The Obama Morning News || August 15, 2011

by Keith Koffler on August 15, 2011, 7:20 am

Treasury Secretary Geithner and Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke have little firepower left in the arsenal to fight another recession. The White House is internally debating whether to focus on proposals showcase Obama trying to improve the economy or those that take on the GOP.

Republican opposition to funding means Obama administration will fall short of its international pledges on carbon emissions.

Of all people, Obama is having a problem with “the vision thing,” failing to project a consistent, compelling vision for the country, according to POLITICO.

Obama has shifted from coaxing the GOP to swaying the public. The president today begins a three day bus trip through the upper Midwest.

A GOP campaign that has been slow to take shape now has top tier of Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry.

Bachmann’s win gives a little more heft to the usually pointless Ames poll. And now, the battle for Iowa is ON.

Tim Pawlenty’s withdrawal is a recognition he was simply the wrong man. After announcing in South Carolina, Perry plunged into New Hampshire.

And Herman Cain’s campaign continued its crash to earth.

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
Winston Churchill

Too bad Obozo, Geithner, Bernanke & the rest of the Left wasted their time in college being indoctrinated by their Commie Profs on Marx instead of learning from Churchill and our Founding Fathers.

After 50 years, even Fidel Castro has finally admitted that Socialism doesn’t work.

Unfortunately for the USA, Liberals are dumber than Castro.

Only 17 more months ’til we remove the Marxist in the Oval Office and cancel “Amateur Hour” at the White House.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Obama’s popularity drop even further after the Obamapolooza tour. His 3-day bus tour followed by a 10-day vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, is beyond hubris. After reading many of the comments on the USA Today article about the bus tour, one thing is for certain…there are a lot of unhappy bitter clingers out in flyover country.

yes there are Susan ! This lame, blame bus tour will only irritate us “folks”who are clinging to our guns & religion (as barry hussein put it).. He will be in unknown territory.. a place he knows nothing about… where “Folks” have pride in their work.. where manual labor is NOT reserved only for the illegal mexicans.. where most husbands/fathers have ONE wife and dont abandon their family by running to kenya.. this country would be better off if you did the same barry ! (except take the family with you on YOUR dime, not ours!)

Both of you make excellent points on this ill-advised bus trip. It won’t help MrO and most likely will hurt his standing with the voters.
But, except for the novelty of the POTUS stepping down from a bus, the tour will have the same nothing effect as his frequent trips to factories to promote his ‘green’ agenda.

Oh, yeah–the shirtsleeves, the preening, the prancing, the lame small talk, the toothy fake smile–gird your loins.

You all make excellent point. Speaking of Tpaw, I think we might be better served by him if he runs for Senate….

At least Cain got out there and pitched. I admire that. I did hear one gotcha question (Gregory?) where Bachmann used Satan and gays in the same sentence…and I thought yoh-boy.
