The Presidency Loses Its Final Traces of Dignity

Waging a desperate campaign to maintain the presidency, President Obama has completed his project of diminishing it to nothing.

The presidency, an ailing patient for much of Obama’s term, was finally disconnected from life support with the release by the Obama campaign last week of a video comparing a vote for the president with premarital sex by a virgin.

It was the latest and most stupefying of a series of disgraceful moments we’ve witnessed in recent days.

The president called his opponent a “bullshitter” during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine; He stood at the podium of a campaign rally, beside himself in a juvenile state of amusement as he mocked Gov. Mitt Romney for having “Romnesia” that he said could be cured under Obamacare; and he has avoided his own press corps while appearing on The Tonight Show, MTV, and The View, frivolous venues that a short while ago would have been considered beneath the president, or at least rare exceptions to the rule that a president does serious things.

The desecration of the presidency under Obama has been methodical and obvious.

We’ve watched Obama literally – not figuratively – bow to foreign leaders, chew gum at the ASEAN Summit and elsewhere, inhabit the Oval Office in Casual Friday outfits, put his feet up on every piece of furniture in sight – historic or not – host entertainers in the Situation Room, and wonder aloud “whose ass to kick.” Meanwhile, his wife stages potato sack races in the East Room and his vice president suggests Republicans will put African Americans back in chains and giggles through his debate with GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan.

But the Obama campaign video in which a smug young woman insouciantly proclaims her sexual immorality is what finally stripped the presidency of its own virtue.

Obama and Biden proclaim themselves deeply religious, but it’s hard to imagine, if such a commercial is acceptable to them, what altar they are worshipping at.

We are not a society where a lot of people wait until marriage to have sex. Some don’t even wait for true love. But we at least still try to be discreet about our surrender to our primal desires, given the horrendous consequences – for women in particular – of society’s choice to untether sex from marriage and love.

Today, 41 percent of all children are born to unmarried women, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. Sixty three percent of women aged 20-24 who give birth are unmarried. For women in poverty and their fatherless children, this unwelcome byproduct of the sexual revolution is a catastrophe.

That doesn’t seem to be something Obama cares much about. The video begins:

Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy. It should be with a guy with beautiful . . . someone who really cares about and understands women.

Well, at least, someone who understands women well enough to get their clothes off.

And then on to Obama and Romney.

You want to do it with a guy who brought the troops out of Iraq. You don’t want a guy who says, “Oh hey, I’m at the library studying,” when he’s really out not signing the Lilly Ledbetter Act.

And it ends by amping up the sexual innuendo.

My first time voting was amazing. It was this line in the sand. Before I was a girl. Now I was a woman. I went to the polling station and pulled back the curtain. I voted for Barack Obama.

We are now officially in an age when a presidential campaign website needs parental controls. How would you like to try explaining to your young child what that video was about?

Obama and his aides have revealed a little something about the moral posture they hold. They put out a video that describes reasons to sleep with someone for the first time, casually leaving out the one that should be obvious – that the person is your husband. That’s a standard a president should be promoting, not dismissing.

That is, if there were still a standard for a president.

  2. The entire Obama presidency has been a ‘how low can you go” excercise. It was never about promoting American exceptionalism, instead, it went to great lengths to put us down. Leveling the playing field for the rest of the world, Obama style. This insipid ad is a just reflection of the ever evolving Obama and his lack of core values, integrity, honesty, and decency.

    • under romney massachusettes had very ittle economic growth and was about 48th in states for small business growth. The year Louisiana was hit with katrina, that state did almost as well as romney. romney raised taxes on middle class in Massachusettes by 750,000,000 (750 million) dollars while he refused to add one penny to the wealthy. President Obama cut Taxes for the middle class by 3,600 per year per family He is a mormon, a blatant racist religionist like the amish. when the racist hitler was in power humanity suffered. that religion does not allow blacks, jews or gays. millions of elderly and poor people could die if romney were to get elected. romney could not even remember anything he did as a governor when questioned. We Americans are not his puzzle game or his toys to try or test his thories on. We know his theories don’t work. Mr. Bill Clinton pointed out that Democrats have created 42 million jobs over the past 20 years while g.o.p 24 million. racism does not work. President Obama made provisions to extend medicare till 2024 but the g.o.p. was planning to end medicare in 2016 see my page

      • D.Baker…LIES …ALL LIES! You’ve learned this from your leader have’nt you. IF Obama stays in office …you will eat your words and be sorry.

