty laundry

    • I heard her bad mouthing Cruz. BIG MISTAKE. The filibuster is not a win/lose proposition – it’s winnowing the wheat from the (shaft) chaff. We’re going to find out who is with us and who is not. The GOP doesn’t deserve a nickel from any of us until they fight for us and not themselves.
      MOLON LABE.

      • And I think we all owe it to tune in to listen to the effort that Senator Cruz is making on our behalf. We owe him that because surely there will be a lot of sniping, criticism, etc. from those not brave enough to stand and do what he is doing.

  6. His line about the world being a safer place than it was five years ago has got the National Review comment section howling like a werewolf convention. Some of the vituperation on there would make Ambrose Bierce wince.
