Obama Prepared to Attack Ryan

by Keith Koffler on August 11, 2012, 10:09 am

The Obama campaign today announced that it is primed to begin taking apart Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, who was named by Mitt Romney today to be his vice presidential running mate.

In an email to supporters, Obama campaign manager Jim Messina indicated the Obama campaign will immediately go negative in an attempt to define Paul Ryan before Ryan gets to define himself for the nation.

Over the next few days, Romney’s campaign and its allies will tell a very different story about Paul Ryan.

Our job is to make sure Americans know the truth about what Romney’s choice says about him as a candidate and leader.

Messina offered up a flavor of what’s to come, attacking the House Republican budget authored by Ryan as a “radical” document aimed at assisting the rich.

Congressman Paul Ryan is best known as the author of a budget so radical The New York Times called it “the most extreme budget plan passed by a House of Congress in modern times.” With Mitt Romney’s support, Ryan would end Medicare as we know it and slash the investments we need to keep our economy growing — all while cutting taxes for those at the very top.

The Obama campaign has spent weeks lodging similar attacks – some far more personal in nature – against Romney himself.

I really, truly try not to hate anyone, but the Obama crew is making this very difficult. I am delighted with Mitt’s choice for a VP. Pass the popcorn for the debate between Paul Ryan and Bozo Joe!

Agreed…what ever happened to Joe Biden? I assume he’s under armed guard somewhere. Can you imagine how nervous team obama is thinking about a debate between Paul and Joe.

I agree pianogirl. These are NOT nice people. I hope double r understands this is going to be a street fight. Asking for an apology isn’t going to cut it with this crew of liberals. We know they will do anything, say anything, stop at nothing. Only a fool would be surprised when they lie, cheat, and steal. Now I’m not rooting for a dirty campaign, but like Patton said, “…you win by making the other guy die for his country.” Hope Romney or Ryan has read up on some Sun Tzu. The bein nice and comity routine is not a winning strategy.

Or another logo could be VOTE FOR R AND R, because we all need a little rest and relaxation after this election.

Their true colors will continue to come out. I’m hoping that the American people are smarter than to believe grandma is going over the cliff.

Maybe the R/R tax plan WILL tax a small percentage of those uber-rich, wealthy, top tier tax dodgers…athletes, movie stars, Hollywood producers and left wing radical PAC donors. This sounds like a plan that is long overdue, plus it would keep considerable sums of money out of the Obama campaign dirt slinging coffers.

LOL – The “Obama” Campaign wants to make sure America knows the truth about a candidate.

They had a chance to add some class and return some respect to this election by simply pointing out that the differences between the two on issues will be the choice America has to make in November.
They could have said that they look forward to showing that their point of view and agenda is best. Period.

But, nooooooo, they come out swinging, slashing and cutting. Gutter politics.

But that’s what their base wants….nasty, gutter politics. You only need to look at the occupy crowd, the pictures of gay parades in San Francisco, NYC, anywhere they have those, to know that we are not playing with those who have the best interests of this country at heart. You look at how they can utter garbage from their mouths (Harry Reid, for one) and they aren’t chastised by those who should be the watch dogs of things political in this country.

Personal attacks are all these jackals have. Bring it on losers. Paul Ryan will run circles around ol’ Joe. This election is going to be a rout for ‘America’s Comeback Team’.

It has been said that Ryan lives rent free in Obama’s head. If so,it won’t take long to get under Obama’s thin skin.

Still laughing, that was great. Saw the clip of Ryan taking it to Barry at the healthcare roundtable. Barry does not like to be questioned or challenged, after all he is the Dear Leader.

The Democrats came out swinging. The Democrats are claiming Ryan will kill Medicare. I claim the Democrats will kill Medicare and everything else when they bankrupt the country with their wild spending. When Obama started the debt was 30% of GNP. Now it is 70% and headed higher.

I am pleased to see that today Drudge posted Ryan’s taking apart Obamacare at the Blair House health care discussions.

Politico’s Jonathan Martin already ran a hit peice on Ryan questioning his experience with such gems as only working entry level jobs in high school and part-time Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile driver in college. Really? That’s all they got? LOL.

“With Mitt Romney’s support, Ryan would end Medicare as we know it and slash the investments we need to keep our economy growing.”

The need to end Medicare as we know is essential for the survival of Medicare. Just as reform needs to be done with Social Security/SSD. The system is unsustainable, and the fraud in both systems is rampant. Review, revitalize and revamp the systems that were put into place to protect the most vulnerable from economic disaster.

A society will be judged by history on how well it took care of its most vulnerable and weakest of citizens, but a society that allows any and everyone to take advantage of and become beholden to the government will not last.

As to the slashing of investment, what investments? Green technology? Getting the Navy to go green at a cost of $26 p/gal vs. $3.60 p/gal? The multiple failures of solar energy companies that were backed by the government? The “investment” in GM that saved the company from standard bankruptcy, and the government’s 79% increase in buying GM vehicles, thus shoring up GM sales at a cost to the taxpayer (again). With these kinds of “investments” it is time to slash, because we can’t afford what these investments will bring.

My least favorite “reporter”, and I use that term loosely, Chuck Todd, had nothing NOTHING but negative Tweets as the announcement was being made. And for the heck of it, I watched the coverage on NBC. Brian Williams LAUGHED out loud when Romney misspoke and introduced Ryan as the next President. Talk about NO CLASS. NBC is all about mockery. No honest reporting. I have to wonder if that’s part of Romney’s thinking in choosing today for the announcement – he KNOWS that both NBC and MSNBC have previous commitments for Olympics airtime so no chance for them to go on and on about Ryan.

I quit watching NBC news about a year ago and never watched ABC, CBS or CNN Just could no longer stand to see or hear Toad, Mitchell, or Williams with their bias. They did not even really try to hide it, very overt at times, sometimes very subtle. MSNBC is just a joke, barely worth mentioning. It is sad that all of them have abandoned any pretense of neutrality and become a mouthpiece for Obama brand gutter politics and socialist policies.

I do miss seeing Lester Holt, I thought he was the least biased and a very good presenter.
