As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Live Stream || Carney Briefing – May 10, 2013

Now they’re doing the briefing at 3:15 PM ET, apparently because it’s running into Obama’s health care event, which is at 2:40.

UPDATE: The briefing has concluded.

  1. Jay needs extra time to review videos of the John Banner character Sgt Schultz in the old Hogans Heros tv show “I KNOW NOTHING!”

  2. Actually, Carney needs more time to open his e-mail file where he was cc: on all the talking point changes made by the State Department and White House and then submitted to the CIA for the disingenuous revised draft prepared for Susan Rice’s Sunday performances.

As one web site has noted: Benghazi – 4 Dead; 2 Missing-in-Action (Obama, Hillary)

    • and yet, Emily’s List today is offering “Madam President” bumper stickers.

(If you’re liberal and female, they’ve got your back (and sometimes your front).

  3. As appropriate for an afterschool cartoon show……….

Rather than watch either, I think I will clean a venetian blind or two.

    • And soon we will know who attended and whether they will be complicit in continuing to carry the WH water in this cover up. Bad move IMHO.

  4. Maybe Obama thinks if he keeps the reporters waiting they will leave and Jay Carney will not be called to task over Benghazi!!!

  5. That’s it? Gee, that didn’t last long at all.

Now we need a name list of all reporters who sold out any remaining semblance of journalistic integrity by agreeing to the off-the-record briefing.

  6. “The President called it an act of terror.”
Lies, Lies, Lies. He referred to ‘terrorism’ in general terms in the Rose Garden the next day.

    • Absolutely right, Girly1. Preezy Revenge used the word “terror” ONE time in his Rose Garden speech. The sibilant snake never even mentioned Benghazi and terror in the same paragraph.

“No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation…” ~Preezy Revenge 9/12/12 (Speech given a few hours before jumping on AF1 for a prescheduled campaign trip to Vegas Baby!)

  7. (h/t Allen West’s Facebook page)

Watching White House press conference and my deduction is that Jay Carney is a skilled and manipulative liar, but still a liar. Quite adept at deflection. But the question is, what was US Ambassador Chris Stevens doing in the middle of Islamic terrorist territory where the black Al Qaeda flag flew prominently without appropriate security on the 11th anniversary of September 11th? This is not about politicizing or creative mystery. The most transparent administration is so not. Nice to see the MSM is trying to salvage their credibility.

  8. I LURVE this Jay Carney press briefing. I want to put it on a loop and glance at it throughout the evening, to remind myself of how the weasel was squirming. sweet!

and snaps up to the WH press corpse. if they keep asking tough questions like this, we may have to drop that “e” !

I wonder what Carney said to his WH overlords when he was finally able to leave the briefing room. do press secretaries get mad when they are forced to lie, or do they just consider that part of the job description?

  9. Jim Carrie is busy so maybe Carney is available to star in the sequel to “Liar Liar”. He’d be perfect for the roll. But hey, who in this administration wouldn’t be.
