There’s another movie coming out in a couple of weeks, and I’m wondering if the current WH will host a party for its cast and crew also. It’s The Company You Keep, produced, directed and acted in by Robert Redford. It’s a retelling of the Weather Underground’s Brinks robbery in Nyack, NY in which three law enforcement and security guards were killed. All were married and had children, one man with quite young children. The movie is supposed to portray the Weather Underground as a group of young idealists. Many of us here are old enough to remember what they really were like.

I bring it up because we all know that Obama and wife were good friends with two other Weather Underground members in Chicago, William Ayres and his wife Bernadine Dohrn. Michelle Malkin wrote an excellent piece this past weekend on the upcoming film and the Brinks robbery and perpetrators which was reprinted on RealClearPolitics. If you haven’t read it, I hope you can still call it up.

Thank you, Julie. It is a travesty how Hollyweird attempts to glorify America-hating domestic terrorists and whitewash history. Michelle Malkin’s article is spot on…

And no military funerals for veterans because they don’t do anything heroic. Sad, so very sad.

No purple hearts for heroes who took fire in the Fort Hood terrorist attack, either. It wouldn’t be fair to the terrorist, and we’d have to stop calling it a “workplace violence incident’ too. That is NOT happening. After all, aren’t ALL workplace violence incidents carried out by trecherous, armed Muslim soldiers screaming “الله أكبر”?

“Despite extensive evidence that Hasan was in communication with al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki prior to the attack, the military has denied the victims a Purple Heart and has treated the incident as “workplace violence” instead of “combat related” or terrorism. Last month, a spokesman for recently appointed Defense Secretary, Chuck Hagel, told ABC News the Department’s position had not changed under his leadership. ”

“The White House on Tuesday threatened to veto the defense authorization bill that the House Armed Services Committee passed last week, reeling out an eight-page list of objections to what Republicans had proposed.

The disputes included everything from provisions governing terror detainees to whether victims of the Little Rock and Fort Hood shooting should be eligible for Purple Hearts. (No, says the White House, because the law as written “could create appellate issues.”)”

Minor issue, Mr. President. Enjoy the movie.

How about we do one about Benghazi next? Would you watch THAT with your Hollywood friends?

Good catch, Julie! As I recall, Bill Ayres was ‘just a guy in the neighborhood’. The movie should be sub-titled: An Ode to Barack Hussein Obama.

This hits close to home, Julie. I live near the crime scene and one of the perps is in the dog training program I work for in Bedford Hills Correctional Facility here in NY. She was only a passenger in one of the cars but because she either refused counsel or said counsel was an idiot, she received multiple life sentences.

Tragic time for our society overall. Was not aware a movie was coming out on it. Thanks for the info.

Although she was older than me, Diana Oughton (killed in a Greenwich Village townhouse explosion while making bombs) and I attended the same church as children. I don’t remember her, but my mother certainly did and she made me aware of the terrible things she did. The family was very prominent and her involvement in SDS was shocking in our small town in northern Illinois. What a waste.

Julie Brueckheimer April 2, 2013 at 1:47 am

I remember that event too, and she is buried in Illinois. Or her finger was which is all they ever found of her. Many of the Weather Underground seem to have come from surprisingly comfortable backgrounds. Ayres’s father was the CEO or some other important figure in Commonwealth Edison, and they lived in Glen Ellyn. (We lived in Winfield at the time.)

MO has invited 80 high school and college students to attend and then you’ll have all the cast and crew, so it’s going to be another big party on our dime. If there’s no money for WH tours there should be no money for private movie screenings and parties.

Julie Brueckheimer April 2, 2013 at 1:48 am

They are really rubbing our noses in it.

Langley Spook April 2, 2013 at 7:00 am

Maybe SOMEONE in the WH “press” corps should bring this up; party for movie sceening = no WH tours…???
(yeah, right… why would the WH “press” corps ask that Dope Carney an uncomfortable-real question)

Lizzy April 2, 2013 at 7:49 am

I’m starting to wonder how much longer the American hard working or
unemployed American will put up with the lies and abhorrent behavior
of the Obama family? You can only tolerate having being played for a
fool for so long I think we’re close to the tipping point. It would help if
the GOP would stop hiding under their desk!

DeniseVB April 2, 2013 at 10:38 am

Especially with the gigunda Easter party only yesterday. Cha-ching. Closed WH tours should be brought up EVERYDAY by the press only because the Obamas won’t sacrifice any of their fun for that pesky sequester he created.

Lizzy April 2, 2013 at 6:37 am

Good God host family and crew of a movie at taxpayers expense but no kids
allowed to tour the house it’s being held in just rich Hollywood drooling idiots?
Those children not allowed to,tour their parents, grandparents and back paid for it you have to wonder how many tax dodges and loopholes the Hollywood
folks jumped through to,avoid paying for the WH where they will party hearty
on the taxpayers dime. Charming.

ImNoDhimmi April 2, 2013 at 8:34 am

I’m quite sure the subject of the film influenced the decision to have an all-celeb showing at the White House. While I certainly admire Jackie Robinson and his many outstanding accomplishments, you can bet that a biographical flick about some white man’s achievements will never be screened in Barry’s White House.

Girly1 April 2, 2013 at 9:15 am

ImNoDhimmi, I’m afraid it’s the Mooch’s (White) House now. She is the ‘resident racist’ and director of entertainment. Barry knows better than to get between Michelle and a tamale, so to speak. When she orders him to get the riff-raff out of her house, he follows orders STAT. Barry can’t control the ‘”Lady of the House’ or the Leader of the House. Looks like the only place left for him is the dog house.

DeniseVB April 2, 2013 at 10:32 am

Nor will they screen Dr. Ben Carson’s bio.

Star April 2, 2013 at 10:51 am

So…bringing in college kids to see murderous robbers glorified, at our expense…oh, excellent.

Julie Brueckheimer April 2, 2013 at 11:31 am

The movie they are celebrating at the WH today is about Jackie Robinson. The one I brought up about the Weather Underground will come out in a few weeks. I was just speculating on why I thought the Obamas would have a party for that one.

Regina April 2, 2013 at 10:17 am

sooo gross.

DeniseVB April 2, 2013 at 10:33 am

Would love to be able to link major cast and crew members of this movie to their donations.

AZ Granny April 2, 2013 at 12:15 pm

The schedule says hosts “cast and crew” members. So, does that include the entire crew? Because that’s a long list of people which becomes even longer if they’re allowed to take a guest. Plus the students. Plus the multimillion dollar trip we’re going to pay for him to go lecture us on gun laws and those campaign fundraisers. If BO and MO keep partying and traveling like this, our country will be broke before the end of summer.

Here’s the cast and crew list.

Oh good grief, I knew from what you wrote that I shouldn’t click on that link, but I did anyway. You’re right, very nausea inducing.
