I lived near Kingsmill and the people who live in that gated community have had to wait 45 min to an hour to clear security to get into the place where they live all because of him….I hope that changes a bunch of voters who had planned to vote for him. He is so selfish. Today he went to the local campaign office and took the workers pizza (which I’m sure someone else paid for, ah….like you and me) and then made some phone calls from their phone bank. I’m sure he will put in an appearance at Wm and Mary too since that is loaded with students whose minds are maleable enough to be impregnated with his lies. November 6th can’t come soon enough for me.

Also, I wonder how much this is costing the US taxpayer? Instead of going to Camp David or just plain staying at home in the WH, he has to venture out to a elaborate resort overlooking the James River to practice his lies.

Just wondering; Domino’s or Pizza Hut? just kidding. Maybe he’s thinking about his future…pizza delivery guy is a good job for those with no marketable skills.

If I got a phone call from someone who said he was Barack Obama, I would reply that he had reached the Romney campaign phone bank.

That would be a great comeback, srdem. I’m curious whether they closed the resort to the hoi polloi for his visit.

JP – he’d never submit to Camp David – he wouldn’t get any “face time” on tv. Saw clip of him today delivering pizza and “pretending” to man (?) phones.

Same stunt he pulled in Las Vegas, Sadie. Wonder if it ever occurred to him that Americans would prefer to know that their President is toiling away at the office every day – not delivering pizza. Can’t recall any President in my lifetime ever, ever going to ‘debate camp’ at high-priced resorts. If he loses his lifestyle of the rich and famous next month, he’s going to have to go into a posh Rehab Center to treat his withdrawal depression. It’s all going to be over in the blink of an eye.

On March 1, 2009 WaPo published an ominous glimpse of things to come with this look at Obama’s life inside/outside the WH after only six weeks in office:

…..”As a senator, Obama complained Washington felt “status-conscious” and “artificial.” He promised during the presidential campaign that he would travel outside the capital for a regular dose of perspective. As Obama tried to sell his economic recovery package, he made more trips outside Washington in his first month than any of the past five presidents.”

“Advisers said Obama will continue to board Air Force One every week, for reasons both political and psychological. His only caveat is that an effort be made to get him home in time for dinner.”

It’s more of the same… i am the only one that matters and every thing is paid for on my super welfare card.

Good point. Who is covering the expense of this 4 day vacation a a luxury resort? I agree. He should have gone to Camp David. Then he wouldn’t have had to use Air Force one twice.

But if he stayed in the White House, he might actually have to be home for dinner with his children

What’s the golf course like where he is?

Reply

Chas October 14, 2012 at 9:56 pm

Fantastic golf course there, I bet he has his clubs along…

Reply

DeniseVB October 14, 2012 at 10:32 pm

3 golf courses there. Hmmmm, 3 days, coincidence ? :D

Could be a strategy to “rest” him so he’s sharper on Tuesday?

He’s so inconsiderate of regular citizens, even well-to-do ones who live in gated communities. We’re so glad he’s never bothered to visit our part of Georgia, although if a member had invited him to play Augusta National, I’m sure we’d have been inconvenienced as well.

I wonder if he’ll actually pay any attention to his daily briefing, which he could have easily gotten at Camp David.

Does part of the debate prep include sodium phosphate and thiopental sodium – I reckon it’s the only way to flush out the b.s. and hear the truth at the same time.

Shofar October 14, 2012 at 11:40 pm

Sadie –

If he takes the sodium phosphate, maybe he’ll finally be able to get his head unstuck from his rear.

He can then GoLYTELY® into that dark good night of obscurity.

I’m glad he’s there, shows he’s not really preparing for this crucial debate coming up. People ARE paying attention and a little bit get chipped away each time now that he does crap like this. I predict he’ll be a nasty little man this tuesday who is totally unprepared for the voters questions.

I just read on Mediate that Gallup is picking the questioners for the town hall style meeting. I’m just wondering if Obama knows what they are and why he’s taking such a relaxed approached to “Debate Boot’n'Golf Camp” ?