        • If Obama stays we will all be sorry…the whole world. Do you live under a rock? None of that is lies, it is the truth.Facts, everywhere in thousands of articles. In this age of technology, if someone chooses not to know the truth, they are choosing to be ignorant.

      • D. Baker…..where on Earth did you come up with these fantasy lies?! Mass did much better than Louisiana…Romney did not raise taxes on the middle class….BHO DID NOT CUT TAXES for the middle class because I was middle class 4 yrs ago, now not so much. Medicare costs went up each yr past 4 yrs…..SS went down to pay for Obamacare with no cost of living increase for past 4 yrs. Mormons are not a racist religion and do more for the poor and elderly than I’m sure you do! And you quote Bill Clinton on stats….give me a break! I’m a RN…..many will die if Obamacare remains and if BHO is re-elected. BHO is as close to Hitler as I’ve seen in my lifetime and has the agenda to socialize/commie/dictatorship our Republic! You’re the racist with your remarks! BHO hates America and is destroying Her! What’s the matter with you???? Are you a paid troll or just a brainwashed bigot??? If you’re going to comment, at least give truthful facts—not lies! Romney has a very good memory on what he did as Governor….but BHO didn’t know the national debt; didn’t know we have 50 states; didn’t know what a corpsman was; in fact doesn’t know a damn thing without being fed via teleprompter! Romney/Ryan has the ONLY plan to SAVE Medicare….BHO has NO plan. Get a grip! Honest debate is one thing, but this is blatant WRONG!

  3. The second to last paper I wrote in college was about a topic very similiar to this (Full disclosure: I was a US History & Government major in college). My professor who was a great guy but a complete and utter bed wetting liberal used to argue that government comes first. As he used to say, “our government’s precedent is our constitution” therefore laws and government shape our society. Me being the rebellious and wide eyed youth loved to take the opposite view of my professors just to honk them off (Another full disclosure: I was a philosophy minor so you can draw your own conclusions) argued that while that our government is based off the constitution, the constitiution (and declaration of independence) was written by men that were part of the American society and were choosen by the people to represent them therefore that while our government’s precedent is our constitution, the precedent to our constitution is the people. We elect these people to help shape and mold the government to reflect our society’s values. I conclude the opposite of him as well in this regard: Government (And politicans) is a reflection of the society of the time, not the other way around.

Why do I bring this up? Because our society is rotten Keith. We see it everyday. Like I told you a few weeks ago, this is not 1980 anymore. People only care about themselves, why else do you think every single “undecided voter” in those focus groups always talked about “What is best for me”, not is what’s best for the country? We are society driven 100 percent by entertainment at the lowest forms. After all, there is a reason why there would be more tweets about Snooki’s baby being born then Neil Armstrong dying! I hate to say this but people don’t see Obama as being “unpresidential”. Most of society in America right now think it’s cool. And I hate to say it, but it’s working in the polls as well. Between Obama’s negative campaign barriage followed by “Celebrity-in-chief”, he has been to keep Romney’s “lead’ from expanding. I hate to say this but Obama really is a perfect reflection of the time’s we live in: Overhype with a lot of promise, no follow through or results, self-centered, driven by ego who is a “celebrity-in-chief” who says/does/steps over whatever he used to gain and retain power and believes he is much bigger then he actually is (why else would a man think the US Senate is “beneath him”).

I have said it on many occassions that until we changed our society, were going to have rotten individuals like Obama running the show and it’s only going to get worse. That is why I will bet you a couple of coffee from DD Keith that Obama regrettably will win the election by a very close margin…and instead of being taught a lesson in humility by significally losing support after a momentual win in 2008, he will be more arrogant, more self-center and ideological then ever before. Of course, I am assuming you drink coffee from Dunkin Donuts LOL!

    • Wow. Wonder how this “change for society” will come about? Maybe a lobotomy? Tough deal there….

Agree with the premise it is all about the “me” and instant gratification. The world is broken, no surprise. Always has been….. And certainly the government should play an important, but limited role. With a minor in Philosophy, you better than most should be equipped to understand the difficulty in the pace of change in any large society. The old evolutionary versus revolutionary change argument.

Agree on election outcome – barring a major screwup by either candidate. I hope Keith takes you up on the bet.

