From the White House:

In the afternoon, the President will host a Town Hall in the East Room as part of his Forum with Young African Leaders. This event will bring 115 young leaders from civil society and the private sector from more than 40 countries across Africa to Washington to meet with their American counterparts and U.S government officials. At the Town Hall, the President will discuss with them their vision for Africa for the next 50 years and the partnerships we can foster between our countries.

  1. Assuming the press release from the WH is verbatim it says nothing and everything. “Young leaders from civil society” what does that mean?
    “From 40 countries across Africa” really? are there really 40 countries across Africa? The statement is a puffery piece meant to give importance to political operatives from African countries coming to beg for funding for their pet projects.
    The President needs better advisors.

    • Yeah, I’m trying to give people an idea of what’s going on at the WH but the trade off is WH puffery. Not sure whether I’ll keep doing it.
