Deluged with accusations that President Obama has failed to step up on the Oil Spill crisis, including accusations from yours truly, the White House is going into Oil Spill Overdrive Monday.
Obama will meet with his Cabinet to discuss the issue. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs and National Incident Commander Admiral Thad Allen will brief together at the White House. White House Energy Czarina Carol Browner will host a live video chat on the White House website to “answer questions from the public.”
Obama in the afternoon will travel to Michigan to give the commencement address at Kalamazoo Central High School, where he’s sure to talk oil spill some more.
Obama deserves some credit. He’s finally acting like a president of the United States during a national emergency.