      • “Wow. Wonder how this “change for society” will come about? Maybe a lobotomy? Tough deal there”

You honestly expect someone to have a rational discussion when that is your opening line? That alone just proves my point, no reason to talk or even read what else you said!! LOL!

        • @ JustSaying12 – you missed the point, but then, maybe it was a stretch for you… And, no, I do not expect you to offer a rational discussion, so you are free to wander about unencumbered…

          Have a good day.

  4. This administration is a frat house, drunk with power and impotent because of it. Angry and envious that their political “erection” has left them limp and feeling powerless, reduces women to body parts, while using/demeaning the very same parts to further their escapades. They’ve hit the nadir of a one-night stand, simultaneously accusing conservatives that they are waging a war on women, while all along they had no intentions of “respecting her in the morning” and were never going to call her. They found their new
Monica, having dismissed and discharged the original. Hardly matters if it’s Sandra Fluke or Lena Dunham (in video) – there will always be shelters for battered women.

  5. Yes all true. Which makes you want to laugh all the more when you watch Obama doing the serious presidential “thang” by showing his concern for Americans who may be caught up in hurricane Sandra. Especially when we all know that he couldn’t even be bothered to send in re-enforcements to save our people in Benghazi. And then tried to cover it all up.

    • By “draft dodging” you of course mean GW Bush (whos daddy got him a cushy national guard assignment out of harms way) and Mitt Romney (who preferred o live in France rather then toughen it out in Vietnam). Your hypocrisy is mind boggling.

      • From the tone of your blog, it appears that you think of the National Guard as a way of escaping military duty, while The National Guard is in its self military duty (And an honorable duty, as well) The National Guard is one of the two constitutional means of preserving our nation, according th the constitution itself.
“For the security of a free state a well regulated militia, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” If you are not familiar with the U. S. Constitution, this is one of the original Bill of Rights. If you do not know which one, I will not tell you, but rather, I will ask you to read and study the entire Constitution.

        P. S. A well regulated militia is a DIRECT reference to the National Guard.

  6. The ONLY good thing about that video is that it spawned some very funny and clever parodies. I’m w/o internet/cable/power thanks to Sandy so I canKt find them and link them. One done by a male comedian; another, even better, by a woman blogger. Hope someone will find them 4 me.

  7. Keith – I have no idea how old you are, but I am 60. I am not a prude – however, when I saw this ad, there were no words. While I agree with most of what JustSaying 12 has printed – I think there are so many people that are thoroughly disgusted by this White House and whether the polls show it or not – the silent people are just waiting to cast their votes to remove Mr. Obama from the White House. Everything he does and his campaign does is calculated for re-election – but I believe millions have and are seeing through it. Mr. Goodwin’s article about why he is voting for Romney and not Obama pretty much says it all. I am still an eternal optomist and I believe we will prevail – it may not be pretty and it may be close but I believe decent and mature people will speak with their heart knowing full way that this childish behaviour needs to stop. BTW I have had the opportunity to tour both the White House and the West Wing – when I saw the East Room and heard all the history (there is a portrait that was saved from the White House fire) I was aghast that they would do potato sack races there. Absolutely no class.

    • WMP, my utter disgust came when the protesters at the RNC dressed as giant “lady parts” and paraded themselves around. There were picture where they had their small children with them and I could not believe that we live in a society where people think this is acceptable. I am praying every day that our country returns to God and He finds it in His grace to let Romney win this election. Praying for peace and healing to our nation.

  8. Thank you for so poignantly describing the lack of maturity, character, and morality in this administration, Keith. This was the most insulting ad ANY politician has ever endorsed. The left keeps laughing it off, calling those of us who object to it as “pearl clutchers” or “stuck in the 50’s”. This young woman allowed these perverts to exploit her and it was disgusting. Doubt her parents are proud of her performance…

  9. If you believed for a moment that the presidency lost its final traces of dignity by exploiting a young woman – you ain’t see nothing yet until you see what they do to seniors.

    Spotted this at Weasel Zippers

Michael Moore helped us produce this moving, inspirational message from the greatest generation.
P.S. This isn’t safe for work. Not by a lonnnng shot.

    • I found that video to be offensive and insulting.
      Vulgar and profane.

Why is there so much hatred coming from the Dems toward anyone who doesn’t think as they do? The ugliness, the name calling and accusations against people like me and you is just dispiriting. Prominent people who we all recognize feel free to accuse me and you of the most base intentions or evil.

