As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Man Jumps the Fence at the White House

A homeless man who has apparently been hanging around the White House jumped the fence yesterday. From CNN:

According to the Secret Service, the detained man is James Dirk Crudup, 41, who is homeless. He will be charged with unlawful entry and contempt of court because he previously had been ordered to stay away from the White House due to past incidents, the agency said.

This happens every once in a while, and they generally don’t get very far. This one seems to have obeyed orders, lying down and waiting to be taken away. Otherwise, a dog might have been sent to tackle him. Never heard of anyone getting shot.

Notice the Secret Service guys in the black and white uniforms. They’re the greatest – I get along well with them, engaging in a little banter and joking every day as I enter the premises – and they’re putting they’re lives on the line for the president and everyone else who works in the White House, including the reporters.

But as you can see – and as compared to the special ops guys in the dark uniforms – they’re just like regular cops, with the occasional irresistible urge to hit the donuts.

  1. C’mon, MrsO refers to the WhiteHouse as the “people’s house” and the guy, figuring that he’s a “people”, was just going home.

  2. The council of 13 is completely unconstitutional. But how do we stop it. Short of taking up arms the ones we elect to hold to the constitution are the ones screwing us. I am a bit confused right now with how this is even possible but we are facing a new era of tyranny. the ones who we elected last term that actually stood on what they said during elections and stood on what we the people wanted are now being classified as terrorists
Vice President Joe Biden said Monday that fiscal conservatives “acted like terrorists” during the debt-ceiling debate.
Rep. Mike Doyle, Pennsylvania Democrat, that “We have negotiated with terrorists. This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”
what do we as citizens do to stop this madness. it seems that electing representatives is not working ad now with the institution of this ‘super congress’ it is even less effective than before.
