I thought he went to Asia last week. No?

CiscoKid November 17, 2012 at 10:16 am

The Mideast is exploding and Dear Leader goes to the other side of the world?
I guess that’s what he ment by ” putting daylight ” between the U.S. and Israel.

Girly1 November 17, 2012 at 10:17 am

How long is it going to be before we have to spend $500-600 Billion on a replacement for AF1???

DeniseVB November 17, 2012 at 10:22 am

Is Michelle going with him ? She’s been awfully quiet since the election.

DeniseVB November 17, 2012 at 10:24 am

Ooops, just noticed her sched for a Monday speech, guess not. Wonder what kind of Thank You Vacay she’s holding out for ? :D

When you have multiple aircraft transporting all her massive posse:
(cousins- aunts-uncles-kids- etc etc), all the 5 star reservations to be made, all the token dignitaries to see along the way,
it takes time to schedule the way “her majesty” travels..on our dime!

Lizzy November 17, 2012 at 2:30 pm

Exhausted and most likely in the shop for a tuneup.

Also means that he won’t have to take questions on Benghazi. The whole episode is being shut down with cooperation from the media and the Democrats in the Senate. Kerry and Levin refuse to call hearings. It’s all up to the House and Fox News apparently.

DeniseVB November 17, 2012 at 10:43 am

He has to come back some time, we’ll wait ;)

srdem65 November 17, 2012 at 10:54 am

Twinkies are history, the waitstaff at our fav eateries are discouraged, the Middle East is raining rockets, our financial future looks gloomy, but, hey, have a nice trip MrO.

Star November 17, 2012 at 11:27 am

Some Congress guy said on the Caller that there would be no Twinkie bailout–what, no Twinkies are back, but Bin Laden is dead? Oh, that’s right–no upcoming election.

Girly1 November 17, 2012 at 11:55 am

The baker’s union is private, ergo…NO bailout.

ImNoDhimmi November 17, 2012 at 6:05 pm

If you’re not too far from the border, Hostess products will not be affected in Canada. Twinkies live in the Great White North!

This is how he asserts his leadership — he glides off and leaves the mess in others’ laps and says, “You fix it. You ain’t the boss of me. I got a vacay to go on and will check in when I’m back if I feel like it. But I am no responsible for nor tied to anything that you decide and I reserve the right to criticize whatever you do while I’m gone.”

But the basic message is “you ain’t the boss of me.”

Anonna November 17, 2012 at 11:01 am

Which, oddly, is Michelle Antoinette’s constant message to BO.

Please correct me if I’m wrong folks, but the skinny out there is that there was a company in Spain that was hired to count the votes from the last election.
The votes were tallied by the states and sent to a server that the Spanish company accessed.
Here’s my problem if this is correct, Moochelle took a trip to Spain in the last year or so.
In attempting to connect the dots, why do we have to have a company in Spain render the results of our elections ?
Is this wrong info ?

bocajr November 17, 2012 at 11:51 pm

What was it called? Skittl?

Lizzy November 17, 2012 at 11:16 am

He found countries he’d not apologized to or bowed to yet? Guess he needs his over active ego stroked a bit more. Fool.

Susan November 17, 2012 at 11:57 am

What is the mission statement for this massive waste of government resources? Get out of Dodge while the Western world implodes and he can’t be blamed because he’s nowhere in sight?

America is wandering in the wilderness – leaderless, with no clear direction, while Barackoclaus celebrates his pyrrhic victory over US.

blondie November 17, 2012 at 12:24 pm

Is there something of great urgency going on in Asia right now? Don’t let the fiscal cliff and the exploding Middle East get in the way of a little travel. I guess 2 full weeks at home is too much to ask.

Langley Spook November 17, 2012 at 5:31 pm

Obama off to Asia = PATHETIC.

Good thing NO ONE in the “MSM” will question this little field trip as everything goes to Hell: Benghazi/Patereus, Fiscal Cliff, NY-NJ storm clean up, the end of Twinkies, Israel invading Gaza…

ImNoDhimmi November 17, 2012 at 6:16 pm

Perhaps the purpose of Barry’s trip is to encourage his muslim brothers in Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar.

FLDemFem November 18, 2012 at 10:09 am

Not a lot of Muslims in Myanmar, aka Burma. They are mostly Buddhist.

gracepmc November 17, 2012 at 6:36 pm

Given Mr. Revenge’s reset failure with Russia and leading from behind and backing all the wrong horses in the Middle East, not much augurs well for our Asia policy as a result of this little jaunt. Wherever we are now, it will be much worse when this little fly about is over.

The fact that the tension between Israel, Hamas and now Egypt (can anyone say stop the flippin’ funding) is at an all time high and the fiscal cliff is looming at home would give any other American President– living or dead pause. On the other hand it doesn’t really matter where he is — he is never fully engaged — consulate under attack, go to bed and then off to Vegas — skip the briefings and read them (supposedly on your ipad, iphone, blackberry or have it read to you by some administration flunky) — visit a disaster area and party hearty in the evening. As long as Valerie Jarrett is in the big house minding the country store, all is well. And finally, does anyone know — is Colin Powell on this ego trip or not?

SurefireDwarf November 17, 2012 at 10:38 pm

Obama definitely needs a Holiday in Cambodia.