      • Hatred from the Dems…. Oh, from the mouths of…. Wait, that doesn’t work. Not sure what drug of choice may be in play, but I hope it is covered under ObamaCare for you.

Take two whatever, and call your Doctor in the morning… Simply amazing….

    • Sadie – If these really are seniors and not actors made up to look like same, then I’m a monkey’s uncle. I’m 74 years old and feisty enough to speak my mind when it comes to politics but I would never use that language even if I was offered money to do so. Michael Moore is a pig and he must have made this video before he became disenchanted with Obama. Unless he only pretended he was disenchanted. The video is disgusting and degrading to we seniors. Romney/Ryan 2012 will bring dignity back into the White House.

      • Joan, I hadn’t considered the possibility of actors, since everyone affiliated with Obama and the progressives appear to be “acting out” all the time. I am also a senior and to be honest, I’d have no problem cursing him among friends (only) without a SAG card – ahem, that’s the Screen Actors Guild and no personal reference to self. My guess is that they are not actors, but the parents/friends of Moore and his cohorts.

  10. I’m going to say it.
The Obamas have been giving us the bird since he was sworn into office. Their distain for the majesty of our WhiteHouse, the universal respect given to a sitting President and his family, and the convienence or perks provided to them by the taxpayers has been obvious and public.

Because the President represents all of us to the world, we expect a higher level of decorum and an adherence to a set of manners. We expect our FirstLady to act, dress and talk like a lady.
No matter if the President serves one or two terms, the position is temporary and finite. For the length of their term we expect him and his wife to be better than they might be.
When they leave the WhiteHouse they can be as crass as they please.

    • On a side note, did anyone else notice that while Fox and CNN are covering the storm and providing people with information using news anchors, MSNBC is running their lineup of vile pundits? Just another example of how old institutions crumbling (God, family, country, etc) and being replaced NY something else and in this case, politics and political parties.

  11. I know of no other president who has taken his job so unprofessionally!! He is a disgrace to the Office Of The President Of The United States!! He also seem to regard the lives of those who serve under him with the same reckless attitude!! It is beyond me why anyone would take him seriously about anything. It is no wonder why we have so many dead from terrorist attacks under his watch. (Fort Hood, Benghazi) I do pray that God brings us a better humanitarian as a president. Someone who will take their job as serious as the job truly requires. And may we not have to mourn the loss of our citizens, the way we have had to under this president’s watch. There has been too much unnecessary death that this president has left in his wake!

    • Sir/Madam, he takes his job very seriously. He’s been so successful at it he won’t be re-elected. I’d love to see him leave the WH with his tail between his legs, but seriously, I think he’ll have it shampooed and sticking up like a middle finger.

    • Bingo. I still wonder about Breitbart most of all. Then there’s his coroner, the Dem operative in CA, the passport-breachers, the choir members….Whew! Now add four Americans im B”
Benghazi…and the Fort Hood warriors….add all the boys in Afghan who have been
      murdered by their “trainees:….

Is the CA guy framed for the “Youtube video” still in jail? How about George Zimmerman?

  12. Agree with all. This presidency has been appalling, disgusting, offensive, and just plain rude. Our society has become all about me, or what’s in it for me. The next POTUS will have a lot of work to do just trying to bring some class and decorum back to the office.

  13. Friday I was at the bus stop – and for illistrative puposes, let’s say I represented the 1% – and the others were discussing the presidential election. While they didn’t seem too entralled with the current WH resident, their argument for voting for him was if you voted for the challenger, they would all have to be drug tested to continue to receive social benefits. Followed up with “and you know all those taxpayers are dirty!” (read: take drugs). Apparently it wasn’t fair (to them) that benefit receipents were held to a higher standard than the ones paying for their benefits. My point . . . a large number of population really don’t recognize or care that the Presidency loses its final traces of dignity – so long as they don’t have to be accountable.

      • Me too. Waste of a click.
She/he kinda lost me when she/he claimed Mormons exclude Jews from their Christian church. Really strange.
Plus, I know that Black people are Mormons, some of them are Elders.
Is it wrong to point out that “millions of elderly or poor people are going to die” no matter who’s elected? Some rich people will die, too.

        • Srdem65 – Re: Mormons. Your ignorance is on display if you think, believe, posit that Mormons are Christians. Nope. Not even close.

Just btw, I have not nor will I click through to Bakers link or am I supporting the data contained in their post. Did not bother to read through it.

