You have to feel sorry for all the college kids who are hoping to go to the basketball game, and now they are going to be subjected to major searches to keep the POtuS and the British PM safe.
It’s worse than that. He, surprise, surprise, will be interviewed on National tv for the halftime show. Maybe he’ll say that Mississippi Valley State, the lower seed, punches above their weight.

I remember my liberal friends mocking George Bush as an idiot cowboy who was an embarrassment to our European allies. After watching that video, it’s pretty obvious Europe has even less respect for us now than they did back then…even with the silver-tongued demagogue in the office.
The Dane who posted the video took issue with my calling Obama not that smart. I took issue with his taking issue. Apparently, he didn’t think the video made Obama look bad. I guess the poster is suffering from a language barrier or worse.
Please let the Dane know that we will have semi-royalty that we’ll be happy to send his way come noon-ish on January 20, 2013. They won’t need much ~ just their own castle, staff, and fancy cars to haul them wherever they want to go. I’ll chip in a $ or two to give them a nice send-off party.

Poor Cameron for having to go to Dayton with the POTUS. He’ll be stuck until Obama is ready to leave. That’s one of the downsides to “carpooling.”

Like EVERYTHING Dear Leader does, this too will backfire.
Not only will game traffic be made expotentially worse, security will add HOURS of total and complete INCONVENIENCE to all the “little” people in attendance. Hours that equal work and class time lost; money that has to be paid out for an “extra” meal that you will need after standing in line for three or four hours. And this is an event crowd that was/is highly motivated to JUST watch the game…instead they now are treated to the Obama Campaign Show.
I KNOW they will boo his ar$e….and CBS True Network will have to live edit the boos. All for the narcissism of one man.
Update–two sports minded friends (who Facebook and NEVER post political stuff) are fuming about the “changes” being made to gate times (remember this is a 6:30 pm, Eastern time, start). Oh yeah…the backlash against Dear Leader is starting.

How about the cost of this? It has to be a couple of hours on AF One. All told, it will cost the American taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I truly believe that Obama does these things just because he can. There is no thought as to his guest’s preferences or the appearance of this to the thinking American electorate.
On the local radio station (WMAL) this morning, they were estimating that just the time for AF1 would be well over $300,000, and that doesn’t count the cost of the ‘copter that takes him to and from AAFB to get to AF1. The cost of extra security, plus the cost of getting the numerous limos to Ohio is not included in that guesstimate, so deniro’s guess of $1mil. for this little jaunt is probably not far off. Oh, and the knee pads for the members of the alphabets isn’t included in this figure, either.
