I didn’t really watch the whole debate–it was my backup channel for commercials on another channel–but someone mentioned creating new markets for US products–I wonder if that will be discussed. I also wonder what business leaders actually fly in and fritter away a day being a prop in these roundtables, the president playing Socrates. I would find it unbearable…
I wonder how many jobs could be created if the money sucked out of the private sector to pay for the “Council on Jobs and Competitiveness” had stayed in the private sector.

He’s not a morning person is he? Meeting with “senior advisers” sounds like a campaign meeting to me. Council on Jobs are probably union leaders, more campaign chat. Biden lunch, what possibly do they have to talk about? Oh and meet a King! Photo op! World Series champs, more photo op. Then poor Panetta gets dragged in during DC rush hour…probably to plan more photo ops with troops.
No fundraisers today?
But then, he’s not an ‘evening person’ either, is he…unless there’s some extravagant party on the books?
