Carney Reels in “Lying” Reference to Gingrich

by Keith Koffler on March 13, 2012, 1:45 pm

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney today acknowledged that he went too far Monday when he said anybody who suggests a strategy exists to reduce gas prices to $2.50 a gallon was “lying.”

Carney was clearly referring to Newt Gingrich, who has been repeating up and down the campaign trail that he can reduce gas prices to just that level.

Carney’s┬ábreach of political etiquette occurred during the regular briefing for reporters. At today’s briefing he amended his remarks.

“I should have said, anybody who says that doesn’t know what they’re talking about,” Carney said.

The White House and President Obama have for more than a year called for more “civility” in politics.

OK, then. ol’Newt isn’t a liar, he’s just stupid.
Memo to Jay: You can’t dig your way out of a ditch.

“Civility” to the White House = Pravda. Carney is nothing more than the progressive version of the supreme Soviet, replicating (in cutesy neo-speak) the latest talking points from Mr. Obama, provisioning the liberal, neo-Marxist main stream media. Nothing more. Mr. Carney is a good looking, clean-smelling, efficient, uber-liberal with just enough acumen to “lie” himself, something he does quite well.

JJ is so pathetic…I can not watch a news briefing.

Poor Baghdad Bob Carney…he was just doing the master’s bidding and it backfired. He gets all the blame for another one of Obama’s misspeaks. Didn’t Obama tell a reporter yesterday that $2.50 gas was a lie?

A Pathological liar is described as “the behavior of compulsive or habitual lying”. A recent study found 40% of cases report central nervous system
abnormalities. Their “stories” tend toward presenting the liar favorably. For example, the person might be presented being fantastically brave or super intelligent. Its considered a mental illness, because it takes over rational judgement and progresses into fantasy and back..

Sounds like we have a pandemic in the WH. huh?

Civility in the Obama administration means calling someone an SOB hoping that they do not respond. If they do respond, the stooges will remark in a snarky, condescending way the SOB doesn’t know what they are talking about. After all, there is difficulty in having civility in the Obama administration with all the corruption, lobbying, vote buying, trip taking, fund raising, fear mongering, class warfare, belittling the armed forces, phoning Anita Dunn’s client, basketball, fund raising, Michelle’s vacations, protecting his kids by using them in campaign rhetoric, fund raising and other despicable efforts masquerading as a presidential administration. Did I mention fund raising?

No one ever lies in politics, they just “don’t tell the truth”.
