As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

“What? He said, ‘The private sector is doing fine?’ What’s the protocol here – do I write him a thank you card?”

– Mitt Romney

  1. Oh yes Mitt Romney, please rub it in.
I just watched Romneys new campaign video here, very effective. Romney now emerges as the problemsolving businessman with a sterling reputation ( Bill Clintons words ) in the private sector, a man who can and will deal with ordinary peoples problems in an efficient way. And Obama ? Well, he associates with people like the horrible snob Anna Wintour and the superficial shopaholic Sarah Jessica Parker. He couldnĀ“t be bothered with “the little people”. Right now he looks like a loser but I am worrying about some “Wag the dog” spectacle that he and his gang might be cooking up to shift the attention from the economy. And like you here I suspect that he might pick a new VP. But the dangerous Mrs Clinton looks and acts very tired, could she really be interested ? Who else do you and fellow journalists speculate about, Keith ?

  2. This may not be a real quote but it makes me feel good to think of a person who hopes to be President actually ask about protocol. We’ve had more than a few screw ups in that area recently by the current POTUS.
