  1. “Obamacare a tool for registering voters? . . . Daily Caller”

    Obamacare is a tool for controlling the population, period. It’s not a new idea;

    ‘The doctrine of ‘public health’ disputed the notion that health was an essentially private matter and was fully embraced by a totalitarian regime which viewed it as a suitable target for state regulation. The individual could not make decisions without considering his or her part in the Reich. Citizens had a ‘duty to be healthy’ (Gesundheitspflicht) – to be fit for war and to be fit to breed – a concept epitomised by the contemporary slogan: “Your body belongs to the Fuhrer!”

    Or to contemporize it, your body belongs to Mayor Bloomberg;

    “The Nazi anti-smoking effort was part of a broader ‘clean life’ crusade which also attacked caffeine, meat-eating, alcohol and drugs. Organic food and high-fibre diets earned government approval. Foods containing fat or preservatives did not.”

    Sound familiar?

    And here is as apt a description of how Obamacare was sold, and Obmama’s modus operandi in general;

    “Neither truth nor sanity were prerequisites for Nazi smear campaigns and the anti-tobacconists cast their net far and wide”

    Obamacare is a vehicle for controlling you. Nothing less.

    Your body belongs to the State. Get used to it.

    • You are so right; the government is taking over Mom’s job ,but go to the extreme by telling everyone how to live or they will be left to die untreated.

      The example of comparing Nazi Germany with the US has a great big flaw; before WWII, Germany had a population of 68 million people all of whom spoke the same language and were of the same general ethnic and racial background. By contrast, the US has about 320 million people who might have very little relationship in ethnic, racial and even language to each other, much less to the government elite who attempt to change their eating and living habits.

      Tobacco is still legal, you can drink as much alcohol as you wish, some recreational drug laws are given winks and nods instead of strict enforcement, and fast food is here to stay. How many years, how much effort will the government nannies devote in an attempt to change the whole of America remains to be seen.

      re: the application as presented on the DC website
      The form is a nightmarish gibber-gabber of Washington speak that goes on for 61 pages of questions that would require an Ivyleague attorney to interpret.

      As for the request to register to vote on the form, yeah they do that at your local DMV when you reapply for your driver’s license, too.

      • There is all kinds of wrong about the voter registration on Obamacare not the least of which is misunderstanding that you are required to vote to sign up and if you register -whether you are a citizen or an illegal in legal sheep’s clothing you are automatically enrolled to be assaulted with DNC and OFA propaganda. Heck they might even offer a now that you’re registered we will vote for for you service – no fuss no muss.

      • “The example of comparing Nazi Germany with the US has a great big flaw; …” – srdem65

        It does have a flaw, and more than one. I thank you for your commentary, but I am not trying to say that we are paralelling Nazi Germany in every respect, but rather that we are going to he!! via a very similar handbasket to the one they were carried in.

        The NSDAP existed prior to Hitler, and they did not simply pop out of a closet one day and say “nyayayah(evil laugh)! We’re going to kill 6 million Jews as we create the most totalitarian state imaginable on our way to a global conflaguration!”. They started with State controlled and paid higher education, old age pensions, “fairer” distribution of profits, nationalization of certain industries, and health care issues, all of which were used as vehicles to justify the increased power of the State to bring them about. THIS is the part that’s ringing the bell. To wit;

        “13. We demand the nationalization of all enterprises (already) converted into corporations (trusts).
        14. We demand profit-sharing in large enterprises.

        15. We demand the large-scale development of old-age pension schemes.

        20. In order to make higher education—and thereby entry into leading positions—available to every able and industrious German, the State must provide a thorough restructuring of our entire public educational system. The courses of study at all educational institutions are to be adjusted to meet the requirements of practical life. Understanding of the concept of the State must be achieved through the schools (teaching of civics) at the earliest age at which it can be grasped. We demand the education at the public expense of specially gifted children of poor parents, without regard to the latter’s position or occupation.

        21. The State must raise the level of national health by means of mother-and-child care, the banning of juvenile labor, achievement of physical fitness through legislation for compulsory gymnastics and sports, and maximum support for all organizations providing physical training for young people.”

        No, it’s not a perfect fit, but these parts would not look out of place at a DNC convention. It’s the asserting of control over people part that requires demonization of certain segments of the population because of political convenience that ends with a nation in flames.

        It is well to remember also that Hitler did not breathe fire domestically. Hitler would frequently give calm, raitional speeches to audiences of his supporters that seemed to bely the newsreel personality, giving rise to the belief of some that his ranting and extremism was just posturing for “enemies of the Reich”, and not to be taken seriously or literally.

        My fear is that we have a generation of young people who lack any grounding in history or in Bible-based teachings, and without that knowledge are led to believe that evil is easily recognized and avoided. NOTHING could be further from the truth. Evil doesn’t always stand on a soap box and declare it’s intentions. Sometimes, it hands you cell phones and offers to take care of your needs for life – and even give you other people’s property for free – if only you surrender your liberties to it.

        THAT’s my point. Obama is NOT Hitler. He’d be easy to avoid if he were.

        But he IS engaged in the same sort of evil that can only end in chaos. The only debatable point is whether it is intentional or not. Either way, it will NOT be stopped unless we can get the kids to recognize it for what it is.

  2. I’m not Jewish so maybe one of my fellow bloggers here could answer my curiosity. Is it quite ‘kosher’ for Michelle Obama to like the candles with a charcoal starter? I’ve always found the Sabbath candle lighting and prayers so lovely and thought that the Seder lighting of candles would be similar. She is not Jewish either (they only play Jewish for photo ops) so it would have been a nice gesture if the Os took a back seat (hah!) and asked some of their guests to light the candles and to do the reading.

  3. The Republican party is so stupid to take advice from the Democrats on how to attract voters. Does Rinse really think the Democrats are interested in giving up any of the special interest voters they have spent a generation pandering to? Heck no. In fact they have found a way to keep the Democrat party fat with constituents for generations to come by including voter registration in Obamacare applications. All those formerly known as ACORN operatives who will be “assisting” in the Obamacare application process sure aren’t going to be registering people to vote Republican. Wise up Republicans. ‘If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.’

    • The Republicans are willing to give up the two birds they have in hand, the conservatives and the older demographic, to pursue a chimera.

  4. Gay marriage, immigration reform, who’s the leading candidate for 2016 and gun control are all distractions from the state of our economy that is still stagnant and not showing much promise for the future. We still have untold milions who have given up looking for jobs, millions more collecting unemployment funds and 14million souls who have thrown in the towel by lying about their health to get government monies from Social Security Disability.

    Threats of gun control or confiscation have racheted up sales of firearms to historic highs; Americans are not going to give up their guns. Period.
    A crappy economy and the theft of depositors money in Cypus has caused many small investors to turn cash into hard metals like gold and silver.
    The cash and barter system has returned to the US in every field to avoid government intrustions from taxes to Obamacare.

    The headlines of the MSM (and the internet stars) are only reflecting what’s going on at the highest levels of America out of DC/NYC/LA.
    They don’t reflect what life is really like here in fly-over country.

      • Yes. I stand corrected. There are 14 million people collecting SocialSecurity Disablility funds and most of them have been added in the last 5 years.
        Either a great number of Americans have been suddenly struck down with disabling ailments that prevent them from working, or they’re out of options and know they’ll never get a job because of their age or lack of skills or training.
        No insult or condemnation is intended to those truly disabled.

  5. The Seder: great to see him with his elbows on the table. But someone PLEASE tell me he did not read from “The Emancipation Proclamation” during the event.