          • As an evangelical, I do not agree with everything that Mormons teach. However, Mormon or not, if a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, they are a Christian. There is a lot about the Catholic church of which I do not agree, but I would never say that they are not a Christian church.

          • @The Original – you are certainly free to hold an opinion as am I. But, with respect to Mormon doctrine, on theological grounds, your facts, and hence your logic and resulting conclusion is inaccurate / patently false.

The foundational Mormon system of stated positions and, more importantly, actions speak to a different outcome – starting with God and Jesus – and just gets more bizarre from there.

This is not a great forum to have this conversation, but dig deeper, please.

    • The same bucket of lies, four times over. Funny thing is, I can actually visualize D. Baker doesn’t even know how to copy and paste, I can imagine D. Baker sat there, mashing away at the keyboard the same semi-literate and incoherent message word for word, once, twice, a third time and then a fourth time.

That alone was funny enough, but then I clicked on D. Baker’s website and I would have to say out of the half-billion websites on the Internet, D. Baker’s website easily makes the top ten in sheer ugliness – absolutely putrid. It makes all those defunct websites of the Geocities Era look slick by comparison.

  15. Do words exist to do justice to this latest action by the Obama Campaign? All I can say is that it shows the clueless depravity of those from whom they are begging votes… shame on any American, who, on seeing this for what it is, votes for Obama.

  16. Touche. Obama has made the presidency into a superficial reality show — no different than Big Brother. However, what I find even more disturbing is the passive acceptance by the professional media. What happened to basic questions: who, what, when, where and why? Keith, you know these people — what the heck is going on?!! What are they doing with their natural intellectual curiosity?

  17. It’s just more proof that he is a classless act. I wonder if he made Michelle and his daughters sit and watch this vile, insensitive video? I wouldn’t put it past him to do so. He has no respect for women. He talks about the Lilly Ledbetter Act yet women employees in the WH are paid less then male employees. His debate coach, Anita Dunn, said it’s a hostile workplace environment for women working in the WH. Obviously he’s totally oblivious to the truth.

  18. perhaps you may have noticed how his eyes show signs of fatigue, illness, right around the eyelids, his face somewhat yellow, he is taking cocaine and in bigger dozes, some assume that the stuff comes from his Choom gang buddy from Hawaii, a fellow who came to see him 28 times, it won’t be long before he has nose bleeding in some public event because he takes too much of the white powder, those who have not seen types who consume a great deal cannot pick the sings easily, but, it is becoming clearer, so when it happens, you;d know what you are looking at. The man is not for winning, he needs to take R&R, he has been partying with hot boys, drugs and some Rock and Roll.

    • Jenny gives me hope for the next generation. This intelligent young lady knows more about the issues involved in this election than RT and D. Baker combined. Thank you for sharing.

  19. Well, I tried to give Obama the benefit of the doubt when he took office, but very shortly he blew that one up. I have not trusted him from very shortly after he took office.

He has used the WH so horribly. I wonder if his staff will remove the “R”s from the computers like the Clinton folks removed the “W”s before Pres. Bush moved into the Oval Office.

    • I am sure our President appreciated your kind act. I suppose you may indeed continue in a state of wonder.

I am sure the history books need the info, so I’ll ask – what heinous act? ObamaCare? Preventing a worse economic cycle bottoming out in a severe depression? Getting us out of Iraq? Building (rebuilding) Global Trust with a new approach to foreign policy? Falling to build bipartisan support with a GOP who is on the record as saying their #1 job is to prevent a 2nd term?

If you want to worry, research what most Christians refer to as a cult – The Governor’s stated religious beliefs. Scary. Simply scary.

      • What a crock. Since when do liberals care about evil, dangerous religions? You all bend over backwards supporting koranimals, but mormons got your knickers all in knots?

And hey, no religious test, right? After all, ovomit is a muslim and they are our sworn enemy. Guess that’s why the prince of liars lied about it.

ovomit has done NOTHING good for this country, NOTHING.

      • RT, I know all about Mormons. I lived in a highly populated Mormon area. I probably know more about what they believe and teach than you do. I do not agree with a lot of what they teach, just like I do not agree with everything the Catholic church teaches. I still respect them. As an evangelical, I will not judge their relationship with Jesus Christ. That is definitely way above my pay grade.

If Obama is a Christian, he needs to make some changes in his actions. As far as I am concerned, true Christians do not support abortion which is the murder of a soul for which Christ died.

