As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Quote of the Day || January 11, 2013

“I’m not saying what the new gun rules will be, but I would suggest this might be a good time for people to go out and get themselves a slingshot.”

- Joe Biden

  1. They will never get the American firearm owner to give up his weapons or to abide by any law that prohibits their ownership.
The majority of Americans do not live in big cities where policemen walk their neighborhoods or even ride patrol cars regularly past their homes or farms. Criminals will always have firearms and citizens have the right to defend themselves.

    • New York State is way ahead of Joe on this one. It’s been a felony to own a wrist-braced slingshot here for quite some time. Andy calls us the Progressive capitol of the US.

  2. Well this all fits in the utopian society the liberals are trying to ‘fundamentally
change’ us to America as they think it should look. Started slowly no winners
or losers no dangerous gym classes. Hard to believe they find a country of
week minded and non competive clones with no mind to think for themselves
a good thing but they aren’t strong enough to change the country without
having the upper hand. So they are buying loyalty free stuff gimme gimme
society. But we are the fly in their ointment we won’t be bought or changed we
won’t think in a monolithic block. We will fight and as we are strong in mind
body and character we will prevail. They should never be so foolish as to
count us out because we aren’t going away never. Guns out of my cold
    dead hands.

      • If they do; they’re looking for another Civil War.

Then the people fear the government you have tyranny. When the government fears the people; you have liberty. Thomas Jefferson

    • The Cherokee (Eastern Band, anyway) tell a story about the reasoning behind the hairstyle many (incorrectly) refer to as a “Mohawk”.

It seems that the French originated scalping by being paid a bounty for each dead Cherokee warrior, but toting around the entire corpse for proof was a bit cumbersome. They hit upon the concept of scalping as the answer. Some of those murderers, being French, didn’t actually WANT to pick targets that fought back, though, and noticed that Cherokee WOMEN had nice, long hair just like the guys…

The Cherokee warriors adopted a very distinctive haircut to stop this. It was meant for that reason – and also as a challange to the “hunters” that, “Here it is, come get it, IF you’re man enough!”. They also, in the interest of balance, started returning the scalping favor, and the rest is somewhat distorted history.

What do you think, will they be man enough to come at armed citizens? Or do you think that’s why they’re trying to browbeat us into surrendering like little lambs?

The scalps they seek are not on our heads, but in our weapons lockers. Let’s see if they have the cojones to take them…
