As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Democrats Accidentally Take Ownership of Economy

I have to believe, as Sean Hannity pointed out on his show today, that this is a gaffe.

Asked by CNN’s Ed Henry when it will be that Democrats stop blaming George W. Bush for the crummy economy and start taking credit or blame for it themselves, two and a half years into President Obama’s administration, DNC Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz put her arms around the economy and said “Right now! Mine, all mine.”

Let’s listen in.

I can’t imagine this was cleared by the White House, which is still blaming the “deep hole” dug for Obama by Bush for everything that still sucks.

The correct answer here was , “President Obama is playing like the Cincinnati Kid with the revolting hand he was dealt by Devil Worshiper George Bush and is doing everything humanly possible to clean up the stinking rotting mess. What he owns is the successful effort to save us from another Depression.”

See Debbie, it’s not that difficult.

I think Wasserman Schultz is so combative that she didn’t want to pussy foot away from the challenge. And she may actually be so drunk with her own spin that she has come to believe the economy is in a good place.

Hopefully someone will ask White House Press Secretary Jay Carney tomorrow if he agrees.

  1. She goes through her canned responses like a robot. Once she starts there’s nothing stopping her until she finishes. Then she gives that self- satisfied smile. She obviously can not think on her feet.

Her voice is painful to listen to. Why was she picked? I guess because they want to keep the Jewish vote and win Florida.

Furthermore, she has three young children who aren’t getting much quality time with her. Her decision to keep both her seat and the DNC post irritates me. The Jewish mothers I know, including myself, put their children first but I guess things have changed.

  2. That is just hilarious. He was in Florida just the other day heaping praise on her and here she goes and puts her foot in her mouth. I love it! The liberals are starting to spin out of control. First their up and coming star Mr. Weiner falls off his pedestal and now their DNC chairman blows Obama’s campaign platform. Not long before the Charlie Sheen-like meltdowns start occurring.

Granny Jan, Ideologues like Debbie Wasserman Shultz are too busy with their cause to pay attention to their children. Dysfunctional women tend to raise dysfunctional children.

  3. As a “fallen” Dem, I’m so glad that my people picked this woman to head the DNC. She reaffirms my slipping away from the fold as a smart move.
To think, I listened and believed without question but now I’m saved.
When WhatsernameShultz said that Repubs hate women, want seniors to starve it seemed a little over the top but this…

Now that the Dems have officially claimed responsibility for our crummy economy and all the woes that come attached to it, we should expect our Prez to step up with some real solutions. Thanks, Debbie.

  4. I find it hilarious that Wasserman Schultz spouts the disingenuous clap-trap of the administration about how they (the Obots) have brought about a salvation of the economy.

In ’05 unemployment was 5.1%, ’06 4.6, ’07 4.6 and ’08 5.9. In 2009 it shot up to 9.3, and 9.6% in 2010 (according to BLS). Many economist use the 4% level or less as being full employment.

The Dems/Progressives refuse to acknowledge that the primary reason for the current GLOBAL economic crisis was/is the bastard child of FDR, Federal National Mortgage Association (aka Fannie Mae) and her equally illegitimate brother Freddie Mac.

I know that some in the media have “pressed” the issue about how the economy did not truly tank until after Obama took over, but everyone seems to forget the F squared issue. And from what I have read recently we are still shoving money down that rabbit hole hoping the Hatter will come to his senses. Maybe some Alice can bring down the King, Queen and Knave of Hearts, and restore sanity to the realm. Then again, Obama just may e a Cheshire, and slowly disappear, leaving only his ignominious smile.

  5. “Yes, thats right. I don’t wash my hair for a week!”
    -Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL)

A note from our attorneys, this is not a real quote.

      • LOL!

Does anyone here remember when Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-FL) and Wasserman Shultz (D-FL) would hold a two-person meeting on C-Span on the floor of the House after everyone had left for the day? The camera’s made it seem as though there WERE Congressmen present (there weren’t) and Meek and Schultz would go back and forth, “Madam speaker I yeild back the balance of my time” — and carry on like six year olds. It was all a show.

  6. Fifteen hundred teachers were laid off at the end of the current school year.
This was in Broward county fl., where Wasserman’s district is located, maybe she didn’t get the memo ?