        • True Chistians also do not say “There are many paths to Heaven”, as Obama did.

          You can argue whether this or that religion is the “right” one if you like, but if you claim to be a Christian – as Obama does – then you CAN’T argue this;

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. – John 14:6.

This is the biblical word of Christ. If “Christian” has any meaning at all, it would suggest that one is a follower of Christ. Therefore, if Obama believes there are ways into Heaven around Christ Himself, this would suggest that Obama is, uh, not following Christ’s teachings very well…

He’s entitled to any religion he wants to be a part of. He is not, however, entitled to rewrite the Bible to suit himself. That’s WAY, WAAAAY above his pay grade, although I must admit he acts as though it is not.

          • Cincycinco – if you want to believe that The Mormon faith is just one of many ways to heaven and that their doctrine lines up “pretty much” the same as Christians, go for it.

For many, the Mormon doctrine speaks loudly and is a game changer in the voting booth. Your viewpoints on our President are well expressed – at least in terms of what you hold to be of significance.

Not clear what your position is on the Mormon faith. But if you are AOK with human Gods, and the blessed running their own planets, and women holding lessor position and stature and being “chosen” (or left behind) by the male species – fair enough.

          • RT,

I appreciate you as the constant “Devil’s Advocate” on this site. I don’t know if you’re playing the foil, a paid “troll” as some suggest, or sincerely believe as you appear to, but I must say you are usually very well written and fairly logical. I congratulate you on that.

As to the subject at hand, I was not comparing one faith to another or suggesting that any faith or lack thereof is preferable for the office of President, so your feint towards Romney’s Mormanism is beside the point. I am merely pointing out that Obama’s lip service to Christianity while he acts and speaks anything but goes to his ethical and moral compass, which has appeared to point nowhere but straight down as he races to the bottom of the ethics pit, dragging the country with him all the while.

This is one statement of many that crystallizes the image of a man who will profess to a belief system to the extent political convenience dictates, but by his words demonstrates he has no interest in his own supposed beliefs. Why would one say “Christ is my Lord” by calling HIMSELF a Christian, then proceed to defy his self-professed Lord by publicly stating something diametrically opposed to his Lord’s stated word? This man has God, but does not fear him? Or he’s lying about God? It’s says something pretty ugly about him either way.

I would actually be more comfortable with his faith, or lack thereof, if he were to be honest about it. It is not my place to judge him, but it IS my place to consider the apparent morals and ethics of one who would lead based on the available information. If he does not respect God and does not respect the beliefs of many of his constituents, what chance is there that he will respect the laws that are meant to restrict him – or any President – that exist precisely because we are a nation of men, and as such NONE of us can be trusted with absolute power? Very little chance indeed.

I won’t say a lot about Mormanism, because I know little about it. I’m not a liberal, so I don’t pretend to know stuff about stuff I don’t know about. I do know that very similar arguments were made about Catholics prior to Kennedy about how the Pope would run the country if a Catholic sat in the White House. Google “Al Smith” to see how nasty that can be. I believe we can now safely say that Kennedy did not channel Pope John XXIII during his Presidency. I will, however, point out that Morman beliefs in general should no more be a factor in the voting booth than should be the unusual brand of Christianity practiced by the Reverend Jeramiah Wright at Obama’s Trinity United Church. I believe in 2008, most liberals protested any consideration of Obama’s religion as bigotry. Would this not also be true of Romney’s religion? Is not condeming Mormons in general because you do not agree with your perception of their beliefs religous bigotry? Not being a Morman yourself, are you quite certain you know what they truly believe?

If you want to make the litmus test the treatment of women by a specific religion as you seem to, would this then automatically disqualify any Muslim candidate from the Presidency in your eyes? Just curious.

Again, this statement is not about the President’s religion, or the role of religion in Presidental elections. It is about the President’s use of religion for political gain in a way that is demonstrably wrong. Other examples could be cited, this is just one of the most obvious. Any man that would proclaim for God and then proceed to openly defy Him should not be trusted by any other man to be his leader.

  20. It may be your first time voting, but it’s not Obama’s. How many people voted for him last election? You won’t be getting sloppy seconds; you’ll be getting sloppy 60 millionths.

  21. Bravo, Keith! You have struck at the core problem – the moral decay of our culture/society. Never in my lifetime did I think it would go directy from the ‘streets’ to the White House.