Sorry, Obama’s made me such a skeptic. I think Romney’s prepared for anything thrown at him as Obama still has his record to defend.

Mrs Compton October 15, 2012 at 10:02 am

Wouldn’t put it past them to bully them into getting the questions. Like you, nothing surprises me any more. I feel like I’m living a John Gresham novel.

I read a story this morning I have to tell you about. I found it on “Hillbuzz”,
“Have you heard the story of Mitt Romneys Park City, Utah home” . The Prewitt couple, who bought this house, write about their dealings with Romney on an every day basis, with many details. The impression you get of Romney is that he is such a down to earth, practical, thrifty, decent and friendly man. The US was built by men and women like him, I believe.

Just2old October 15, 2012 at 7:05 am

According to his sons, he’s very frugal. I remember during the primaries seeing a picture of he and Ann washing their clothes in the hotel laundry room. I can’t see the current preezy doing that. That would be way beneath him!

Swedishlady October 15, 2012 at 9:30 am

Just2old, I think frugality is a great trait in a leader. I am sure there will be no more excessive luxurious parties with rappers, moviestars and basketballplayers in the White House when the Romneys move in.
I believe Ann Romney has better ideas for an entertaining evening at the White House.

Mrs Compton October 15, 2012 at 10:06 am

I can’t wait the President to spend Christmas at the Whitehouse again and vacation at Camp David. The Romney family is gonna love Camp David.

“Debate Camp” LMAO I can see Little Barry walking around with a Camp tee, hat and little backpack, doing his lessons, exercises. Maybe a nap or Quiet Time after lunch………….sickening

Swedishlady October 15, 2012 at 9:21 am

Yes RickW, I can imagine that picture too. This president is in an odd way held up against a lower bar of expectations, like he was an unexperienced beginner. Odd that he after four years has to prepare like this. Impossible to imagine earlier presidents this way, even though they prepared for debates too. There is something so inmature about this fellow.

Just2old October 15, 2012 at 9:21 am

I don’t recall past incumbent presidents having to “prep” for debates. Or, if they did, they did it in the WH or Camp David….correct me if I’m wrong.

RickW October 15, 2012 at 9:36 am

The only thing I can think of is that this is some technique to stir up emotion among the followers, like the Rocky movie (I forget which one, there WERE so many!) when he went to that farm in Russia to train, no distractions, etc. Unfortunately, POTUS cannot play a Hollywood role like that, given the issues facing our country and the world…….At least I did not THINK he could….but he seems to be.

Not with 3 golf courses nearby and a shopping district for the missus!

I’ve been trying to find out where past Presidents have gone, for my own personal debate with people. The only info I can find is that in 1996 Clinton went to Chataque Lake in NY state. Other than that,I don’t see any info. At least when he went the economy wasnt in the crapper. Anybody else have info on Preidents going to resorts to prep?

“When times are tough, you tighten your belts. You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college. You prioritize. You make tough choices.” ~ pResident Barack Hussein Obama, Nashua High School North, Nashua, NH, Feb 2, 2010

Not much belt tightening going on among the grifters, but then he was talking about us doin’ the sacrificin’, not him and his cronies…

Shame on you, Susan! (jk) Personally, I always prepare for my debates at a millionaires’ resort with a Ferrari Concours event outside MY window! It helps me better understand the economy……….

Just for the record – I got to work this morning at 7:30am and I am still at work at 5:30pm – will probably be here for another hour at least finishing up projects. My husband is working his long shift today – 9am to 10pm. I don’t have the heart to tell you what we make combined in a year – or how much the value of our house has declined in the last 3 years- or how hard we work every month to pay off my student loans while saving for my husband’s graduate school.

Mr. President – you are an embarrassment to hardworking Americans. You have never had to work like we have and you exhibit everything in the entitlement mindset that I despise. I can not wait to vote against you in 22 days.
