As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Obama Fundraisers Complicate Xmas Tree Lighting

Obama will be holding a three fundraisers in Manhattan today including one at a hotel a couple of blocks from Rockefeller Center, where the annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremonies will be in full swing.

And Donald Trump is not too happy about it.

“We have a problem!”

What’s going on with his hair now, BTW? Looks like it’s kind of combed forward in sort of a Nouveau-Madman style.

Look how outraged he’s trying to appear. Boy, I’ll bet he misses running for president. Maybe he really will run an independent campaign.

  1. Ha, I love it! (even though I am always distracted by Trump’s very off hair).

Trump said it was one fundraiser, but BHO will actually be at THREE fundraisers in NYC between 6 and 9PM today.

I just left some comments on the post below with BHO’s lazy ass schedule for today (starting at NOON), and I mentioned how I would just LOVE for someone to discuss his schedule publicly and bring it to the attention of the American people. Trump would be the perfect person to do that. I often mention BHO’s schedule to people and they are shocked to hear that he begins his days at 9:45, 10:30, noon. I just wish more people were aware of that. He’s a lazy POS who never worked a real job a day in his life, so this is pretty much what I expected with him.

Keith, I would SO love to see a post some time comparing a few typical BHO days to some of GWB’s and of Clinton’s.

  2. Good for Mr. Trump. About time somebody called Obama on his disregard for our American traditions. Heard yesterday that Mr. Trump isn’t the only one who is considering an independent run. Mr. Huntsman is talking about it as well. If that happens, I’m thinking Mr. Huntsman will pull more votes away from the pompous serial campaigner than he will from the Republican nominee…

  3. As darkness falls throughout this country, few are able to shed light on the dying fire. Obama has impeded the productive to concentrate on the indolent, lazy and blood suckers of society, his people. Trump sees Obama and his minions for what they are, people who wanted to reweave the fabric of this country. Perhaps he will step upto the plate and make a commitment to undo the damage.

  4. He is the Messiah why should he let a tree get in the way of some money.
Besides it’s just a tree no big deal they even made he and MO put one up at
the WH but as they will be in Hawaii they won’t have to look at it such a bother
he will have to make another address on Christmas some deal trying to omit
    God out of that speech!

  5. Trump is absolutely correct – and the ONLY one who has the guts to tell it like it is! Obama is a boorish plunderer who thinks only of himself. As Trump says…’Obama is not the person (you) think he is!’ He’s actually WORSE than anything imaginable!

I wholeheartedly agree with SnarkEsq,…..someone needs to expose this poseur’s daily calender so that every American can see for themselves how we are being duped! Trump could perform a heroic public service if he chose to undertake this task! Obama is the laziest SOB that ever existed in the world of politics – how did he ever end up in the Big White???

The CBO/GAO should confiscate his campaign war chest – and donate it to the govt. to pay down the national debt! It’s illegal booty!

  6. Our little megalomaniac strikes again….it’s all about him, not the little people.

Yet another campaign speech delivered at a high school ….guess those kids are the only ones not yet fully aware of what a fraud and failure he is.

    • He goes to the high schools only because it’s a captive audience. When he runs out of schools, he’ll have to give his lame speeches at prisons.

      • The X has been a symbol for Christ since Roman times. And in Greek the Chi superimposed over the Rho has been used just as long. It has been used in the English language for at least 1000 year. And for what it is worth, Christmas is a contraction, too. It means Christ’s Mass.

  7. Complicates? That’s a bit mild. He’ll be at three different locations all while people will be trying to get to Rockefeller Center. I wonder how many will miss the lighting just because they’r in subways, buses, or taxis that can’t get through. If it was me I’d send the bill for all my expenses to the White House for reimbursement.

  8. Not that I wish anyone to be caught up in the horrible traffic jam, but I hope they’ll remember it next year when it’s time to vote.

As for Obama’s schedule, I posted a link in response to Snark in the daily schedule. I’m not having much luck finding archives for Bush, but I do remember him starting the day off early. This article mentions that Obama starts the day at 9am, two hours later than Bush. It also mentions how Obama kept the White House warm enough to grow orchids, because he doesn’t like the cold.

    • He RARELY starts the day at 9am! I’ve been watching his schedule for years and it seems to me that just about a year ago, around the midterm elections of 2010, he started coming in later and later, because the poor baby was doing campaign traveling. Ever since then, 9am is the rare early start time for him. More often, 9:30 is his “early” time, or 9:45, and he very frequently comes in at 10 to 11 am. He seems to often use the excuse of traveling every damn week on fake Presidential business/campaign events to start late.

By Tuesday evening, most Americans have put in more hours at the office than this bozo does in a full week.

    • AZ Granny – I totally remember that NY Times article from the beginning of his term. In the very beginning, he began around 9 am, but that got later and later, and definitely ended by fall of 2010.

I also remember all the talk during the GWB years about how he started so early (as the article states, 7 am), but he didn’t have late evenings and the Bushes weren’t ones to go out to dinner or have a lot of evening events at The White House. The liberal media mocked GWB as sort of an old, boring guy, comparing him to Bubba’s party years.

I remember this part of the article:

“Although his presidency is barely a week old, some of Mr. Obama’s work habits are already becoming clear. He shows up at the Oval Office shortly before 9 in the morning, roughly two hours later than his early-to-bed, early-to-rise predecessor. Mr. Obama likes to have his workout — weights and cardio — first thing in the morning, at 6:45. (Mr. Bush slipped away to exercise midday.)

He reads several papers, eats breakfast with his family and helps pack his daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, off to school before making the 30-second commute downstairs — a definite perk for a man trying to balance work and family life. He eats dinner with his family, then often returns to work; aides have seen him in the Oval Office as late as 10 p.m., reading briefing papers for the next day.”

That annoyed me back then and it annoys me now. What CRAP! He came into office during a complete economic crisis, and even if that weren’t the case, do we really want to hear how easy and family friendly the schedule is for any POTUS? Give me a flipping break!

How many parents, or dads, get to have breakfast with the kids and send them off to school, and get to enjoy a family dinner at a reasonable hour? My husband leaves the house at 6:20 every day and the EARLIEST he gets home is 7:40 every evening. More than half the time, he’s not in until shortly after 9 PM. The kids stay up later than we’d like just so they can see him. And yes, my husband and I eat dinner anywhere between 8 PM and 9:30. When I was growing up, my dad left so early every morning and came home so late every night that we didn’t even get to see him until Saturday morning. The poor guy probably just wanted to sleep in, but we kids bounced into his room first thing every Saturday, so excited to see him, and we were glued to him all weekend. Who knew that being POTUS is the most cushy, family-friendly job in America?

      • Yes, that article is crap and it annoyed me then and now too. In his first week Obama may have been on time for meetings but now he’s late for everything. Our family situation was similar to yours, my husband worked long hours too and didn’t have much time with the kids. I imagine it’s a similar scenario all across America, except for the WH, where nobody but hired staff seems to work while the Obamas travel, vacation, campaign and party on our dime. It is outrageous that the Obamas flaunt such a luxurious lifestyle especially while so many people are hurting. I don’t think he wanted to be POTUS to help America, he just wanted to suck up all the perks of the job.
