Biden: Obama’s had it Tougher Than FDR

by Keith Koffler on March 30, 2012, 11:35 am

Vice President Biden today offered up more evidence that the White House has relocated to dream world and taken up residence for the remainder of the year, stating that President Obama has faced down worse problems than any president in the 20th century, including Franklin Roosevelt.

Never mind that Roosevelt was confronted with the Depression and fought simultaneous total wars in Asia and Euyrope, while Obama is merely managing our retreat from Afghanistan after having completed it in Iraq.

And things are bad, but we haven’t had bread lines yet.

The Cuban Missile Crisis and the 9/11 attacks were for sissies, it seems.

From ABC News:

“I’ve watched him make decisions that would make another man or woman’s hair curl,” Biden told the crowd of 150 inside the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee, according to a pool reporter on scene.

Biden, who has said he’s the last man in the room with Obama before a tough call, often attests that his boss has a “backbone like a ramrod.”

And today he said that mettle — and the “serious problems” Obama faced upon taking office — put the president in a class of his own.

“I think I can say … no president, and I would argue in the 20th century and including now the 21st century, has had as many serious problems which are cases of first-instance laid on his table,” Biden said. “Franklin Roosevelt faced more dire consequences, but in a bizarre way it was more straightforward.”

The vice president claimed that the complexity of the 2008 financial crisis presented challenges in a way the Great Depression of 80 years ago did not.

Wait a second. This also – I’m sure it’s just a mistake – but it kind of leaves aside whether Obama has SUCCEEDED AT ALL IN ACTUALLY SOLVING the problems he has faced. It’s enough, it seems, just to have had to deal with them.

For a bunch of people who think they’re as smart and tough as it gets, they sure do whine a lot.

All this tough decisionmaking (checking off multiple choice sheets prepared by people with grasp of the issues) was when now–between golf games and rubber chicken dins?

One reason, just one, that the o has it tougher than FDR, is Joey.

Makes you wonder how Barry made the decision to have this fool as his VP?

Simple,…Obama wanted somebody that he could control.
Biden is a dunce, and was grasping at any degree of power he could attain.
Obama does not like to be confronted, his ego won’t take it.
Biden is nothing more than a lap dog, a liberal lackey, an Obot.
Someones opinion of a vice president.
An embarrassment to the United States of America.

Somewhere I read that the DNC thinking was that Biden is so bad that as VP he was the greatest insurance policy against impeachment of the o.

The toughest, most bravest decision ever made by a modern President and one that carries consequenses for all of mankind, it was PresidentTruman’s decision to unleash the nuclear bomb in Japan. By all accounts, he was a decent man whose sorrow over the immense loss of life and what he unleashed into our world wearied him until the day he died.

As for MrO’s decisions to solve the financial problems by throwing our money to the very people who caused the impending disaster, they only show a short-sighted and desperate wish to make them go-away.
We’ll never know if “mortagage vouchers” used by homeowners would have saved the lenders, or if GM went bankrupt and had to reoganize would have made the company more efficient, or if the trillion dollars thrown out to political cronies and the unions have made a difference in our overall economy.

I’ll just believe that he means well and thinks he’s helping.

Any questions about the 2008 ticket are summed up below.

Vice President Joe Biden offered a frank assessment of his career in remarks at a Democratic fundraiser in Chicago Thursday night. According to a White House pool report, Biden, surrounded by the city’s movers and shakers, praised former Mayor Richard M. Daley and then said: “I never had an interest in being a mayor ’cause that’s a real job. You have to produce. That’s why I was able to be a senator for 36 years.”

I agree, anyone that has been in congress over twenty years should be voted out,…period !
By doing that, we can send a powerful message to the ones that are not eligible for re-election, ie. members of the senate.
Time to take our Country back.
This election is critical to the survival of our Country.
Hopefully, it will not be wasted.

When FDR took office in 1933, the great Depression was in full swing. When Obama took office in 2009, he turned a Recession into a Depression.

FDR carried a big stick; Obama carries a white flag

FDR had food lines; Obama hands out plastic WIC cards

If only they (Biden, MOOshelle and Obama) could figure out a way to superimpose the two faces of Barack Obama on the chiseled face of FDR on Mt. Rushmore….. stay tuned!

Does Biden have a man-crush on this guy? Obama is great at consuming obscene amounts of lobster tails.
Best…President…Ever?…James Polk or John Adams. Polk-Doubled the size of the US Territory without a major war, John Adams for starting the Navy, started the building of the White House, avoided war with France and, wait for it…left the US Treasury Full.
Memo to Biden: read your history.

A$$hole.

ga.

Biden’s bs used to be amusing, but now it’s just insulting. Of course, not to be rivaled, Jerry Brown said something pretty effen stupid:

Brown also defended calling his proposal a “millionaires tax” on his initiative campaign website, even though the income threshold would be $250,000.

“Anybody who makes $250,000 becomes a millionaire very quickly if you save it. You just need four years,” Brown said. “It is a millionaires tax. It taxes millionaires, right? And it’s for schools. And it protects public safety.”

These people are morons.

He watches so much ESPN, no doubt he calls the shots on what commercials are allowed to run on the channel. No problem running non-stop Barackatology spots, but it is verboten on his sports channel to air any non-partisan get out the vote spots by Christian race car drivers…

I will say that he does have a lot of guts, to trash the constitution the way he does. Especially with so many real human beings around that love freedom and have a willingness to die for it.

And I see where Dr. Pepper says he never ran for mayor because that was work and he just had to spend 36 years in the US Senate.

“I’ve watched him make decisions that would make another man or woman’s hair curl,” Biden told the crowd ….”

What is it with these people who sit around and gaze at The One all the time? Michelle claims to do it, now Biden, and I’m sure I remember others speaking of times of rapture when they looked upon the greatness of the greatest mind ever as it roiled or moiled or whatever within the godlike head of The One.