This election is about much more than ‘politics’. It is about removing the dope peddler/child predator from the school yard, so to speak. The Obamas’ are insidiously corrupt on every level – they flaunt it in our face every single day. There are no checks and balances. The MSM has adopted the ‘See no evil; Hear no evil; Speak no evil’ attitude of complacency. Those of us who express outrage are labeled ‘racists’.

Obama has brought a new dimension to politics with the disgusting ad – soft porn! No wonder he and Bubba are such a good team – the ‘blue dress’
    and ‘the first time’.

    Seven more days!!!

    • Girly1 – while I write off 90% of what you say as grossly inaccurate, half-backed, and or borderline phobia, I support your position that our world is broken and uncertainty and risk are here to stay. I understand, most folks on this blog likely hold the same viewpoint regarding my posts. Nonetheless, we find common ground on the “what’s broke.” Just not the fix…

History has well taught the educated where this is heading….(not meant to suggest College educated but more broadly as “well read” folks).

      • Where are Obama’s checks and balances? If Congress doesn’t do what he wants, he just uses an Executive Order. My unchecked fiats he has changed much of our country. Thankfully, as easily as it was for him to sign his name to an Executive Order, President Romney can undo them with a signture.

  22. Both Obama’s have plumbed the depths of inappropriate behavior and lack of
respect for the office and the people’s house since day one. Their four years will be historic but none for the right reasons. I still remember ‘all this for a flag’
and the sack races. Sad but the damage they’ve done will takes years to
make right again. We must rid ourselves of these two people who have never
had any interest in us just themselves and the whole country suffered.

  23. Thank you for highlighting this travesty in the oval office. The media has completely failed to cover what is obvious to most decent people who have respect for the office of President and also for themselves. Mitt Romney may not be everything to everyone as he shouldn’t be, but he is surely someone with integrity, intelligence, and a work ethic that is needed at this time.

  24. Well with this innuendo ad, Obama has actually created a far different issue than the obvious one mentioned here. You see, this ad is actually discriminatory against gay folks – because this is clearly targeted only for straight women. This ad, in and of itself, is not a problem, but it does require a follow up in order to cover all the targeted demographics fairly. Specifically, in order not to offend gay males, an analogous commercial needs to be cut immediately – perhaps featuring T.R. Knight or someone of his caliber. Sean Hayes may also be a good choice. The Obama campaign likely did not realize this need and resulting faux pas in advance, but can probably react quickly enough to avoid angering this key bloc of supporters by claiming that the ad production was serialized and blaming it on their electorate micro-segmentation strategy… This still may raise the ire of the lesbian community, but the Obama campaign is on their own for a corollary to that bloc. Unless, of course, they can pull in Janet Napolitano or Elena Kagan – but that may be a bridge too far.

  25. First at the Demoncratic convection when it took 3 votes just to amend the parties Statement of purpose or ideals to have God inserted in And the Crowd Booed and Yelled NO GOD NO GOD NO GOD and now this

  26. This advertisement is a huge slam to women. I was amazed the Liberal Progressives sunk this low when Obama is desperate for the female vote.

  27. The part they leave out is, “Once you’ve given your vote virginity to Obama, you’ll feel so good, you’ll want to do it again…and again…and again! And, ladies, here’s the BEST part! Though constant obstruction of any sensible voter identification, WE’VE MADE THAT POSSIBLE!”

“So get your game on, girls. Give it up to Obama all over town! Don’t worry, he’ll respect you the same on the 7th as he does right now! And, he’ll leave a little something on the nightstand for you! Phones, homes, food, contraceptives, even flushing the results of any of your “passion accidents” down the drain – it’s all YOURS, all from OBAMA! Daddy O takes care of HIS ladies!”

Of course, its with OUR money Obama keeps his “stable”, but hey, as long as the gals get theirs, what do they care where it comes from?

  28. Above all else – let’s not forget that the man who approved the ad is the father if two young daughters. How does he explain what the ad means to them.

  29. I finally broke down and watched this video. Oh. My. God. Thanks, Keith. I’ll need about 3 showers to get the crud off. The scary part is this will actually convince some tiny fraction of clueless dolts to vote. You are spot on, though; in almost everything he says or does, Obama diminishes the presidency. It’s by design, too.

  30. Do young women really go on about a sweet-talkin’, skinny 50-yr-old with big ears? Do they really think the Lily Ledbetter Act ensured equal pay–why it doesn’t even at the WH. Were we ever this young and uninformed, not to mention tacky and used?
